How should we live now so that we will have no regrets later? As we look at the life of Jonathan Edwards who modeled living with integrity and eternity in view, grounded in Jesus' words from Matthew 5:37. Relying on Christ rather than self-effort, Edwards sought to be a man of his word, shaping his life, ministry, and perseverance through trial. In a time of spiritual coldness, God used his faithfulness to bring a great awakening, reminding us that when we depend on Christ, He empowers us to live truthfully and use our lives for His glory.
In this episode of DTWOL... Equipped? we will explore how the only true God equips His disciples—not through self-effort or human wisdom, but through His living and active Word and the power of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 1:8) We'll be diving into 2 Timothy 3:16–17, as we see how Scripture teaches, reproves, corrects, and trains His disciples so we may be adequate and equipped for every good work.We examine why God's Word is essential for discipleship, how reproof and correction are expressions of God's love, and how training in righteousness forms faithful disciples over time. This episode reminds us that being “equipped” is not about becoming impressive, but about being prepared—formed by God's Word, guided by His Spirit, and confident in the identity God has already given us in Jesus, amen?God's Word: Acts 1:8; 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Timothy 4:5; Ephesians 2:10; Philippians 2:13Additional Scripture references are woven throughout the Godcast and can be gleaned from the full transcript. In Episode 5 of Your Best Yes, we revisit the story of Esther—not the simplified childhood version, but the complex and costly reality behind her courage. Living as a Jewish woman in Persia, married to an unpredictable king, surrounded by insecure and power-hungry men, Esther had every reason to stay silent. Yet when faced with the annihilation of her people, she chose a courageous yes, shaped by fasting, prayer, and deep trust in God's sovereignty. This message explores how Esther's bravery was rooted in a quiet trust that God was working behind the scenes, even when He seemed absent. As the story unfolds, we see a remarkable reversal: a passive queen becomes a bold strategist, mourning turns to celebration, and destruction gives way to deliverance. Esther's yes reminds us that when we trust God's providence, seek His guidance, and step forward despite fear, He meets us with the courage and wisdom we need. And ultimately, her story points us to the greatest reversal of all, the grace we receive through Jesus.
Have you ever asked God for help and received an answer you didn't want? We often come to God expecting a dramatic fix, a breakthrough moment, or a clear resolution. Instead, sometimes He gives us a simple instruction. In this final message of Your Best Yes, we look at the story of Naaman in 2 Kings 5, a powerful, respected man desperate for healing who almost walked away because God's solution felt too ordinary. Naaman's story reminds us that the best yes is often an ordinary yes. The small step. The unimpressive act of obedience. The humble decision to forgive, confess, serve, or try again. Healing didn't come when Naaman understood the plan. It came when he obeyed it. If you've been resisting a step because it feels too small or too slow, this message is an invitation to trust God with the next faithful thing. Your delay does not cancel His grace, but your obedience opens you to receive it.

Is God only the God of Israel, or is He the God of all people? In Romans 3, the apostle Paul asks a powerful question that reveals the heart of the gospel. While God chose Israel and gave them the law, salvation was never meant to be limited to one nation. Through Jesus Christ, God opened the door of righteousness to both Jew and Gentile. In this episode, we explore how justification comes not through the works of the law but through faith in Christ. Looking at passages from Romans, Galatians, and Acts, we see that God has always had a plan to reach the nations and bring all people into His grace. The same God who called Israel is the same God who justifies everyone who believes.

PonTell, nurse educator and author of 7 Keys to Unlocking Your Radiant Beauty, shares her journey from body shame and people pleasing to seeing her body as God's gift. She explains how control once felt like safety, how disordered patterns quietly formed, and how a decisive moment of surrender shifted her from rule driven living to spirit led stewardship. We explore her seven keys to radiant beauty, aligning thoughts with truth, nourishing with grace, moving with wisdom, reframing comparison, and honouring sexuality as sacred stewardship. This is not about dieting. It is about identity.Victoria also unpacks the science of stress and body awareness. When we live in fight or flight, clarity fades. What does it really mean to be free from sin? Many people misunderstand grace, thinking freedom in Christ means sin no longer matters. But the Apostle Paul teaches the opposite—grace does not remove responsibility; it changes our master. In this episode, we explore Romans 6:14–23 and Romans 7:7, where Paul explains the contrast between slavery to sin and slavery to righteousness. Sin promises freedom but pays wages that lead to death. God, however, offers a gift—eternal life through Jesus Christ. We'll also address the purpose of God's law. Paul asks a powerful question: Is the law sin? His answer helps us understand that the law reveals sin, but Christ delivers us from its power. This episode will help listeners see the difference between earning death through sin and receiving life through grace, and how true freedom in Christ leads to a transformed life.

Do we live with integrity when no one is watching? Are our private thoughts and habits aligned with the holiness Christ commands? Billy Graham, one of the most recognized evangelists in history, sought not only to preach Christ but to live in a way that honored Him. Billy Graham built his life and ministry on integrity. Through daily time in God's Word, reliance on the Holy Spirit, and personal safeguards like the Modesto Manifesto, he guarded his heart and walk from moral failure. Though not perfect, he pursued holiness with sincerity, striving to be the same man in private as in public. His life reminds us that lasting impact flows from a life surrendered to Christ, lived with purity, humility, and devotion.

This week, Terry and Reneé break down one of the most important truths in the Christian life: faith is issued to every believer — but the development of that faith is your responsibility.Terry walks through the progression Jesus taught:No Faith → Little Faith → Average Faith → Great Faith → All Faith → the God-Kind of Faith.Your starting point isn't the problem. What you do with what God gave you is what determines your future.Learn how to grow your faith, strengthen it, protect it, and move it into the realm where God calls it “great.”Featured Resource:The Iron Did Swim• Physical CD: https://shop.terrymize.com/products/copy-of-the-iron-did-swim-cd• Audio Download: https://shop.terrymize.com/products/the-iron-did-swim-audio-downloadMore teaching at: https://terrymize.comShop faith-building resources: https://shop.terrymize.com
What happens when a poet and a theologian decide to write letters to each other about faith? In this episode, I sit down with Christian Wiman and Miroslav Volf to discuss their book Glimmerings and talk about the language we use for God and why it so often falls short, the tension between God's presence and absence, what the Book of Job has to say about suffering, and whether faith can survive, even deepen, without easy answers. It's a conversation about holding paradox, paying attention, and what it looks like to keep believing in the middle of real life.Miroslav Volf is the Henry B. Wright Professor of Theology at Yale Divinity School and the founding director of the Yale Center for Faith & Culture. His books include Exclusion & Embrace: A Theological Exploration of Identity, Otherness, and Reconciliation, winner of the 2002 Grawemeyer Award in Religion. Much of what's taught about “spending time with God” actually makes you feel farther from Him, not closer. Tune in as Kyle draws from early church history and biblical truth to correct one of religion's most subtle lies: that time with God is something you have to schedule.
Start with the heart, not the blueprint. That single idea reframes the way we think about ministry, leadership, and everyday service. We draw a clear line from Exodus 25–40 to our modern rhythms and show why God insists on consecration before construction and holiness before hustle. If you've ever felt pressure to produce results fast, this conversation offers a liberating pattern: finish what God spoke, honor the details, and let His presence do what your effort cannot. We walk through the tabernacle narrative as more than ancient architecture. It becomes a living template for alignment, where willing offerings precede precise instructions and community covenant holds the work together. The theme is consistent: God's kingdom is not chaotic; it is beautifully ordered, and that order protects intimacy rather than stifles it. Along the way, we take a sober look at shortcuts and substitutions—why they promise glory but leave us empty—and we celebrate the quiet victories of those who serve without applause. You'll hear how unity is both miracle and mandate, shaped by truth rather than trend. Reports from global ministry moments, including a surge of hunger and alignment in Brazil, remind us that when people rally around purpose, doors open and momentum builds. We also speak directly to volunteers and leaders carrying “small” assignments: ushers, translators, sound teams, intercessors, teachers. The tabernacle needed every piece, and so does the church. Your portion matters, and when it's joined in covenant, it becomes a place where God's presence rests. If you're ready to trade hurry for holiness and hype for alignment, this episode will steady your hands. Listen, share with a friend who needs encouragement, and leave a review to help others find the conversation. Are we living Christ, not just preaching Him? Robert Chapman, called “the saintliest man” by Charles Spurgeon, lived a quiet yet powerful life marked by humility, love, and a deep commitment to live for Christ. He gave up personal rights, pursued unity without compromise, and served the poor and the lost with Christlike love. His life reminds us that true gospel witness flows not from fame, but from faithfully living Christ before others.

Family relationships are being reexamined across today's culture, as more adult children choose to cut off contact with their parents in the name of “boundaries.” What began as a broader social trend is now affecting Christian and Apostolic families as well.In this episode of Apostolic Life in the 21st Century, Dr. David K. Bernard addresses a challenging and deeply personal question: Does Scripture support an adult Christian cutting ties with Christian parents? With biblical clarity and pastoral sensitivity, Dr. Bernard explores the command to honor father and mother (Exodus 20:12), the role of healthy boundaries, and personal responsibility in strained relationships. Rather than adopting cultural narratives uncritically, this conversation invites believers to evaluate family conflict through the lens of Scripture. This episode was inspired by a recent article from The Federalist highlighting the growing trend of family estrangement.Visit PentecostalPublishing.com to shop Dr. Bernard's full catalog of published works.
