Most of us spend our lives in conversation – yet very few of us are ever taught how to communicate well. Whether it's with our partners, colleagues, family or friends, we often assume that being heard is the same as being understood. But true communication isn't just about the words we use – it's about the tone, timing and energy behind them. Feel Better Live More Bitesize is my weekly podcast for your mind, body, and heart. Each week I'll be featuring inspirational stories and practical tips from some of my former guests. Today's clip is from episode 571 with trial lawyer, sought after public speaker and author of the book, The Next Conversation: Argue Less, Talk More - Jefferson Fisher Jefferson believes that better communication can transform not only our relationships, but our health and happiness as well. In this clip, he shares the three essential principles to better communication, and how to shift from reaction to reflection by making your first word your breath. Today's clip is from Episode 151 of the podcast, with Jonas ArrudaIn this conversation, Jonas Arruda explains how diffusion models generate data by learning to reverse a noise process. The idea is to start from a simple distribution like Gaussian noise and gradually remove noise until the target distribution emerges. This is done through a forward process that adds noise to clean parameters and a backward process that learns how to undo that corruption. A noise schedule controls how much noise is added or removed at each step, guiding the transformation from pure randomness back to meaningful structure.Get the full discussion here• Join this channel to get access to perks:https://www.patreon.com/c/learnbayesstats• Intro to Bayes Course (first 2 lessons free): https://topmate.io/alex_andorra/503302• Advanced Regression Course (first 2 lessons free): https://topmate.io/alex_andorra/1011122Our theme music is « Good Bayesian », by Baba Brinkman (feat MC Lars and Mega Ran). Fear isn't weakness. It's wiring. Your brain can't tell the difference between a boardroom and a battlefield. A tough conversation can trigger the same survival response as a physical threat.Performance psychologist Dr Scott Goldman explains why so many of our fears are rooted in primal instincts — and why they feel so intense, even when our lives aren't actually at risk. When you understand what your nervous system is really doing, you stop fighting fear… and start working with it.Listen to the full conversation at #147.Learn more about AIQ: https://aiq.team/ Connect with Dr Scott Goldman on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/scottgoldmanphd/ Use Code "PQPODCAST10" to get 10% off your Lumo Coffee order:https://lumocoffee.com/ Interested in sharing your story? My guest on this week's Bitesize episode is Sara Watkins, who joins me to talk about I'm With Her's Grammy winning album 'Wild and Clear and Blue'. It's an album I really love (and a conversation I loved too) and I wanted to put something out to celebrate not only the Grammy win, but also the Grammy they won for the opening track 'Ancient Light'.Sara talks about the process behind writing the record, which began to take shape shortly after the pandemic, why collaboration was so important and the central themes that emerged during the process. We also talk about community and connection in music and how the line between audience and stage is a little thinner in folk music than for some other formats. This comes from a longer conversation we had in 2025. You'll find the full interview with Sara here.Sara also mentions an interview I did with her bandmate Sarah Jarosz, about her album 'Blue Heron Suite'.For more info on I'm With Her, including upcoming tour dates and to buy I'm With Her vinyl, CDs and merch, visit imwithherband.comFor regular updates follow Sara on Instagram and Facebook Support the show===Thanks to Bryan Sutton for his wonderful theme tune to Bluegrass Jam Along (and to Justin Moses for playing the fiddle!) The best coaches don't always give answers. They ask questions that make you think differently about yourself, your game, and the moment you're in.Aussie cricket legend, Michael Bevan, reflects on the coaching lessons he's picked up over decades at the highest level — and why knowing what to ask, when to ask it, can be more powerful than any instruction. It's a reminder that growth often starts with awareness, not advice.NRL star Jake Trbojevic then shares what it's like to be on the receiving end of that approach. He explains how Bevan's questions helped him break out of familiar patterns in training, play with more freedom, and open up more honestly within his team.A short listen on leadership, trust, and why the right question can change everything. You can find Bevo at his Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bevo_michaelbevan/?hl=enYou can find Jake at his Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jaketrbojevic/?hl=en Use Code "PQPODCAST10" to get 10% off your Lumo Coffee order:https://lumocoffee.com/ Interested in sharing your story? Over the past five years, it's been incredible to see how the alcohol-free landscape has changed. Pubs, restaurants and supermarkets boast a range of appealing 0% options. We're seeing a rise in alcohol-free communities, influencers, bars and events. There has been a marked cultural shift towards acceptance of not drinking – and that's in no small part down to today's guest. Today's clip is from episode 438 of the podcast with performance coach and best-selling author, Andy Ramage. Andy is the co-founder of the One Year No Beer movement, and since his first appearance on this podcast back in 2019, countless listeners have written in to share how they've transformed their lives by giving up, or changing their relationship with alcohol. In this clip, Andy shares why he believes that removing alcohol could help you become the most productive, present and healthiest version of yourself. He explains his ‘ambivalence seesaw' – a framework you can use to work out your current relationship with alcohol and start to shift it. And he shares some valuable advice on coping with social pressure to drink. Andy is motivated, passionate and full of positivity, and someone who describes a life without alcohol as a gift to yourself. He's not here to judge anyone else, simply to encourage you to try out the benefits - he has managed to transform his own health, happiness and relationships and wants to inspire you to do the same. It's easy to believe that we have to dedicate lots of time and energy to exercise. That, unless we're pushing ourselves to our limits, it's not worth doing. Today's clip is from episode 325 of the podcast with neuroscientist and Professor of Neural Science and Psychology, Dr Wendy Suzuki. Every morning Wendy starts her day with 30-minutes of exercise. She knows – from personal experience backed by scientific research – that this makes her more focused, happy, motivated, and even creative. She knows it'll help her grow new brain cells and neural pathways, long into old age. And she wants you to reap all these benefits too. In this clip, Wendy shares why you don't need to exercise for hours to gain benefits and how just 10 minutes of exercise can create changes in the brain that go much further than simply boosting our mood. This is a practical and inspiring episode that I'm certain will have you taking action immediately.
