Episode 13 - An interview with my therapist Jay Dudley

Welcome to a very wonderful interview with my therapist Jay Dudley. This woman gave me a pathway to changing my life and I’ll be forever grateful. Jay is based in Aylesbury and Waddesdon, providing a range of therapies (yes - there are many therapies available), confidence coaching and NLP. Jay also provides a free 30 minute consultation to assess your needs first before any sessions take place. Jay treated me for emotional trauma/PTSD in childhood and adulthood. She also helped me to forgive my Dad for being absent in my life which has been a huge barrier for me. Since having therapy I’ve been able to process my emotions in a healthier way, forgive myself/others and let go. Most importantly I’ve been able to move forward with my life. I had one of the longest lists of traumas that Jay has ever seen - we had a giggle about this. So if you think that you have too many problems to be solved, think again and get in touch with Jay! All of Jay’s details are below - Jay Dudley Website - http://jaydudleycoaching.com Contact Number - 07544 755986 Email Address - Jaydudley@hotmail.com Contact details and where you can find me: Email - Soraya@SorayaStuart.co.uk Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/sorayastuart/

Contact details and where you can find me: Email - Soraya@SorayaStuart.co.uk Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/sorayastuart/ Books provide a pathway to knowledge and discovery. I’ve always read since I was a child. Mainly Harry Potter type books and fantasy then but now I’m into self help and development. If you would like to become more of an avid reader, I understand it would be great to have some guidance about what to read and what may help you from someone you can relate to... cue me. I chose The Art of Seduction by Robert Greene. Who is also famed for writing 48 Laws of Power and The 33 Strategies of War not The Art of War as I accidentally mentioned, that’s a different book. I chose The Art of Seduction in particular because there have been times where yes I had been burned by a fuckboy - it happens, BUT my mental health took a nose dive when I encountered the narcissistic/sociopathic personality types. This came across like their bible and was able to give me some well needed closure. I hope you enjoy the review and if you read or listen to this book I hope it gives you the peace, closure and armoury for the future if it’s ever needed. If you’re having trouble with your mental health, or suffer with a mental illness do you know what support groups and services are available to you and where they are? As someone who suffers with anxiety daily and has had depression, I had no idea aside from my doctors where I could go, and who I could talk to. 3 out of 4 people who try to take their life are women. 3 out of 4 people who do take their life are men. 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health disorder. 1 in 6 people in England will experience a common mental health issue such as anxiety or depression. Run With Purpose are a men’s mental health running group who meet every other week at Alexander Park in London - N22 7AY. Co-Founded by two incredible people Joel Thika and Nii Lartey who is also the Co-Founder of Dose of Society, have created a SAFE space for any and all men to come together and express themselves without fear or judgement whilst looking after their physical fitness too. The run starts at 12.00 and they meet by Alexandra Palace Station at 11.30. Who am I? Soraya Stuart - a mental health vlogger and podcaster. I’ve experienced mental health issues like anxiety on a daily basis and periods of depression. I feel passionate about making a change within our society and burying the stigma of mental health both on and off the internet. I wanted to focus on Ramz in this particular podcast because he’s an artist a lot of you who follow me will know and has been vocal about his mental health. - - After a performance last year Ramz was really badly trolled online. Celebrities are more likely to die by suicide due to intense public scrutiny. If you’re not famous and you’ve struggled with depression, you want to hide from the world. When you’re famous that’s sometimes not an option.

Dating with anxiety... how do you do it? Tips, advice and me reminiscing on times I’d rather forget. Anxiety on a daily basis is bad enough... I have GAD (general anxiety disorder) and it drives me insane. It makes me want to be Tinman from The Wizard of Oz, just not feel for a split second sometimes. Then I remember I’m human and that I quite like the opposite sex...However, when I combine the two - anxiety and men my whole being turns into a badly wired circuit. I literally have struggled to configure myself over the years to have a healthy balance of the two. At the ripe old age of 27 I’ve definitely taken a few “L’s”... that’s me being VERY modest, but the losses have given me learn and have a better relationship with the dating game whilst managing my anxiety. It’s not always easy, I have to give myself a stern talking to but it is very DO-ABLE. Subscribe to my channel!
