They later completed an MA in American Studies at the University of New Mexico. kim is a non-native white person of Irish heritage and aims to create work in revolutionary community to disrupt the dominance of racism and settler-colonialism.     Ana June was born in Prescott, AZ, and grew up in Santa Fe, NM. In 2017, she earned an MFA in creative writing from the University of New Mexico. Her work has appeared in the Hip Mama anthology, "Breeder: Voices from the New Generation of Mothers"; Hip Mama, The Rumpus, The Santa Fe Literary Review, and New Mexico Magazine. She has a short story, "After the Flood," coming out in an anthology entitled "Santa Fe Noir" in 2020 with Akashic Press. Ana is currently at work on a memoir and a novel. Starting in the fall of 2019 she will be an Assistant Professor of English at the University of New Mexico, Valencia Campus.
