Bloody Combat. Soldiers. Helicopters. No horses, swords or sandals, but a LOT of RPGs and Machine gun fire. This is the epic Black Hawk Down
Hannibal Eats Brain in this film. This is a bloody riot, but still not one of my favorites. Some great performances nonetheless.
One of the all time greatest Sword and Sandal movies that began a fruitful relationship between Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott. I LOVE THIS MOVIE.
Demi Moore at her best. She's sexy; she's aggressive, and she does one handed PUSH UPS. Not sure if this is feminist since it has some very sexual shots that only a man would've put in a movie, but it's still a pretty good action film. Not on the top tier of Ridley films.
Jeff Bridges, Scott Wolf, and a Seafaring Adventure. Much better than the last movie with a courtroom scene tied to it. Ridley Scott loves that water folks.
The longest movie title in Ridley Scott's ouvre so far? Maybe not. But a seaward adventure nonetheless with Christopher Columbus and his journey to the New World.
The Ultimate "Feminist" Movie? I'm not sure, but definitely the ultimate fun Ridley Scott film with female leads. This is a great and fun movie.
MELODRAMA COP MOVIES. GOTTA LOVE THEM!...Or do you? Ridley flew so high...has he dropped low now?
American Cops Go to Japan to fight THE YAKUZA. Does anyone's finger get cut off?
Not his best...That's all I gotta say. Although, I saw the theatrical release. I did not see the directors cut. I heard that is better...but...is it?
Ridley Scott's 3rd film is possibly my favorite of all of his films. The production design, the mood, the music, the performances. Everything is almost perfect. I'm currently reading a book on the history of the production called "Future Noir." Well worth the purchase.
COMEON GUYS! It's ALIEN! To think, this is only Ridley Scott's 2nd film and he is already a master of Sci-Fi.
We start our series with Ridley Scott and his debut film "The Duellists." See if this doesn't suck you in.
