Tara chats with author Sydney Leigh about her latest novel, Instagoner, published on August 27, 2024 by Level Best Books; it is the first book in the Bark and Blog Mystery series. When lifestyle blogger Emily finds the body of the local controversial talk show host who also happens to be her arch-nemesis, she enlists the help of her online audience, her best friend and barista Fitz, and furry, four-footed roommate Murray who help solve the crime. Sydney spent several years running a seasonal business, allowing her to spend the cold months in cool places. She now spends her work time thinking about murder and writing cozy mysteries. Hailing from Lake Orion, MI., Sydney been singing since the very young age of 5 and started writing when she was 10 years old. She has also enjoyed musical theater and acting over the years, however, singing has been her primary focus. At 12, Sydney Leigh worked with a local producer and recorded her 1st original song. Since then she has been writing, recording and playing live acoustic shows. Sydney Leigh released her debut EP “Crazy Beautiful” this January. It is a four song Pop EP with a strong positive message, incredible vocals and impeccable production. Sydney wrote and recorded with Nolan Lambroza (Sir Nolan), Steve Daly (Tracklacers) and Heidi Rojas in Los Angeles, California. The “Crazy Beautiful” EP is a great example of what Sydney Leigh represents and if you’re not a fan yet you will be!
