Iiiit's Part 1 of our Dungeons and Dragons Special! We've been making escape rooms for over two years now, so we jumped at the opportunity when the lovely Jamie Gibbs from the Armchair Escapist offered to give us a fortnight off to play a short escaperoom adjacent D&D campaign, with puzzles, goblin abductions, and nice bread. So join... Jamie - Our noble GM and master of a thousand rustic voices Tony - Experienced D&D player, consumer of birthday beer, and the Masonry obsessed Dwarf Rogue Caskell Marwen (Emma) Bailey - D&D newbie, baker of banana bread, and the faces to the wall half ork Barbarian Bailinator Jones Ben - D&D newbie, awful punsmith, and Forquare Quendian, the Halfling Wizard Mike - D&D agnostic, hungover, and the dinner and dicking focused Bard, Clam Strumlington ...as we find ourselves trapped in this new world, slammed in to new personalities, and attempting to escape the crazy fantasy world. Oh yeah and don't worry - there's still a good old escape room puzzle in there you lucky folk. Here's the resource you'll need by the way for the puzzle... If you like the episode, and want us to do more weird and whacky stuff like this, then why not let us know via the Twitters or the Facebook? Alternatively you might be too busy being the coolest motherfucker alive, in which case you should probably head straight across to our Patreon.   (By the way - we recorded this miniseries in two monster recording sessions. We're going to break them in to smaller chunks for the episodes themselves to keep it all sensible and listenable. So Part 1 is the first half of the first recording, and Part 2 will be published a few days later. Due to the length of the recordings, we've not been able to give these quite as much attention to detail as we'd normally try to, so do please forgive us if you hear any unedited farts.)

“It's certainly not a skill that you would go develop, and then, you know, wear metal on your chest for being a great liar. One of the most important things about building your ultimate life is being trustworthy in understanding who you can trust and developing that trust. Who do you trust?” - Kellan Fluckiger Listen to more episodes of Your Ultimate Life: your-ultimate-life-by-kellan-fluckiger.simplecast.comWhat you are about to learnHow easy is it to give trust to someone? Or ourselves?  This was difficult, and I’ve had an enormous struggle with trusting others, and also, I was not trustworthy, and those are related. This was because of the past I experienced when I was young. I learned to lie because it protected me from punishment. It became a habit so severely that I adopted the practice without even meaning to and never planned to do this. But I found myself doing is saying whatever seemed to be good. And that was one of the most challenging things for me to change; also, one of the most challenging things for me to realize was how much I lied. How much I said things that were not true.I will ask you now. And that has to do with identifying whom you trust and whom you can trust. Can you trust someone you don't know? Or, can you trust your self? And so thinking about who you trust, let's start with yourself. One of the exciting things I work with people as a coach is for them to come face to face with how much they trust themselves. And as it turns out, a lot of us don't trust ourselves very much. A harrowing question. Because we realize that we don't trust ourselves very much, and that's sad because of all the people we should believe. We should trust ourselves, most of all, next to God. If we can't trust ourselves, what we say that we're going to do that we do, not just sometimes but every time. That means that then we assume others are the same. Because we don't see the world the way, it is.We see the world the way we are. So if we are not trustworthy, we project that on everyone else. And if we can't trust ourselves, we tend to expect that lack of trustworthiness in every relationship and situation. That makes it difficult to create relationships. And we all know that relationships should be built with trust, whether it is your relationship to your spouse, children, or working relationship with your workmates or friends.Do you trust God? Now, this gets both to not God's trustworthiness because that's infinite. But it goes back a bit to the first question: Can you trust someone you don't know? I don't know how to trust God if I don't know anything about God. If I don't know the intentions or the purposes a little bit at least, then it becomes harder to trust that being. That's one of the reasons that the spiritual portion of my morning ritual is so substantial. Reading sacred literature, spending considerable time in meditation and prayer, not only in the morning but often throughout the day, is the method that I've used to create and deepen a relationship with God. And it works. I’ve got to learn to trust myself. And I've got to learn to trust God completely. That doesn't mean that I don't fail. God never fails, but I do. And so then that involves a lot of forgiveness and a lot of willingness to start over and recommit and all that sort of stuff. But we have to learn to trust.Key Takeaways“How many places in your life do you have where you can talk to someone and say anything about anything and know that you will be accepted? Listen to no judgment, no fixing, just heard. And when I asked that question, quite often, I get an interesting reaction.”“So, I want you to think about whether or not trusting yourself and the word that you give to yourself as something you want to work on as you create your ultimate life.”“If you don't trust yourself very much, start small. Every time you speak a word, every time you say I'm going to hear the words I am going to, or I will and make careful notes. So the first step is to start paying attention, what you say you're going to do so that you are aware of your word, your word can't be your integrity, and be who you are, if you don't know if you're not aware of when you're speaking it. So step one is to be aware of and be very careful and intentional about everything that you speak. Then you can go about making sure that you keep that word. So Part one is to be a lot more careful with what you say that you'll do and the commitments you make.”“Start With the smallest possible commitments, maybe it's something about taking care of your body or getting up doing some small thing that you have absolute control over. And then practice being your word. practice doing exactly what you say, until you can absolutely look yourself in the eye and say, “Yes, I live in integrity, I do what I say, and I am whom I seem, with no sneakiness around the corner.” So start small and practice that. That's enough of an assignment for this because you'll find out that number one, it can grow very quickly. And number two, you'll also perhaps be surprised at how difficult that is. So be attentive pay, pay attention, be attentive to your word, and make sure you do it starting with the smallest things.”Connect with Kellan on your favorite platforms:Facebook: www.facebook.com/kellan.fluckiger3YouTube: www.youtube.com/c/ultimatelifeformulaLinkedIn:  https://www.linkedin.com/in/kellanfluckigerTwitter:  https://twitter.com/kellanfluckigerYou can find out more about Kellan and how he can help you achieve your ultimate life by checking out his website.Subscribe to the podcast on Apple, Spotify, Google Podcasts, iHeartRADIO, or anywhere else you listen to your podcasts. If you haven't already, please rate and review the podcast on  Apple Podcasts

Have you heard of this crazy amazing thing everybody’s talking about called the Enneagram? Some of you know exactly what we’re talking about and others are going, “Enna- what??” So, the Enneagram, in a nutshell is an ancient personality type system (similar to Myers-Briggs), but what the Enneagram is known for is it's unreal accuracy in describing how humans are wired, both positively and negatively. We talk so much about the Enneagram on the show, we thought, we'd better have an expert on to explain it WELL. So guys, we got the best of the best for you! It is with GREAT joy that we tell you our very special guest today is none other than the incredible Enneagram Master Teacher, Suzanne Stabile. Suzanne has been teaching the Enneagram for over 25 years, she’s written two amazing books that have impacted us personally and many others as well! The Road Back to You, which is an overview of Enneagram as a whole and each of the 9 types, and her brand new book, The Path Between Us which shows us how to use the Enneagram as a tool to have healthier relationships! To make it easier to understand and apply, we have organized our conversation with Suzanne according to those two themes as well.... So Part 1 is Suzanne’s incredible story, a basic overview of the Enneagram, and a description of the 9 types. In Part 2 we really dive deeper into how the Enneagram can help us grow in our relationships with each other and with God. Whatever your understanding of the E is, whether extensive or if it's brand new to you, you’re absolutely going to fall in love with it today and with Suzanne as well! Welcome to your new obsession. Hey Everyone,After a busy weekend, we're finally coming out with Podcast #4, or maybe better called - Drunkcast #4, so a word of caution :)The topics we touched on in this podcast were a discussion starting with how society created the need for evil to be personified, meaning how Satan was sowed in to our consciousness. From this we very disjointedly progressed onwards to talk about the origins of Christianity and how we think it is very much based on various other older religions, how it is a form of controlling the public and how Christianity was spread around. We ended up taking a break after we got through discussing the previously mentioned subjects, but much to be attributed to beer, we forgot to turn the recording off for the break. We ended up taking a lot off time on this break, having a moot argument about opinion vs point of view, so long in fact that other engagements prevented us from recording the second half of the podcast. What we did record during the break was still a pretty disjointed conversation, so we thought we'd share that as well!So Part 2 of the Podcast is us not knowing we were recording and having a very disjointed and moot argument. The sound quality for part two is not the best either, but hopefully you can get something out of it! We also met up on Saturday to create Podcast #5, which was a shorter one, due to everyone having that old Saturday night fever.More on that later!Hope you enjoy! - The Disjointed Podcast CrewPodcast #4
