True Hope Foursquare Church
The Church at Philadelphia is a church that Jesus describes as having little strength, but at the same time Jesus does not have any words of correction for this church. He only has words of praise for them. Jesus also encourages this church by informing them that a door is about to open. We will talk about the significance of this open door.
The Church of Sardis (Revelation 3:1-6) is located in a city on hill that is difficult for foreign invaders to attack. However, twice in Sardis' history the watchmen failed to do their job and the city was attacked and defeated. In this section of the letter of Revelation, Jesus uses this historical example to speak to the failure of the watchmen of the church to do their job.
Jesus' message to the church in Thyatira (Rev. 2:18-29)

We will learn how stirring up love in one area or stage of our life can lead to a breakthrough of love in another area or stage of our life.
Do you ever struggle with strong feelings of temptation? In 1 Corinthians 10:13-14, Paul connects temptation with idolatry. In the words, if there is something in our lives that we are worshiping more than God that idol will manifest itself through temptation. When this happens, God will make a way of escape. The key to escaping the temptation is to flee from our idolatry and return to worshiping God alone.
In Mark 11, Jesus enters Jerusalem as a crowd of people praise Him and lay pieces of clothing and palm branches on the ground for the donkey He is riding to walk over. Shortly after this triumphal entry, Jesus cleanses the temple and curses a fig tree. Have you ever thought that was an odd combination of events for Mark to record in His gospel? In this message, we will explain the meaning and relationship between these events as we prepare our hearts to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection.

In this message, we will discuss how “the goodness of God leads (us) to repentance (Rom. 2:4 NKJV).” If we truly believe this verse, then we have to believe that a core characteristic of God is ‘goodness’. 100% goodness motivates everything God tells us to do. We have to trust that every path God tries to lead us down is for our greatest good. This includes the path of repenting of holding unforgiveness toward those who have hurt us the most.

In the first four-and-a-half chapters of Galatians, Paul makes it clear that false teachers are perverting the gospel and trying to deceive the Galatians into following the Old Testament Law. Starting in Galatians 5:13, Paul makes a transition and begins answering the following questions that will be discussed in the message… 1.) How should we think about sin now that we understand we are free from law-following? 2.) If our goal is to be free from sin, how do we accomplish that goal without law-following?
In order to help the Galatians understand how they had been tricked into returning to following the Old Testament Law, Paul explains to them the purpose of the Law. Understanding the purpose of the Law is the first step toward getting free from legalism.
Understanding what the Bible teaches about law and grace is critically important, because subtle misunderstandings of Scripture can be the difference between walking in grace-righteousness and works-righteousness. In Paul’s letter to the Galatians, he addressed an entire church that had abandoned the truth of the Gospel and began practicing legalism in its place (Gal. 1:6-7). By studying this letter, we can protect ourselves from falling into the same trap.
