A Table at the Tan-O: Conversations About the World of General Hospital
Willow is fully committed to this distraught Mrs. Cain role, and everyone seems to be buying it! Except....Kai? Will he and Trina do a little digging? And kudos to Curtis and Isaiah for trying to stand up for Portia, who should be back on the job in no time because, let's face it, there are only four doctors at General Hospital, and she's one of them. Meanwhile, Ava, Joss, and Britt all appear to be heading to Spoon Island. They may actually have what it takes to shut down Sidwell and the new ghoul in town. So sad that Britt and Jason won't have their date. But, in other news, Alexis will finally get to spend all the time she wants with Scout, and hopefully Danny will too. We loved connecting with Rena Sofer for a Port Charles 411 cast interview because teenage Amanda and Shannon never would've believed we'd get to spend an afternoon talking with Lois Cerullo herself. Staying warm at home in upstate New York, Rena shared what it was like stepping back into Lois after so many years away, along with behind the scenes stories and some real life conversation too.We talked about the things Lois fans care about most, like the friendship of Lois and Brenda, Lois' signature press on nails, and how different filming is now compared to the '90s. Rena also opened up about ceramics, animal rescue, and the benefit event she's planning in Pittsburgh later this year to support animal and human food banks.Want to hear the full conversation with Rena Sofer? This week on General Hospital (Jan 12–16, 2026) was tense and emotionally heavy, with the trial driving nearly everything. Much of our discussion focused on Alexis, whose role shifted once she learned Trina and Kai were with Drew the night he was shot. Her choices — and the moral gray area she navigated with Diane and Sonny — showed just how boxed in she truly was.In court, reasonable doubt ruled, but the verdict didn't bring clean closure. Fallout lingered for Dante and Chase, while chaos exploded at the Quartermaine house as Tracy, Ned, Olivia, and Drew collided, ending with Olivia pulling a rifle on Drew and Laura later forcing a fragile truce. We also covered Molly and Cody taking a sincere, slightly uncomfortable step forward, Anna's disturbing isolation and psychological manipulation, and the growing uncertainty around Faison's shadow. Valentin, Carly, Brennan, and Cullum continued taking risks that feel ready to unravel.Plus: Britt and Jason's axe-throwing date and concerns about old patterns, set changes, legal nuance, cast news, and a listener theory that Drew could be Shiloh.Hosts Amanda and Shannon break it all down in their weekly recap.

This week's Port Charles 411 Fan Spotlight features a relaxed, thoughtful conversation with longtime listener Sam Nolan. Sam shared how she first connected with General Hospital, what it was like growing up with the show, and why staying spoiler-free has always mattered to her — especially when it comes to major emotional moments. We also talked about representation on GH through Leo, how real-life experiences can deepen the viewing experience, and why some recent twists feel more exhausting than shocking. The conversation naturally flowed into favorite characters, current frustrations, and speculation that longtime fans will instantly recognize. This podcast is not endorsed by, directly affiliated with, maintained, authorized, or sponsored by ABC Television Network, Prospect Studios, or any official General Hospital organizations. Amanda and Shannon recap a heavy, trial-driven week in Port Charles (January 5–9, 2026). We talk through key testimony, shifting assumptions, and the moments that reframed the case without rushing to conclusions. The ringtone clue, Drew's time on the stand, and Willow's flashbacks all reshaped how the week landed. We also touch on Trina and Kai's investigation, Portia's complicated emotional dilemma, Laura's quiet decisions, and several small details — including a Greek New Year's tradition and some real-world procedural questions — that added unexpected depth to the week. This podcast is not endorsed by, directly affiliated with, maintained, authorized, or sponsored by ABC Television Network, Prospect Studios, or any official General Hospital organizations. In the oceans of ink devoted to the monumental movie star/businesswoman/political activist Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor (1932-2011), her beauty and not-so-private life frequently overshadowed her movies. While she knew how to generate publicity like no other, her personal life is set aside in this volume in favor of her professional oeuvre and unique screen dynamism. In On Elizabeth Taylor: An Opinionated Guide (Oxford UP, 2024), her marriages, illnesses, media firestorms, perfume empire, violet eyes, and AIDS advocacy take a back seat to Elizabeth Taylor, the actress. Taylor's big screen credits span over fifty years, from her pre-adolescent debut in There's One Born Every Minute (1942) to her cameo in The Flintstones (1994). She worked steadily in everything from the biggest production in film history (Cleopatra in 1963) to a humble daytime TV soap opera (General Hospital in 1981). Each of her sixty-seven film appearances is recapped here with background on their inception, production, release, and critical and financial outcome. On Elizabeth Taylor: An Opinionated Guide is a cradle-to-grave chronology of Taylor's life, noting key events, achievements, and milestones. This book offers a work-by-work analysis of her entire career told in chronological order, each film headlined with year of release, distributing studio, and director. This in-depth overview provides an invaluable new way of understanding Taylor's full life and work, as well as the history and nuances of the film industry as it existed in the twentieth century. Kennedy engagingly reassesses Taylor's acting and the nuances she brought to the screen - this includes a consideration of her specific art, the development of her voice, her relationship to the camera, and her canny understanding of the effect she had on audiences worldwide. Kennedy also provides an elucidating guide to her entire filmography, one that speaks to the quality of her performances, their contours and shading, and their context within her extraordinary life and career. On Elizabeth Taylor is a beautifully comprehensive overview of a singular actress of the twentieth century, offering new ways to see and appreciate her skill and peerless charisma, in turn placing her among the greatest film stars of all time. In this special Port Charles 411 episode, we talk about everything that happened on General Hospital in 2025, breaking the year down month by month and reliving the moments that made us laugh, gasp, rewind, and occasionally yell at the TV. We walk through the biggest arcs of the year, track how storylines evolved (or exploded), and check in on relationships, returns, recasts, and Port Charles chaos—all while keeping it fun, conversational, and very fan-focused.We also revisit our predictions from earlier in the year to see who actually had the most come true, calling ourselves out when we were wrong and celebrating the times we surprisingly nailed it. Along the way, we sprinkle in our favorite details, callbacks, and observations that only longtime viewers notice, because that's half the fun of loving this show.We wrap things up by looking ahead to 2026 with our predictions, questions, and a few “we cannot believe we're even saying this out loud” moments, setting the stage for where the show could be headed next.If you want the full breakdown, all the context, and the laughs that go with it, you'll want to listen to the complete episode. This was a short holiday week on General Hospital (Dec 29, 2025–Jan 2, 2026), with no new episodes on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day.We discussed the New Year's Day re-air of Luke Spencer's final episode, which was not an actual tribute, but a 2015 re-air from when Anthony Geary left the show. It was promoted like a farewell, but we're hoping a proper tribute honoring his decades-long legacy is still coming.Lulu and Nathan talked about Maxie and why a coma return isn't the same as coming back from the dead. Carly and Valentin shared a moment about Charlotte, with Valentin grateful to be treated like a person and father. Curtis and Jordan discussed their future and slept together. Cody surprised Molly at work on New Year's Eve, they spent the night together, and were caught off guard by Felicia and James — leading to James asking if Molly was Cody's girlfriend, with Cody saying yes and Molly saying no at the same time.Alexis shifted Willow's defense strategy, Kristina reacted, Sonny warned Michael, and Scout told Willow that Danny had been at Alexis's house. Laura learned from Charlotte that Sidwell approached her and Ace, and Tracy met Jacinda and was kinder than expected. This podcast is not endorsed by, directly affiliated with, maintained, authorized, or sponsored by ABC Television Network, Prospect Studios, or any official General Hospital organizations. In court, Portia was subpoenaed and forced to admit on the stand that she altered Heather Webber's test results and that she was with Isaiah the night Drew was shot, triggering fallout for Curtis and Trina. The judge recessed the trial until the new year, leaving Alexis to reassess her strategy and Drew increasingly exposed as his pressure tactics surfaced. Dante suspended Chase after testimony that undermined the PCPD, and Alexis received information suggesting Michael may have been at Drew's house the night of the shooting.Christmas scenes were spread across Maxie's, Curtis's, Lulu's, Sonny's, Carly's, Laura's, and the Quartermaine mansion, while Boxing Day began at Wyndemere. Marco explained to Lucas how important the Boxing Day tradition is to his father, Sidwell, setting up expectations for more to come. Additional Boxing Day moments appeared at the Quartermaine house as Tracy tried to maintain long-standing customs (that we've never seen before). Willow fought for Scout to see her family, for Molly and Cody to move forward, and Gio to played “O Holy Night”.Listen at GeneralHospitalPodcast.com #gh #ghupdates #jasonmorgan #lauracollins #brooklynnquartermaine #sonnycorinthos #dantefalconeri #drewcain #luluspencer #trinarobinson #emmascorpiodrake #giopalmieri #brittwestbourne #roccofalconeri #mollylansingdavis #elizabethwebber #nathanwest #curtisashford #jordanashford #jamespatrickstuart #valentincassadine #annadevane #finolahughes #cesarfaison #ninareeves #lukkespencer #anthonygeary #kirstenstormsThis podcast is not endorsed by, directly affiliated with, maintained, authorized, or sponsored by ABC Television Network, Prospect Studios, or any official General Hospital organizations. This episode is Part 1 of Christmases of Port Charles Past, covering 1963–2018, and highlights the holiday moments that shaped General Hospital Christmases across decades. Rather than a full recap, we focus on the traditions that became the heart of the show — especially the General Hospital pediatric Christmas celebration and the beloved ritual of Dr. Steve Hardy reading the Christmas story, which returns year after year as a symbol of stability and community. We also revisit classic Quartermaine Christmases, complete with the iconic tree and electric train, where family warmth and tension often went hand in hand.Along the way, we call out specific nostalgic milestones fans will recognize instantly: Luke and Laura's Christmas moments, from exchanging gifts by the tree to Luke returning in time to place the angel atop the Spencer family tree; the Gift of the Magi–style Christmas with Grant and Celia; BJ's handmade card and Frisco doting on Robin; and the unforgettable Christmas tree lot episode where Sonny unexpectedly saves Christmas Eve. We also note a fun Port Charles pattern — how often Christmas comes with an engagement ring.As the years move closer to the modern era, we tease later standouts without giving everything away, including Liz's music-themed gift to Lucky, David Koz performing during hospital Christmas episodes, Luke's Christmas Carol–inspired “Scrooge” episode, and the year Krampus replaced the traditional Christmas story. Part 1 wraps in 2018, setting the stage for Part 2, which will continue the timeline from 2019–2024.This podcast is not endorsed by, directly affiliated with, maintained, authorized, or sponsored by ABC Television Network, Prospect Studios, or any official General Hospital organizations. This episode revisits General Hospital Christmases from 2019–2024, spotlighting the moments that mixed holiday tradition with classic Port Charles storytelling. It begins in 2019 at the General Hospital Christmas party, where Monica reads 'Twas the Night Before Christmas before the night transforms into A Christmas Carol—with Finn as Scrooge, forced to see Christmas through the eyes of a new father. That year also delivers warm community moments at Rice Plaza with Curtis as Santa and a Christmas reunion when Sam is released and brought home to her family. The middle years, 2020 and 2021, lean quieter and more reflective. Families try to keep Christmas steady while bigger storylines unfold, and the hospital remains the emotional center of the season with Kevin Collins as Santa, Lucy organizing the pediatric celebration, and Martin Gray bringing gifts to elderly patients—small moments that keep the holiday spirit grounded. The later stretch blends nostalgia and escalation. 2022 brings the Gingerbread Jam, Esme's improvised tower Christmas tree, and Trina's ornament honoring Rory. 2023 returns to familiar warmth with Curtis, Marshall, and Trina Christmas tree shopping, Quartermaine decorating chaos, Chase and Brook Lynn's engagement, and a Christmas Eve hospital gathering that quietly marks Monica Quartermaine's final holiday scenes, before 2024 teases both heart and shock, including Lucky and Elizabeth decorating together and his serenade of “Elizabeth.”#luckyspencer #lizwebber #generalhospitalhistory #twasthenightbeforechristmas #ebenezerscrooge #achristmascarol #monicaquartermaine #GeneralHospital #GH #GHHistory #ChristmasTraditions #HolidayVibes #GHThrowback #SoapOperaPodcast #ChristmasEpisode #GeneralHospitalPodcast This podcast is not endorsed by, directly affiliated with, maintained, authorized, or sponsored by ABC Television Network, Prospect Studios, or any official General Hospital organizations. We began with a correction to a previous Bobbie 411 episode, clarifying that Felicia struck Peter August rather than shooting him, along with a brief explanation of SORAS and a few predictions. We also shared an update to our programming plans: instead of finishing our Bobbie Spencer 411 as scheduled, we decided to pause that series following the recent passing of Anthony Geary. As a result, we are re-releasing our first Christmas special from 2019 and adding a bonus second episode to cover the gap.Tracy returned to town and learned about Ned's heart attack, expressing frustration that she had not been told. Ned explained it was his decision. Tracy quickly resumed her role within the family and later spoke with Michael about protecting him. Meanwhile, Willow's trial began, with testimony from Tracy, Brook Lynn, Kristina, Dante, Elizabeth, and Drew. Missing footage, inconsistencies in Willow's alibi, and Drew's statement that he does not know who shot him raised further questions.Lulu continued dealing with issues involving Charlotte as Brennan pressured her for access and later involved Nina to help reach Charlotte. Nina and Charlotte went to dinner, where Nina warned her about trust. Valentin cautioned Carly that Brennan may have manipulated her from the start and questioned whether incriminating evidence Brennan claimed to have destroyed was actually gone or still being held. Brennan later gave Carly a necklace, which she removed after he left. The Five Poppies storyline progressed as Jason asked Joss for help investigating Britt's connection to Cesar Faison's final project. Brennan confronted Britt and demanded her cooperation, threatening to expose her past work unless she complied. Britt pushed for help restoring her medical license in exchange. Anna discovered a book linked to Faison, The Crystalline Conspiracy, hidden under her lunch tray.At the hospital, Britt continued to face tension with Elizabeth and reacted poorly to a letter of recommendation written by Lucas.Britt reconnected with Brad, leading to an expensive dinner they could not pay for and their subsequent arrest by Chase. Elsewhere, Nathan helped Lulu with Charlotte, Dante worked to repair relationships involving Gio and Rocco, Laura met with Sidwell about his business plans, and Isaiah continued caring for Portia while referencing possible paternity.

My heart broke this week when I heard about the passing of General Hospital icon Anthony Geary. So many of us remember where we were when his character, Luke, married Laura. I grew up watching this show with my mom and sister, and I still watch it every night with my husband Patrick. We had the honor of interviewing Anthony Geary back in May of 2015 when he was retiring from the show. When we released the episode, Anthony sent me a text thanking me. As you'll hear in the intro, it's something I hold dear to my heart and will never forget. I will always treasure this intimate, honest and beautiful conversation with one of the greats. We will all miss you, Anthony and my deepest condolences to Anthony's husband, Claudio. The program opened with breaking local news involving a serious traffic collision near LAX, where a shuttle bus and multiple vehicles were involved, leaving several people injured and prompting a large emergency response. Sports and inspiration followed with a spotlight on an emotional speech by an Indiana quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner, emphasizing family values, perseverance, and the importance of finishing what you start. The segment reinforced a broader message about parenting, discipline, and resilience, arguing that making quitting easy for children can shape lifelong habits. The conversation then shifted to major sports headlines and speculation, including reports surrounding Patrick Mahomes and the potential impact of a devastating injury on the NFL playoff picture. Adding to the shock factor, the show discussed reports of longtime NFL quarterback Philip Rivers making a historic return to the field, reigniting debate about legacy, longevity, and competitive drive. A heartfelt tribute followed, marking what would have been Tim Conway’s birthday, celebrating his enduring influence and comedic legacy. Attention returned to developing and disturbing reports involving Nick Reiner, including claims that he was placed on suicide watch and new allegations emerging from tabloid coverage. The show emphasized caution while acknowledging the seriousness of the reports and the emotional toll on families and the public. The tone briefly lifted with community-focused stories, including a visit from June Bugs, a rallying cry to “go tell the world,” and a feel-good feature on an Anaheim tree lot known for employing workers with autism, highlighting inclusion and opportunity. The segment closed with entertainment news that stirred strong reactions, including reports surrounding a beloved daytime television icon associated with General Hospital’s legendary Luke and Laura storyline, with listeners expressing nostalgia, grief, and disbelief.
