Be warned! Clairvoyant, medium and psychic Clinton Baptiste, best known from C4's "Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights" takes you on a spiritual journey beyond the Celestial Curtain....Join him and his special guests from the world of the occult, the supernatural, and general ghostly areas.Seances, exorcisms…
The Clinton Baptiste's Paranormal Podcast is an absolute gem of a podcast that will have you laughing from start to finish. The dynamic between Clinton and his assistant Linda is brilliant, as they bounce off each other and create hilarious moments throughout each episode. The addition of Linda Pollock has taken the world of Clinton Baptiste to another level, adding a new dimension to the comedy. This podcast has been my go-to during lockdown and it continues to provide me with much-needed laughter.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is the sheer comedic talent displayed by the cast. Alex Lowe, who portrays Clinton Baptiste, is extremely underrated and brings such wit and humor to the character. The wider cast also deserves recognition for their excellent performances. The banter and squabbles between Clinton and Ramone are particularly entertaining, leaving listeners eagerly awaiting their live shows.
Another great aspect of this podcast is its ability to consistently deliver genuine laugh-out-loud moments. Every single episode contains a moment that has me in stitches, making it a must-listen for anyone in need of some light relief. I especially love how Clinton reviews stories with his co-host Linda, as their conversations never fail to crack me up.
As for drawbacks, there really aren't many when it comes to The Clinton Baptiste's Paranormal Podcast. Some listeners may argue that the humor can be too silly or over-the-top at times, but that's part of what makes it so enjoyable. It's a comedy podcast after all, and its ability to make people laugh should be celebrated.
In conclusion, The Clinton Baptiste's Paranormal Podcast is easily one of the best comedy podcasts out there. Its comedic talent, hilarious moments, and entertaining characters make it a joy to listen to from start to finish. Whether you're a long-time fan of Clinton Baptiste or just discovering him now, this podcast is worth every minute of your time. Give it a try and prepare to have a good laugh.
It's episode 20, can you believe it? We kick off with Linda in full judgemental flow, commenting on the fashion crimes of warm-weather Britain. Then she shares her trials with flat-pack furniture from Temu (no Allen key? No chance!).Meanwhile, I've been taking back some shelving to IKEA, which naturally ends in rage and self-reflection.We then feature a ghost story from Crispin Robinson (if you were a Patreon you'd be able to see a photo of this), followed by a spooky email from Pip Lee about a haunted prison—leading to a chat about whether I should do a live show in a jail. (Yes please, I'd fit right in.) www.patron.com/clintonbaptisteWe're treated to a clip from a gig in Blyth, North East, featuring comedian Martin Neal
Linda's got a juicy update on the brothel-slash-restaurant saga
Linda kicks things off with talk of the Netflix film Nonnas, a heart-warming tale about older Italian women cooking their secret family recipes in a trendy New York eatery. Clinton, meanwhile, dreams of a Gregg's steak bake.
EPISODE 17 – OUT NOW!This week, Linda's been spiralling over stylish Europeans on TikTok (how do they know all this stuff?!). Meanwhile, we've been inundated with emails — keep ‘em coming! We hear from:Phil Rawden on dressing well in your fiftiesAndy Mayo with a tale of a “worldy” pulled in SunderlandThe return of Goth Pire (yes, him), with a terrifying tale from the London UndergroundDawn Warren and her haunted house horrorDoug Driver on a paranormal Christmas tree catastropheA Fate and Fortune story called The Lost BoysLinda gets into full Agony Aunt mode for some problem solvingAnd Barry from Watford speaks to the one and only Tim Vine in his penultimate Buckle Up With Barry episode
Episode 16: Haunted Helpers & the Grumpy Van Man SurveyWelcome, my spiritual sweethearts!
Welcome back, my loves – another week, another batch of spirits, stories, and deeply questionable fashion choices. We kick off with Linda talking about her clothes (as usual), and I admit that my everyday wardrobe is a far cry from my stagewear. Let's just say the spiritual energy doesn't extend to my laundry basket. Then we're back to Betty Boo again. I think Linda's angling to become her tour psychic.Spooky tales roll in fast this week:
Linda's had a promotion! Yes, she's now in charge of… stationery. Or something. She's really climbing the ranks of spiritual admin — big time now. Then we hear from Heath McStay, who drops us a message from the beyond (well, the inbox), before heading into the hills of Wales for a recording with Dave Granville — topped off with a spooky little addendum you'll want to hear. From there, it's time for some Bitesize Shivers – first, about a therapist, and then about dreams that predict the future. Eerie stuff, and just vague enough to apply to everyone. We chat about therapy in general. Have you ever had any? I tried once… but the spirits kept interrupting. Then we dive into the unsettling sensation of bad vibes — you know when you walk into a room and your soul wants to moonwalk straight back out again? That.Next, we hear from the marvellous Dilly Campbell, who's got a spooky story of her own to share. Then it's back to the oracle: Take a Break Fate & Fortune gives us a proper spiritual conundrum to solve. We do our best. (No guarantees.)And for something a bit different — a ghostly tale from none other than Fortean Times, all about Hiroshima. Powerful stuff. We round off, as ever, with Barry from Watford, promoting the latest episode of his talkSPORT podcast Buckle Up with Barry. Spirits willing, he'll stay on topic this time…With thanks to:Kathrine Boyle, Heath McStay, Dave Granville, Dilly Campbell, Barry from WatfordAnd of course, Glowe and Sundown Studios for the play-out music: https://www.instagram.com/sundownstudios__Credits:• Podcast produced by Laurie Peters from Peters-Fox • Share your own spooky stories at clinton@clintonbaptiste.com • Find more Clinton Baptiste merchandise at Ko-fi • TOUR DATES: www.clintonbaptiste.com Hosted on Acast.
