Übermüdet und verspätet, dafür mit ganz vielen Serien im Gepäck, kommt unsere heutige Ausgabe, in der Rüdiger und Holger in die unterschiedlichsten Neu- und Altstarts hineingeschaut haben. Zum Auftakt nehmen sie sich die zweite Staffel des Amazon-Desasters „Citadel“ (5:11) vor, mit dem Prime Video vor drei Jahren eine kapitale Bruchlandung hinlegte. Nun sind Richard Madden und Priyanka Chopra dennoch für ein weiteres Agentenabenteuer zurück, und obwohl die Serie nie gut wird, bemühen sich Holger und Rüdiger, positive Aspekte zu finden. Völlig überrascht wurden sie dagegen von „The Bear“ (26:00), das aus heiterem Himmel mit einer Sonderepisode über Cousin und Mikey daherkam. Ein Timing, das Rüdiger im Hinblick auf die Emmys verdächtig findet – aber ist das Ganze Fine Dining oder eher ein Mikrowellengericht? Einen populären Ableger bildet auch die Animationsserie „Stranger Things: Tales from '85“ (1:17:03), die den Netflix-Hit mit den Originalfiguren, aber ohne die Originalstimmen fortsetzt. Taugt sie dennoch als Methadon für Fans der Serie? Wer dagegen „Schitt's Creek“ vermisst, könnte in „Big Mistakes“ (50:55) von und mit Dan Levy Ersatz finden. Aber erreicht die Familien-Krimikomödie vergleichbare Höhen? Dazu haben wir noch zwei britische Serien in den Mediatheken angeschaut: die Actionserie „Nightsleeper“ (1:10:49), die uns eine Hörerin als besseres „Hijack“ empfohlen hat, und die aktuell bei Magenta sowie ab dem 1.6. in der ARD Mediathek verfügbare Krimiserie „Ridley“ (38:58). Kann „Line of Duty“-Star Adrian Dunbar auch allein für großes Krimivergnügen sorgen? Und schließlich haben wir noch in die Netflix-Sektenserie „Unchosen“ (1:00:47) hineingeschaut, von der sich Rüdiger ein neues „Der einzige Zeuge“ erhofft hat. Zurecht? Cold-Open-Frage: „Was hat uns an den ,Star Wars‘-Streamingzahlen überrascht?“
