Spiritual warfare is real. Watch out for Satan's lies. Remember, you were made alive through Christ because He triumphed over Satan!

On Sunday, Pastor Jake continued our Summer series that will take us verse-by-verse through the book of Colossians. This week’s message was on Colossians 2:8-15. It is amazingly easy for people to be deceived and rest their lives on what will ultimately be nothing. We are so easily tricked! We’ll get distracted by whatever is new, shiny, and different. When someone runs up to us, points into the sky, and says “look!”, we almost always look. Some of us stare for hours at nothing. Some of us base our lives on it, chase after it, prioritize it, and expend energy on it. It could be an idea or concept we hear from our friends or family, a theology or doctrine we hear from a teacher, or just a way of life pushed by our culture (like materialism, activity-based parenting, me-centeredness, etc.).

This Easter we kick off our new series "It's all about Jesus" in which we learn that power of remembering the person and work of Jesus Christ. If you have ever found yourself down for the count then you need this message in your corner. As you listen you will be encouraged to rise up with the victory that is found in Jesus alone.

Memory is a wonderful thing. We are to remember the Person and Work of Jesus Christ.

The basic principles are the fundamental philosophical building blocks of any given society, the world has a set and the church has set.
Did you know that in Christ you have complete salvation, complete forgiveness, and complete victory!
Not only does being reconciled to Christ change the way that God looks at us, it changes the ways demons look at us. Or more specifically, it should change the way we look at demons, because reconciliation is an important key to disarming demons and it opens the door for believers to take authority over demons.
What did the Cross of Calvary look like from Heaven?
8 See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits[a] of the world, and not according to Christ. 9 For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, 10 and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority. 11 In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead. 13 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14 by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. 15 He disarmed the rulers and authorities[b] and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.
