Some people go through the right religious motions, but there is no Joy or light within them. When serving God, we need to be excited! Everyone in the body of Christ is a minister of the gospel. This means we all have the duty of benign the joy of Christ to the world. So our motivation must be GOD. God wants a heart that has repented from the sin of chasing our own glory. He wants us to show respect for those in authority. Because when we honor earthly authority, we are honoring God. And finally, don’t put on an act to get people to view us highly. Matthew 6:1 God not only cares about what you do but why you do it. Once we put our faith in Jesus he will teach us how to live a pleasing life to God. But it is crucial that our motives be right if we want to love God well. The bible says "Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them". In other words, if you seek acknowledgment and recognition whenever you do good works, your motives are not in the right place. Be in-tune and sensitive to your inner motivations. Be careful not to fall into the trap of doing things for self-recognition. If you're honest with yourself you will be aware when you are doing something for selfish reasons. And to have good motives we must have a pure heart and make the choice to be selfless. We are in control, we just need to take control!

It takes courage to be transparent and truthful about where you are in life. The enemy is subtly creeping through your thoughts, trying to attack our mind. It is important now more than ever to not only seek counseling but to seek Jesus. Because some invisible chains require the power of God to break! Deuteronomy 6:3-9 Over the years there has been a decline in the family. The enemy has made it a point to attack and destroy families. However, God wants to build strong families with Godly family values for the kingdom. But what are family values that can build strong families? Our goal must not be to conform to what the world says are family values but the biblical principles that God wants us to use to build our family. 1st Corinthians 13:1-8 The God type of love is unconditional, but sometimes as believers, we are not good representatives of Gods love. We have to learn how to grow spiritually. And a part of that growth process is removing whatever is keeping us from allowing Gods light to shine through us. So what isn't love? Love is not envious or hateful. We must be selfless and not selfish. Love is not proud. Pride cannot coexist with Godly love. Love does not boast. Love is focused on the loved one and not one's self. Love is not rude. We are representing we must behave as such and have good manners Love is not self-seeking. You don't have to have everything your way. Love is not easily angered. Love respects one another. Loves keep no record. What love is? Love is the birthmark of the believer, without the birthmark of love, people don't know who you really are. As believers, we have to show who God is in our lives through love. Often times we forget where God has brought us from and we begin to judge and condemn others. This is why many people do not like going to church. As the body of Christ, we must continually practice walking in love. So what is love? Love is patient and love is kind. So when you practice love, start by practicing patience. Then look for ways to contribute and be kind to others. We must begin to show the love that God wants us to show every day! Love can be a really difficult pill to swallow. Often we want to feel justified in our feeling of hatred towards someone else. When we are in our flesh it is easy to want or seek revenge. But God calls us to not only love our enemy but to pray for them. It is important to remember that God has mercy on us even though we don't deserve it. Jesus paid the penalty for our sins with his life, so we don't have to pay with our lives. In order for me to obtain mercy, you must first show mercy. This means even if someone hurts you, you must show compassion for them. When you think of all the things you have done and how God showed mercy and love for you, you will be lead to show the same compassion for others as God has shown for you. 1st Chronicles 4:10 The enemy targets you more when the hand of God is on you. He targets you because he wants to make sure the covenant is broken with God. Satan wants you to lose connection with God so he can lead you to sin. And in this Satan wants to hurt you and make you feel pain. All sin causes pain not only to ourselves but to the people around us. This pain runs deep and can cause generational curses that affect your children. You have the responsibility to break down your strongholds, cut illegal soul ties, remove the residue of the sin, and allow God to take residents on our lives. However, God is not moved by the constant pursuit for the answers. And this bothers us because we don't allow ourselves to yield to his spirt. Personal change begins when you cry out to God for what he wants for you. With your hands open and an expecting heart. Call out to the Lord and press on him to blow your mind. From here, God will begin to show you his blessing. Being blessed means you have everything you need from the kingdom. So why do we feel the need to go outside the kingdom to find joy? God wants us to forget about the worldly things and focus on him.
