So when Washington first won the right to host one of the world's biggest gay festivals, it was only natural that Booz Allen signed on to underwrite the event known as WorldPride 2025. But that was before the election. This week, with WorldPride projected to draw three million visitors in just a few months, Booz Allen abruptly withdrew as a sponsor — apparently worried that merely supporting a global gay festival would put it on the wrong side of its dominant customer: President Donald Trump's federal government. “They have a lot of federal contracts,” said Ryan Bos, the organizer of WorldPride, who explained that Booz Allen had indicated that sponsoring WorldPride could put it out of compliance with Trump's executive order forbidding diversity, equity and inclusion rules in federal contracting. “They made the decision that to protect their business, they did not want to risk the backlash.” https://odysee.com/@LukeFordLive, https://lbry.tv/@LukeFord, https://rumble.com/lukeford https://dlive.tv/lukefordlivestreams Superchat: https://entropystream.live/app/lukefordlive Bitchute: https://www.bitchute.com/channel/lukeford/ Soundcloud MP3s: https://soundcloud.com/luke-ford-666431593 Code of Conduct: https://lukeford.net/blog/?p=125692 https://www.patreon.com/lukeford http://lukeford.net Email me: lukeisback@gmail.com or DM me on Twitter.com/lukeford, Best videos: https://lukeford.net/blog/?p=143746 Support the show | https://www.streamlabs.com/lukeford, https://patreon.com/lukeford, https://PayPal.Me/lukeisback Facebook: http://facebook.com/lukecford Feel free to clip my videos.  Are you your own biggest enemy? We sabotage ourselves because we don't want to change our identity! What is our identity? We regulate the external circumstances to align with our identity. This means regardless of how many chances we get to become rich, we reject that with our Identity… For instance, because we are not rich, and we don't want to change our identity to become wealthy. The same goes on with our relationships, happiness, finances, success, physical body…Our identity is compared to the thermostat setting from an AC.For instance, If our success increases heavenly we adjust it to be lower and then blemish the circumstances for it.What is unfamiliar to us threatens us… and so we cool down our success. We chose our friends to have the same thermostat setting as us … and so we can't grow. When I studied, I saw my friends were not successful and funny. Then I wanted to be successful, and automatically I changed them to successful students. We need friends that have already done what we want to get the same if we do the same… Because such friends are motivating… Proximity is influence.Faith, association, Intention…  to get what you want.We need that faith and drive forward with intention, and our associations support us.What is familiar is easy… We move toward what is familiar and don't like to do what is not under control. Maybe you self-sabotage yourself because you can forecast your future, everything looks to be under your control. We don't like to go towards the unfamiliar.7 symptoms of self-sabotage1. If you look back towards your past a lot, instead of focusing forward on the future, you repeat your past… Stop focusing on the past -Then you get more of what you don't want.2. If You focus on what you don't have so you get more of that… people who focus on the lack of things, they get exactly that. If you focus not getting enough love in your relationship instead of focusing on giving more love, then you getting lesser and lesser love. 3.  Don't compare yourself to other people, their social media presents, or the mask that they wear … All is a lie… They show only what is positive in their life, all the sorrow, and suffering they skip. Imagine a family is deep in stress, with yelling, shouting, crying, and then a friend comes I want to take a photo from you… In a moment the entire scene changes and they play the happy lovely family. Actually, it works!Comparison is the thief of joy.Don't compare your life to another time in your life/ relationship … That is not fair.   You will sabotage your success, happiness,  your relationship,4. Don't focus on what you can't control instead focus on the things that you can control...Most of the things/circumstances/people we can't control so we focus on our actions and what we can do.The media is constantly feeding us what we can't control, so we become helpless, frustrated…Don't try to control what you can't control, maybe you can influence it that is all. Otherwise, you sabotage your life5. Don't Discourage yourself otherwise you sabotage your life… When other people discourage you, that is their opinion… Say, thank you for sharing your opinion…Discourage means a lack of courage.Feel your fear and do it regardless of and move forward.6. Don't get distracted by social media, media, what other people are doing, by habits that they don't have… make a list of what distracts you and illuminate them or reduce them.7. When you stop or reduce doing what gave you the success, the relationship, the happiness… instead of more of that You stop your progress… You sabotage yourself. What are the people you are around?Look at the last 90 days of your friends when you have been together with them…Look at the conversations with them…Were the conversations about things that they could not control, about news in the world or did they support you, motivate you, lovely… did they distract you?Did they talk a lot about the past or did they support you for the future? They should focus on the present. So you are not happy where you are and still should accept yourself.I want my friends not happy with where I am right now but they should have expectations of where I am going…I want friends who could see me where I could be and they should support my goals.  You have everything right now that you need and you belong to your dreams…If you stop sabotaging yourself, your body, emotions you gone be there…My Video: 7 SYMPTOMS of SELF-SABOTAGE  https://youtu.be/CGY1y8cuHsYMy Audio: https://divinesuccess.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/Podcast4/7-SYMPTOMS-of-SELF-SABOTAGE.mp3

In this study we will take a look at the miracles that Yahweh performed on the Egyptians, when Israel was held in bondage, during this period in Exodus. We will see that those miracles were against the Egyptian deities or gods that they worshipped. The story of Moses is not just the story of the freedom of a group of slaves from Egypt in the second millennium BCE. It is the blueprint of the Plan of Salvation of the world as seen from the structure laid down in the Bible.Let's continue our study in Exodus Chapter 4 Verses 6-23. Verses 1-9 Moses third difficulty: the Israelites may not believe his message from freedom (Divine Assurance)Verses 2-5 the first signVerses 6-8 the second signVerses 11-12 Divine AssuranceVerses 14-17 Divine Power and Provision6    Moses' ability to produce and to heal, that most malignant disease would be to them an even more convincing proof of his Divine commission. As white as snow = leprosy was common in Egypt. In its worst form, the whole skin becomes glossy white, dry and ulcerousKeep in mind this action by Yahweh was to show that He was more powerful than their gods of healing, Bes, Hathor, Sekhmet, and Isis.Bes Dwarf god who guarded against evil spirits and misfortune. Unlike the other Egyptian deities, who were usually depicted in profile, Bes was depicted full face. He was ugly and grotesque in appearance, with a large head, a protruding tongue, bowlegs and a bushy tail.9   the third signand pour it upon the dry land, and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land = by which it would appear how easily Yahweh could destroy the land of Egypt, and make it a barren land, whose fertility was owing to the overflow of the river Nile as a means; Keep in mind this action by Yahweh was to show that He was more powerful then their gods of the rivers, Anuket, Hapi and possibly Sobek.10    not eloquent = not a man of words.Slow of speech = heavy of speech and heavy of tongue. He may have had an actual impediment in his speech. 12    I will be with thy mouth = The Chaldee translates, My Word, meimeri, shall be with thy mouth.  I will be = “ehyeh” remember those words in 3:14,15?13    i.e. by anyone but myself. Discourage by the failure of his first blow for freedom in his youth, he is unwilling to undertake the mission.15    put words in his mouth = This is a definition of Divine inspirationPut words = “śûm  śı̂ym” “soom, seem” S = Samech = (thorn) grab, hate, protectY=Yod = (arm and closed hand) work, throw, worshipM = Mem = (water) chaos, blood, mightyA = Aleph = (ox) strength, strong, power, leaderT = Tav = (cross) sign, covenant seal, mark and crossEven though Moses may do the speaking we definitely see that Elohim is the one that is guiding the words to be spoken. These words that shall be spoken will hate towards the Egyptians, but protecting the Hebrews. We know that the miracles perform by Moses will be done by his outstretched arms. And through these words there will be chaos, blood (Passover) and the mighty strength of Elohim doing the leading.I will be = “ehyeh” remember those words in 3:14,15?You = “et” “Aleph-Tav”. This word is very interesting. If you take note that ‘you' is italicized. We see in the Hebrew manuscripts the Hebrew “et”. Remember what I said about “et” being the beginning and ending of the Hebrew Alphabet? Remember what John wrote in Revelation 1:8, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”?Have any questions? In this episode of All Else Equal: Making Better Decisions, hosts and finance professors Jonathan Berk and Jules van Binsbergen build the case for short selling as a dynamic regulating force in the free market. And an incentive for individuals to investigate and expose fraud.Later in the episode, Jonathan and Jules speak with Marc Cohodes, whose notable short-selling decisions have landed him in hot water with powerful figures all over the world. Cohodes has exposed a series of fraudulent practices – from mortgage lender Novastar to digital finance giant Wirecard, and most recently the cryptocurrency exchange FDX – and shares his view on the role of short sellers to step in where government regulation fails.Submit your questions to the show here: https://bit.ly/AllElseEqualFind All Else Equal on the web: https://www.gsb.stanford.edu/business-podcasts/all-else-equal-making-better-decisionsAll Else Equal: Making Better Decisions Podcast is a production of Stanford Graduate School of Business and is produced by University FM.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Connect with me here! Send me a text message! Ok I know what you are thinking….ive been out of routine so I haven't been faithful in my Jesus time recently. I've been out of routine with my kiddos home from school and vacations and what not. I haven't made the time to spend with God and now I'm a loser and feel super bad that I lost that time.  First just stop and listen to the lies you are telling yourself. Don't give in. Today is a new day and you can start fresh with God!! Woot! Brings me to this thought. There is a BIG difference conviction from the Holy Spirit and feeling shame or guilt. How do we know the difference you ask? Well we know the difference when we know Jesus well. And we know Him well by spending time with Him. BUT a good indicator is what are you feeling? Do you feel shame or guilt for not being as on task these past few months? Or do you feel like you desire for more of it and feel promptings to get back into it? Hear and see the difference here? Once makes you feel bad…the other is a calling for closeness. God doesn't shame us into spending time with Him. He draws us close so that we WANT to spend time with Him cause He knows we NEED Him! So…If you are feeling shamed because you have sort of fallen off the wagon with your Jesus time. Remember those feelings are from Jesus! Take those thoughts captive and bring them to Him.  - What's done is done and you can't go back to change it! Bring your regret to God, receive His beautiful grace and move forward with more gusto and purpose! And if you aren't feeling shame then great! BUT you probably are feeling a prompting to get back into routine right? Cause i'm guessing you aren't feeling yourself. You are more snippy or short with your family. Maybe you have sort of isolated yourself from peopling because of your attitude lol  Maybe you have felt more low or lacking purpose. If any or more of those things are happening then it's time to get back your Jesus time friend!Lastly, If you dont even have a desire, or you aren't feeling a prompting, because it's been so long…eeek. Some of this might be the lazy summer but some might be comfortability. And being too comfortable can be super dangerous so… DO IT ANYWAY. Get yourself into a routine so that when your kiddos school starts or you are back from your vacay and getting back to work or whatever, you will be ready to go!! Listen to episode 164 and 141 to help with some ideas on getting into a routine!Episode 141- https://www.buzzsprout.com/1769546/12212975Episode 164- https://www.buzzsprout.com/1769546/12820110Be encouraged, challenged and blessed today!!✨Come hang with me on IG- https://www.instagram.com/mrsangelapitnikoff/✨Want some fun free resources? Blended - Navigating The Blended Family Experience

Parents have an incredible amount of power! We get to lead and shape the lives of the the next generation. No pressure! Unfortunately, we don't always do this perfectly. In fact, many mistakes are made along the way. One of the consequences of our misteps is discouragement. This experience exists well beyond the moment that the seed of discouragement is sown, and the effects can be severe. As parents we have to commit to learning from our mistakes and using our authority to encourage and build up our children. Their time under our care is limited!

Send us a Text Message. It's amazing what you can find when curiosity is your guide.I was on a reporting trip in Taplejung district in northeast Nepal, bordering Tibet and India. I had an extra day so I thought I'd look for a school that provides meals to its students. It's a topic I've been following for the past couple of years. I asked a guy I met at the hotel if he knew of a school principal in town— it turned out that he was the head of the committee of a local school. He took me to see the noon meal being served, then gave me a tour of the entire school area. I was shocked to see a new building that might have been imported from Europe. With a light-coloured exterior of sharp angles, inside it featured huge windows, tall ceilings, a super wide, wooden staircase, and — perhaps most pleasantly surprising to me — a coffee bar. The astonishing looking building in Taplejung, on the grounds of Bhanu Jana Secondary School, is the IT Academy. It's been running for the past couple of years and includes a studio, where we recorded this episode, with Head Teacher Kishor Kumar Rai. The main aim of the Academy is to train recent graduates with online skills so that they can work from Taplejung instead of joining the tens of thousands of young people migrating from Nepal every month. The IT Academy was built with support from the Human Practice Foundation, a non-profit from Denmark,So far the Academy has graduated 61 young people. 14 of them are employed online as digital creators for companies in places including Denmark, Singapore and South Korea. Those are small numbers, I know, but you have to start somewhere and it does seem that the management team has a growth plan. By the way, the donor that Kishor Rai mentions is Mr Waldemar Schmidt. Welcome to The Nonlinear Library, where we use Text-to-Speech software to convert the best writing from the Rationalist and EA communities into audio. This is: Fat Tails Discourage Compromise, published by niplav on June 17, 2024 on LessWrong. Say that we have a set of options, such as (for example) wild animal welfare interventions. Say also that you have two axes along which you can score those interventions: popularity (how much people will like your intervention) and effectiveness (how much the intervention actually helps wild animals). Assume that we (for some reason) can't convert between and compare those two properties. Should you then pick an intervention that is a compromise on the two axes - that is, it scores decently well on both - or should you max out on a particular axis? One thing you might consider is the distribution of options along those two axes: the distribution of interventions can be normal on for both popularity and effectiveness, or the underlying distribution could be lognormal for both axes, or they could be mixed (e.g. normal for popularity, and lognormal for effectiveness). Intuitively, the distributions seem like they affect the kinds of tradeoffs we can make, how could we possibly figure out how? … … … It turns out that if both properties are normally distributed, one gets a fairly large Pareto frontier, with a convex set of options, while if the two properties are lognormally distributed, one gets a concave set of options. (Code here.) So if we believe that the interventions are normally distributed around popularity and effectiveness, we would be justified in opting for an intervention that gets us the best of both worlds, such as sterilising stray dogs or finding less painful rodenticides. If we, however, believe that popularity and effectiveness are lognormally distributed, we instead want to go in hard on only one of those, such as buying brazilian beef that leads to Amazonian rainforest being destroyed, or writing a book of poetic short stories that detail the harsh life of wild animals. What if popularity of interventions is normally distributed, but effectiveness is lognormally distributed? In that case you get a pretty large Pareto frontier which almost looks linear to me, and it's not clear anymore that one can't get a good trade-off between the two options. So if you believe that heavy tails dominate with the things you care about, on multiple dimensions, you might consider taking a barbell strategy and taking one or multiple options that each max out on a particular axis. If you have thin tails, however, taking a concave disposition towards your available options can give you most of the value you want. Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me...this is one of the biggest lies we are ever told as a child because words DO hurt! In fact, they can hurt for a very long time! The tongue is such a small part of our body but it sure is powerful! Once words come out of our mouth, they can't go back in! James compares our tongue with a fire and how powerful that fire is, how it can set a whole forest on fire! He says we curse people with the same mouth we bless the Lord with, and this shouldn't be so! And what is really bad is...James is writing to those who follow Jesus and are filled with the Holy Spirit! Do our words tear down or build up? Do they speak life or death?
