Die Sehnsucht nach dem Ende und Vernichtung hat es scheinbar immer schon gegeben, wenn selbsternannte Propheten die Apokalypse verkündeten. "Lauft ihnen nicht nach!", ruft Jesus uns zu. [Evangelium: Lukas, Kapitel 21, Verse 5 bis 19] In jener Zeit, als einige darüber sprachen, dass der Tempel mit schön bearbeiteten Steinen und Weihegeschenken geschmückt sei, sagte Jesus: Es werden Tage kommen, an denen von allem, was ihr hier seht, kein Stein auf dem andern bleibt, der nicht niedergerissen wird. Sie fragten ihn: Meister, wann wird das geschehen und was ist das Zeichen, dass dies geschehen soll? Er antwortete: Gebt Acht, dass man euch nicht irreführt! Denn viele werden unter meinem Namen auftreten und sagen: Ich bin es! und: Die Zeit ist da. – Lauft ihnen nicht nach! Wenn ihr von Kriegen und Unruhen hört, lasst euch nicht erschrecken! Denn das muss als Erstes geschehen; aber das Ende kommt noch nicht sofort. Dann sagte er zu ihnen: Volk wird sich gegen Volk und Reich gegen Reich erheben. Es wird gewaltige Erdbeben und an vielen Orten Seuchen und Hungersnöte geben; schreckliche Dinge werden geschehen und am Himmel wird man gewaltige Zeichen sehen. Aber bevor das alles geschieht, wird man Hand an euch legen und euch verfolgen. Man wird euch den Synagogen und den Gefängnissen ausliefern, vor Könige und Statthalter bringen um meines Namens willen. Dann werdet ihr Zeugnis ablegen können. Nehmt euch also zu Herzen, nicht schon im Voraus für eure Verteidigung zu sorgen; denn ich werde euch die Worte und die Weisheit eingeben, sodass alle eure Gegner nicht dagegen ankommen und nichts dagegen sagen können. Sogar eure Eltern und Geschwister, eure Verwandten und Freunde werden euch ausliefern und manche von euch wird man töten. Und ihr werdet um meines Namens willen von allen gehasst werden. Und doch wird euch kein Haar gekrümmt werden. Wenn ihr standhaft bleibt, werdet ihr das Leben gewinnen. En 1935, Himmler crée les Lebensborn : des maternités nazies visant à faire naître une « race aryenne parfaite ». Sous couvert de soins et de protection, ces établissements sélectionnent des femmes « racialement pures » pour enfanter les futurs nazis. Les enfants, parfois arrachés à leur mère, sont élevés dans une idéologie de haine. Deux Lebensborn sont installés à Lamorlaye (France) et Wégimont (Belgique), où naissent des centaines de bébés. À la Libération, les nazis fuient avec ces enfants. Certains seront adoptés, d'autres envoyés dans des orphelinats ou perdus à jamais. Après-guerre, les enfants des Lebensborn découvrent un passé lourd de silence, de rejet ou de mensonge. Quelques mères tentent de retrouver leur enfant, d'autres refusent de revivre ce passé. Jugés à Nuremberg, les responsables Lebensborn échappent à toute condamnation. Reste une génération entière marquée par un projet eugéniste sans précédent. Rudolf Scholten und Wolfgang MaderthanerGESCHICHTSSCHREIBUNG ZWITSCHEN MYTHEN UND LEGENDEN – FOLGE 9Zentraleuropa im späten Mittelalter: Kirchenkrise, Pogrome, apokalyptische RevolutionäreAn der Wende vom 14. zum 15. Jahrhundert durchlebt Mitteleuropa turbulente, von Machtkämpfen und kriegerischen Konflikten geprägte Zeiten. Das Habsburgerreich ist nach dem Tod Rudolfs IV. von Nachfolgekämpfen geprägt, die Besitzungen für fünf Jahrzehnte auf eine Albertinische und eine Leopoldinische Linie aufgeteilt. Die römisch-deutschen Könige stellt seit Mitte des 14. Jahrhunderts das Fürstengeschlecht der Luxemburger. Die römisch-katholische Kirche steckt in einer tiefen Krise: 1378 kommt es zur Kirchenspaltung, dem sog. Abendländischen Schisma, eine Zeit lang amtieren sogar drei Päpste, die Klöster verkommen. In Böhmen steht der Theologe und Prediger Jan Hus gegen den moralischen Verfall der Amtskirche auf, fordert tiefgreifende Reformen und findet in kurzer Zeit eine große Anhängerschaft in der Bevölkerung und auch unter böhmischen Adeligen. Auf Drängen des deutsch-römischen Königs Sigismund, Herrscher über Ungarn und Kroatien, findet 1415 das Konzil von Konstanz statt, um die Kirchenspaltung zu überwinden. Dies gelingt zwar, aber die Hinrichtung von Jan Hus als Ketzer – dem Sigismund freies Geleit zugesagt hatte - löst die Hussitenkriege aus. In diesen entladen sich nicht nur religiöse sondern auch nationale (deutsch-tschechische) und soziale Spannungen. 15 Jahre erschüttern die Kämpfe zwischen den Hussiten und den Kreuzzugsheeren König Sigismunds und des Papstes Böhmen und die angrenzenden Länder. An vorderster Front kämpften bei den Hussiten die radikalen Taboriten, die Maderthaner als „Gotteskrieger des Mittelalters“ beschreibt. Militärischer Anführer der anderen Seite war Habsburger-Herzog Albrecht V., verheiratet mit Sigismunds Tochter Elisabeth von Luxemburg. Zur Finanzierung seiner Feldzüge begeht er einen grausamen Tabubruch: Er veranlasst die Enteignung und Vertreibung der jüdischen Bevölkerung Wiens, deren Vermögen er einzieht. Zugeständnisse der Kirche ermöglichen 1434 einen Frieden mit gemäßigteren Fraktionen der Hussiten, die radikalen Taboristen werden auf dem Schlachtfeld besiegt. Sigismund wird auch von den Böhmen als König anerkannt. 1437 stirbt Sigismund, Erbin der Thronansprüche im deutschen Reich, in Ungarn, Böhmen und Kroatien ist seine Tochter Elisabeth. Profiteur ist Albrecht V. von Österreich. Als Ehemann Elisabeths folgt er seinem Schwiegervater als römisch-deutscher König nach, und Ungarn, Böhmen und Kroatien werden Teil des Habsburgischen Herrschaftsgebiets. Alfred de Montesquiou publie "Le crépuscule des hommes" (éditions Robert Laffont), essai pour lequel il a reçu le prix Renaudot. Dans ce livre, il revient dans les coulisses de ce procès historique, où les plus grands journalistes du monde entier se sont retrouvés, à travers l'œil d'un photographe américain et d'une interprète germano-tchèque. À quoi peut bien servir la COP30 au Brésil en pleine flambée du climatoscepticisme ?Du 10 au 21 novembre à Belem, au Brésil, se tiendra l'annuelle COP, la trentième, où une cinquantaine de chefs d'États et de gouvernements sont attendus. Selon l'ONU, si les pays appliquent intégralement les feuilles de route qu'ils se sont fixées, le réchauffement global pourrait atteindre 2,3 °C voire 2,5 °C. Il y a dix ans, les Accords de Paris avaient pour objectif de maintenir l'augmentation de la température de la planète en dessous de 2 °C. Hindenburg écrit à l'empereur Guillaume II : « J'annonce à votre Majesté que depuis hier, les Russes sont tous soumis et que l'étau s'est refermé autour de la plus grande partie de l'armée russe : le XIIIe, le XVe et le XVIIIe Corps d'armée sont détruits. Les pièces d'artillerie sont rassemblées dans les forêts. Le butin de guerre n'a pas encore été comptabilisé mais il est extraordinairement important. La statue mesure douze mètres de haut et pèse vingt-six tonnes. Hindenburg devient un mythe. En avril 1925, Le maréchal accède aux plus hautes marches du pouvoir en remportant l'élection à la présidence du Reich. Il est réélu en 1932. En janvier 1933, il confie le rôle de chancelier à Adolf Hitler.
