Benefits of Fearing God

In the previous video, we focused on how to fear God based on our personal relationship with Him. In this video, we will focus on how to fear God based on our personal conduct and relationships with other people. In essence, fearing God is a combination of having favor with God and with people.

Fearing God doesn't mean that we need to be afraid of Him. Rather, it is an attitude of obedience out of respect and reverence for God.

In the previous video, we discussed why we should fear God on the basis of His nature. In this video we will discuss why we should fear God based on what He has done for us, and what is expected of us.

Why is it important for Christians today to be God-fearing? After all, God is full of love and grace, so why is fearing God still relevant to us today?

What is the Fear of God? The concept of fearing God may be confusing. Why would God want us to feel this way towards Him? This video, part of the Christian Living Series, explains how this fear enables us to understand and follow God's will. Calvin was used to being surrounded by friends and began going to church because of social reasons. However, during college, he had to face the fact that his friends could not always be there for him. He began to search for God, but always felt that something was still missing. He found that missing piece when he encountered God in the True Jesus Church.

Cathy used to put everything into her high-pressure job. She made her decisions independently and planned out everything she did. When her lifestyle resulted in a painful skin problem, a coworker invited her to church. God led her to know the church He wanted her to be a part of, and her life transformed to one that included God in her decisions and that put God above her career.

The first hymn that Sunny heard when he came to the True Jesus Church was “Into My Heart.” Since opening his heart to Jesus and receiving baptism, the Lord Jesus has been with him every step of the way. Although Sunny is no longer with us today, we learn that he didn’t live a day without blessing and praising the Lord with joy.

The day of Christ’s coming may seem to be a dreadful day. But for believers, it is a day of salvation and joy.

As a child, Michelle struggled with depression, OCD and insomnia. However, this was replaced with joy and peace when she received the Holy Spirit, and she felt that the void in her heart was filled. Though unable to come to church for a period of time, God strengthened her and provided that as an opportunity for her to cherish what was so precious about the True Jesus Church.

The one body of Christ upholds one faith and administers one baptism. Today, the True Jesus Church preaches the one faith and practices the one baptism as the church in the Bible. By being baptized in the True Jesus Church, we are brought into the one body of Christ.

The one body of Christ is established by God. Today, God has established the True Jesus Church as the restoration of the one church in the Bible by pouring out His Holy Spirit as He did on the believers in the Bible.
