You don't need to hear anything more about these unprecedented times, so we'll just say it: we did a show on zoom. A fantastic coast to coast lineup came together to hang and argue some silly debates. The Waking Windows festival in Vermont also featured this on their live stream, many thanks to them. We are doing another zoom show on June 5th at 9 EST/8 CST/6 PST. Follow us @argueandgrieve on all platforms to stay up to date. Annie Russell hosts: Carmen Lagala vs. Tim Barnes: Larry Bird vs. Actual Birds Christopher Santiago vs. Evelyn Troutman: The Cure vs The Cure Molly Kearney vs. Carly Kane: Showers vs. Baths Shane Torres vs. Zach Peterson: Cuts vs. Bruises
The festival, which began in Vermont, features Moodymann, Priests, and Car Seat Headrest
The House List traveled to Winooski, Vermont with a special taping in front of a live studio audience for the 'Waking Windows' music/art festival. Peter Agoston and his very special guest MILO meet for the first time and talk about life, rap, recording, touring and all the innuendo in between. Joined by production/label partner Safari Al (aka s.al), this marks the first time ever 'The House List' podcast is recorded live. Can't you tell from the mics? It was a fun, exhilarating experience and we hope that if you aren't already hip to MILO and his 'Ruby Yacht' projects that you may be inspired to start checking for 'em. If you're fan, then you're in for treats. Just don't forget to subscribe on iTunes, SoundCloud et al and tell a friend on a message board of any kind to check this out.
This exhibition showcases the work of artists in the audiovisual platform/archive at La Vidéothèque, an online resource centre which has been compiling and diffusing the creations of video artists from across the globe since 2010. Universo vídeo. La Vidéothèque presents nine works offering a cross-section of happening tendencies in audiovisual creation today. Like an electrical circuit or system, the singularities of each individual work feed off, affect and transform the following one, creating a narrative where links with other forms and different motives are forged or broken. Curated by: Chloé Dragna and Alfredo Aracil Artists & works: Ismail Bahri, Orientations, 2010 Philippe Cote, Des nuages aux fêlures de la terre, 2007 Combes & Renaud, Pornographie, 2008 Boris du Boullay, Je n’ai fait que t’attendre, 2013 Thibault Jehanne, Eclipse, 2014 Ben Russell, The Twilight State, 2014 Oriol Sánchez, Waking Windows aka Victoria's Wake, 2014 Jérôme Schlomoff, Henri Plaat, 2010 Elise Vandewalle, Première demeure, 2010
