Clint Marsh uses elements of myth, magic, folklore, and humor to help readers navigate everyday life. Growing up in rural Iowa, the son of entrepreneurs who encouraged him in his creative pursuits, Clint went on to pursue a journalism degree from the University of Iowa and has built a career as a writer, publisher, and book designer. Active in the independent publishing community for over 25 years, Clint produces literary works of practical esoterica under the name Wonderella Printed. His essays have been collected into books including The Mentalist's Handbook (Red Wheel Weiser) and, as Reginald Bakeley, Goblinproofing One's Chicken Coop (Conari Press), which won the Bookseller/Diagram Prize for oddest title of the year. well. here is a very stupid riddle: How does a very small mole? if you answer it, send me an email and i'll send you a prize. lets talk shop. 1) todays show is about quantum tunneling. it features henry Reich blowing us all out of the water with his high caliber explanations. It also features Justin Pierce of Wonderella fame. you should watch one minute physics videos and read wonderella. skip work today. 2.0) sorry about the sound quality, i'm still fighting a new internet connection. I'm doing my best, and i have honestly spent about 12 hours edting this. 2.1) at the end of the show is a lot of content that I threw into the appendices. enjoy. 2) Apple has a new podcast app. go see if you can find us on it? if you can't write us a review or something. I'm still trying to wrangle it currently. I hate it when things change. 3) maybe nominations for this year's podcasting awards are going to open up? maybe we should be nominated for the science category? maybe we don't stand a chance against those skeptics podcasts. maybe lots of things happen. getting on that list sure would make a lot of people notice the show though. 4) KEEP SCIENCE IN YOUR HEARTS! 5) If we get nominated for a podcasting award, i'll try to find a better (cheaper) place that sells t-shirts. then, tshirts for everyone!
Justin Pierce of the webcomic Wonderella joins us for this week’s show! We discuss what exactly Wonderella is a parody of, how it evolved into having as much political content as it does, the importance of “soon,” drawing the impossible, why Justin is often mistaken for Justine, and much more! Plus, we answer a biblical piece of listener mail and welcome Hundo Club member Ziah Grace!
This image comes from the hilarious webcomic, Wonderella. In this episode, the heroes of New Arcadia face a seemingly invincible foe - the leader of the Crystal Children cult. His powers stop anyone from attacking him directly or indirectly so he cannot be assassinated or captured. Can our heroes devise a means to stop this powerful psychic cult leader? Aside from that, the heroes have to secure the Hellmirror, a powerful and evil magical artifact but this isn't as easy as it seems, even though it resides in the police evidence locker.
