Welcome to Mission Report! Missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are amazing, difficult, and everything in between. With more than 400 missions worldwide, prospective missionaries can face a multitude of different countries, languages, cultures, and situations. Here at Mission Report, we want to help those missionaries be a little bit more ready to face all of that. We will have RMs who served all over the world and in many different capacities sharing about the places they served, the people, the languages, and sharing their personal experiences. Hey Everybody! It's been a while since we had an interview up, I've been pretty busy with school and work and everything in between. But I am hoping this weekend to get a new episode up! This week I am actually going to be talking about my own mission in Russia. My interview with Patrick a few weeks ago got me hyped up for talking about Russia and I want to do some more. Then the week after I have an interview ready with Patrick's sister, Amy, who served a service mission in Salt Lake. So that's coming up. But today I wanted to take just a few minutes and try something new, an idea I have been batting around of just sharing a short mission story. So for a trial run, here is one of my mission stories. Elder Jeffery R. Holland visited the Saratov Stake and gave them an admonition. Just a couple of weeks ago, it came true. Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/tyler-brian-nelson/support

"I just remember the peace that I felt at that moment." Jaxon Burke served in the Detroit Michigan Mission, but a little ways into his mission he came home to work some things out. We talked about his coming home, what he went through while he was home, how he got back out, and how he has used his experience to help others. Jaxon's openness as we talked was inspiring, and I hope as you listen that you can be uplifted and also gain a little bit more compassion, maybe for yourself, or maybe for others. In the end, Jaxon was able to have an amazing mission experience. Jaxon has also offered to speak with anyone who would like to reach out to him to talk.
