Jose Fernandez joined us for a blockbuster episode on Real Talk all about Design. Literally grab your pad and paper and prepare to jot down notes the entire podcast. Jose has been in apparel design and t-shirt design professionally for almost 20 years. His knowledge is breathtaking. Right after this episode was over, both RJ and Matt forwarded the video to their designers. That's how awesome it was. From explaining his origin in design, to exploring how he thinks about marketing designs to customers and how to determine what style of design he would do for different buyers, Jose knocked it out of the park with this episode. Michael Essany is already a legend in the Merch Community. Helpful, Smart, and most of all he knows his stuff! His Merch Momentum group on Facebook is one of the fastest growing Merch groups, and is consistently filled with golden Merch nuggets. We talked tonight about Michael's origins in Print on Demand, his background as a writer both for finance and the entertainment industry, how research impacts everything he does in Merch, and how he scales his business. Some real powerful tips were dropped tonight in the conversation, I think this will be an episode to listen to and take notes.

The godfather of Merch joined us to talk about Merch By Amazon, the future of the platform, and Print on Demand in general. Chris Green is widely acknowledged as one of the most connected people in the Amazon space, and the owner of the Merch Life group on Facebook with over 60,000 members and growing. We talked about the future of Merch, how the platform is evolving, The Merch Dojo his training course on All thing Merch By Amazon and where sellers can find success today. Chris is a wealth of knowledge, and really does have an inside track into what is going on in the Amazon space. His access into the behind the scenes events in Merch, allows his to drop hints about what is really going on with Merch, and for those that pay attention, gain an advantage as a first mover. More than that, this was a really fun conversation. Chris just loves to talk Merch and how passionate he is about the platform.

Christina Romero is the definition of a hustler. She works full time at 2 jobs, has a son and is married. And she still finds time to do great on Merch and other Print on Demand platforms. In this episode we talk about Merch as her side hustle, how she learned to design and found print on demand. We talk about her business strategies and how she finds time in the day to be able to build out her Merch by Amazon business. We also delve into her goals with Merch and other Print on Demand platforms that she sells on. This episode had a great Q&A session, and was very enlightening to see Merch from a different angle.

Quite possibly the funniest and most fun episode of Real Talk yet. Merch By Amazon legends Ken Reil, Glen Zubia and Yong Jae Chong all joined us for an epic roundtable about all things Merch. We started the episode off with Ken Reil talking Merch Dojo and dropping knowledge bombs about Print on Demand, the future of Merch By Amazon, and how early this platform is in it's lifecycle. Glen and Yong joined us about midway through, and the hilarity began. Yong decided to not have his webcam on, so plenty of time was spent making fun of his profile pic. But more importantly besides the fun we had, some amazing golden nuggets were dropped. Both Glen and Ken were on the platform from the very beginning, it was fascinating to listen to their opinions on what makes good design, and how people can improve their merch business.

Anthony Busciglio is one of the most entertaining and knowledgeable Amazon sellers in the Merch space. He and his business partner Kevin run one of the most popular Merch Facebook groups, Merch Empire: Jersey Edition and have owned and operated multiple 7 figure businesses. In this episode we discuss Merch By Amazon, and the amazing opportunity that print on demand is. Anthony's background in FBA and how they run their Merch business. As an FBA seller with a long history on Amazon, Anthony has a unique perspective into how exciting Merch is and how young the platform. We also cover Merchella, the Merch conference that happened in January 2017 and give a brief overview of what was discussed.

Fernando Sustaita is one of the OGs in the Print On Demand space. He's an expert in not only Merch by Amazon, but also all of the other platforms that Print on Demand is possible. In this episode we discuss future changes coming to Merch By Amazon, (Hint Pop Sockets, Phone Cases) We talk about his opportunity to visit Woot (Merch By Amazon's headquarters)with other people in the golden ticket crew. Fernando spills the beans on some different listing strategies, using other Print on Demand services to sell items direct on Amazon that are different from T-Shirts and Hoodies.

CJ Johnson is the definition of a hustler. He started his Merch By Amazon business while attending Oklahoma University and has grown his business exponentially since he has been able to focus on it full time. While most sellers complained of slow sales in February and the huge miss that Valentines was, CJ make over 7K by diversifying his listings and not going after super crowded niches. We talked about his origin in Print on Demand, how you could use Print on Demand and your network to help create sales for University functions, and how CJ wants to turn this into his full time anywhere business.

Neil Lassen one of the founders of Merch Informer joined us to talk Merch By Amazon and how he got his start on the platform. Neil was one of the first people on the platform, and actually used the sale of his Merch Business to fund the start of Merch Informer. Merch Informer is the premiere piece of software for research about Merch by Amazon. With it you can find other shirts that are selling well and identify niches to target with high demand and low competition. Neil not only runs that business, but continues to build out Merch businesses, and is one of the experts in the field on listing optimization and traffic.
