When the Israelites sink into disobedience again, they are oppressed by the Midianites. So, God raises up the unlikely hero, Gideon. Judges 6:1-40; 7:1-24. #everydaychristians

Joshua died before all the land God deeded to the Israelites was taken, so the tribes regroup, go in, and take their places. Judah first, then Joseph, Benjamin and others. Joshua calls the tribes together to remind them of their history and to exhort them to obey the Lord, particularly warning them about idolatry, before he dies.
