Nach WICKED ist nun auch WICKED: FOR GOOD (oder eben TEIL 2) im Kino gelandet und verspricht genauso hart (oder eben erfolgreich) einzuschlagen wie sein Vorgänger. Das will natürlich besprochen werden. Zumindest von Bea und Schlogger, von Schröck eher weniger, aber weil er sich nun beide Teile kurz hintereinander reingezogen und generell eine spezielle Meinung zu Musicals hat, gehts so richtig rein ins Reich von Oz, um über Hexen, Zauberer, Scharlatane, Manipulatoren oder geflügelte Affen zu reden. Und natürlich auch über das Phänomen WICKED, über die Verbindungen oder Unterschiede zu DER ZAUBERER VON OZ, über die Optik und Technik, über den Gesang, die besten wie auch die fürchterlichsten Momente, über Ariana Grande oder Cynthia Erivo, über Daniels Lieblingsszene, über G.I. JOE - DIE ABRECHNUNG, auch über ein paar SPOILER oder warum es irgendjemand für eine gute Idee, Michelle Yeoh singen zu lassen. Dabei wird es dann auch allgemeiner um Musicals gehen, wenn Schröck unter anderem von LES MISÉRABLES, CRY BABY oder DER KLEINE HORRORLADEN (LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS) schwärmt oder Bea und Schlogger über das berichten, was sie zuletzt gesehen haben. Nämlich EIN AMERIKANER IN PARIS und WEST SIDE STORY (das Original, wobei das Remake auch noch mal zu Wort kommt). Und Simsalabim: schon sind wieder fast 90 Minuten vorbei, bei denen wir Euch nun eine zauberhafte Zeit und viel Spaß wünschen. Vielleicht wird ja am Ende auch noch gesungen. The Labor Department reported September jobs numbers on Thursday, showing employers added 119,000 jobs to the economy but also an increase in unemployment to 4.4 percent. “The September report shows fairly good job growth, but every other report we have for October shows a slowdown,” says Robert Reich, the former secretary of labor under President Bill Clinton.“Real wages — that is, wages adjusted for inflation — are going down for most people. The bottom 90 percent of Americans are in very bad shape,” says Reich. This week on The Intercept Briefing, host Akela Lacy speaks to the professor, author, and longtime commentator about the economy and the state of Democratic Party politics under Trump. “The only people who are doing well, who are keeping the economy going through their purchases, are the top 10 percent, and they're basically doing well because they're the ones who own most of the shares of stock,” says Reich. “What happens when and if the stock market implodes?”Reich has been beating the drum on poverty and inequality for decades. And while that message took some time to hit the mainstream, it seems to be hitting home now more than ever, but Democratic leadership continues to fall flat in conveying they understand the urgency of the economic hardships ordinary Americans face.The answer, Reich says, is new leadership. He is disappointed in Democrats who caved to Trump on the government shutdown. “It's another example of the Democrats not having enough backbone,” Reich says. “I think Chuck Schumer has to go. And Jeffries too.” He adds, “I'm 79 years old. I have standing to speak about the fact that there is a time to move on. Entre las filas de las temibles SS Totenkopfverbände, la división más despiadada y encargada de los campos de exterminio, se encontraban guardias femeninas cuyo destino estaba sellado por su lealtad ciega al Reich y su devoción por Adolf Hitler. El 13 de diciembre de 1945, en la prisión de Hamelín, Irma Grese enfrentó su destino final. En un frío amanecer, fue conducida al patíbulo, escoltada por soldados aliados. A pesar de su juventud, su rostro no mostraba arrepentimiento. Vestida con un sencillo uniforme de prisión, subió los escalones de la horca con una calma que heló la sangre de los presentes. El verdugo ajustó la soga alrededor de su cuello mientras un silencio sepulcral envolvía la sala. Tras la liberación de Stutthof, muchas de las guardias intentaron escapar, conscientes de que sus crímenes no quedarían impunes. Entre las acusadas se encontraba Jenny-Wanda Barkmann, apodada "la bella bestia", conocida por su sadismo y crueldad, quien fue condenada a muerte junto a varias de sus compañeras. Cuando los Aliados liberaron los campos de concentración, capturaron a muchas de las guardias femeninas de las SS en los mismos lugares donde operaban. Muchos miembros de las SS fueron ejecutados por los soviéticos al liberar los campos, mientras que otros fueron enviados a gulags. Solo unas pocas guardias femeninas enfrentaron juicios, principalmente en procesos como los de Auschwitz, Ravensbrück, Stutthof y Majdanek. El brutal final que muchas guardias femeninas de las SS enfrentaron bajo control soviético se ejemplificó en Stutthof. Stutthof fue el primer campo de concentración construido fuera de Alemania, situado cerca del pueblo de Stutthof, ahora Sztutowo, en la Polonia ocupada. Las raciones de comida eran mínimas, consistiendo principalmente en sopa aguada y pan duro, lo que llevaba a una malnutrición generalizada y hambruna. Muchos prisioneros sufrían enfermedades debilitantes, como el tifus, que azotó el campo durante los inviernos de mil novecientos cuarenta y dos y mil novecientos cuarenta y cuatro, exacerbadas por la falta de atención médica y las condiciones insalubres.

Die Sehnsucht nach dem Ende und Vernichtung hat es scheinbar immer schon gegeben, wenn selbsternannte Propheten die Apokalypse verkündeten. "Lauft ihnen nicht nach!", ruft Jesus uns zu. [Evangelium: Lukas, Kapitel 21, Verse 5 bis 19] In jener Zeit, als einige darüber sprachen, dass der Tempel mit schön bearbeiteten Steinen und Weihegeschenken geschmückt sei, sagte Jesus: Es werden Tage kommen, an denen von allem, was ihr hier seht, kein Stein auf dem andern bleibt, der nicht niedergerissen wird. Sie fragten ihn: Meister, wann wird das geschehen und was ist das Zeichen, dass dies geschehen soll? Er antwortete: Gebt Acht, dass man euch nicht irreführt! Denn viele werden unter meinem Namen auftreten und sagen: Ich bin es! und: Die Zeit ist da. – Lauft ihnen nicht nach! Wenn ihr von Kriegen und Unruhen hört, lasst euch nicht erschrecken! Denn das muss als Erstes geschehen; aber das Ende kommt noch nicht sofort. Dann sagte er zu ihnen: Volk wird sich gegen Volk und Reich gegen Reich erheben. Es wird gewaltige Erdbeben und an vielen Orten Seuchen und Hungersnöte geben; schreckliche Dinge werden geschehen und am Himmel wird man gewaltige Zeichen sehen. Aber bevor das alles geschieht, wird man Hand an euch legen und euch verfolgen. Man wird euch den Synagogen und den Gefängnissen ausliefern, vor Könige und Statthalter bringen um meines Namens willen. Dann werdet ihr Zeugnis ablegen können. Nehmt euch also zu Herzen, nicht schon im Voraus für eure Verteidigung zu sorgen; denn ich werde euch die Worte und die Weisheit eingeben, sodass alle eure Gegner nicht dagegen ankommen und nichts dagegen sagen können. Sogar eure Eltern und Geschwister, eure Verwandten und Freunde werden euch ausliefern und manche von euch wird man töten. Und ihr werdet um meines Namens willen von allen gehasst werden. Und doch wird euch kein Haar gekrümmt werden. Wenn ihr standhaft bleibt, werdet ihr das Leben gewinnen. Zunächst blicken wir auf die jahrhundertealte Geschichte dieser Region, die sich auch geografisch verändert hat. Davon erzählt uns Maurits im Museum Huis van Hilde in Castricum im Herz von Nord-Holland. Er erinnert auch daran, dass die Insel Texel einst Teil des Festlandes war. Auf diesem Eiland in der Nordsee steigen wir mit Skip Bronkhorst vom Texel International Airport gedanklich zu einem Rundflug auf. Wir besuchen das Strandgutmuseum und erleben Woolness auf Texel, nämlich das Einkuscheln in Schafswolle. Weiter südlich am Festlands-Strand von Zandvoort begleiten wir Diana Kruft vom Projekt Jutters Geluk beim Müllsammeln. Später geht es direkt aufs Wasser. Zunächst schippern wir mit Kees in der Nähe von Alkmaar auf den Kanälen im einstigen "Reich der Tausend Inseln" und stehen bei Arendeo van Hulsbergen als Kapitän auf einem der Boote von Luxe Sloepen Haarlem am Steuer, wenn er uns durch die Grachten dieser historischen Stadt fährt. An den Grachten entlang führt uns Klaas Huizinga durch das historische Delft. Und die charmante Fleur macht uns schließlich Lust auf Amsterdam. Viel Spaß in Hollland!

À la Libération, les nazis fuient avec ces enfants. Certains seront adoptés, d'autres envoyés dans des orphelinats ou perdus à jamais.
