I am very excited to bring you the Halloween special edition of Satire is Not Dead. What I'm going to do today is bring you a real crime story that was a very fascinating case that I grew up witnessing and I'm calling this podcast Real-Life Monster in a Small Town. It was a mass murder that took place in the small town of Lake Arthur Louisiana in 1983. It was really a beautiful old town. One of the things that I really like in this area is as the sun approaches the horizon you can hear the cicadas chirping, clicking and singing in the trees as the sun goes down and then later you can hear the bullfrogs bellowing their announcement of the coming of night and it was a very much desired place to spend leisure time. Well that would all change in the early 80's. You can contact me at satireisnotdead@gmail.com The post Real-Life Monster in a Small Town | SIND #16.1 first appeared on Cinescape Media.
Harvey provides a teaser for his podcast next week that will feature, in the spirit of Halloween, a real-life monster that committed a heinous mass killing in the early eighties in a small neighbouring town to his hometown.
