What's the Bible Say?

Romans explains how faith in Jesus justifies all people and creates a unified, multiethnic family and a path to righteousness. Jesus created a new covenant family. In chapters 1-8, Paul explains the fundamentals and foundations of the Christian faith. This is the Gospel Message, which all believers are commanded to share with the entire world. Some of the most popular and precious memorization passages about Salvation can be found in the first several chapters of Romans, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (6:23). Jesus is the vine and we are the branches. If we remain in Him, we will flourish in Him. Obeying Jesus is loving as He loved us. Jesus accomplished His mission that the Father sent Him on. The Lord's Temple represented, to the Jew of this era, the presence of God. It represented their most holy devotion and visitation. It is here that the offerings of sacrifices of all types were made. Sacrifices for the sins of the people. Thank offerings and praise to God most High. The idea of going to the Temple was the most high act and opportunity for the believer. In our lives these things ought to be reflected. Thanks, praise, and prayers of all types and kinds aught be made to the Lord. Our lives are but a vapor, a wisp on the wind. David and Asaph and other contributors to the book of Psalms exhort all people in all places and times to fear the Lord for the things he has done and for the kindness and righteousness of the Lord. It is a correct response to the character of God to obey the Lord and if you fail to repent and to rejoice in the goodness of God. Life can be difficult and there are battles, poverty, trials and tribulations we all endure. People can be cruel. Our own unbelief and wanderings can really test God's patience. Let all circumstances in life lead you TO God. Age, young or aging can be a reason to ask for God to help. Consider the skies and the creation, the accounts of those who have seen God do wonders. Remember and tune into His grace and help. Praise God for the things he has done. God is our place of safety. There is forever ahead of the believer to dwell with God in heaven. While here on earth, we have many troubles, issues and concerns. It seems at times that we are all alone as if there are no actual allies. We speak for the Lord, we live for the Lord, it is He alone who gives us the strength to endure and overcome the issues of life. Prayer is always appropriate. Hard times, battles, betrayals, regret over sin. There is really no issue exempt from a repentant, contrite heart to cry out to God. The Lord sees all and hears the prayers the believing soul offers. He sees the good you do , or do not do. When you are sick and upset, God sees. Use every type of situation, every feeling to ask for The Lord's help. Distress, pain, age, sufferings of all kinds need not cause distance between the believing soul and The Lord. It may seem that our own mistakes and failings would make a perfect case against praying to God, however, this is the point where we see the psalms pressing in toward God in spite of life's difficulties. Our lives can be summed up in many ways, but outside of the sight of God is not one of them. The wicked and unbelievers think God is a fairy tale, He is not. God watches and sees all. Given the chance we all may doubt our strongest most adamant stances on topics. Faith in God or Belief in God is sometimes up on that chopping block. We have the poor with us in the world always. This has been and is currently a certainty. But what do we do about it? What to think of the condition of the poor? Obvious morality requires us to care, indeed. Caring is great. Caring is good. Action that is actual and active is better. At times we forget. We outsource our self worth to others around us. We even outsource our own esteem to how we handle life or just by how it seems to be going in spite of our best efforts. Thing is we are not experts, no one is. When our performance or self opinion is low we fall into danger critical zones of how we feel about ourselves. For this we need to take a moment to remember the highest opinion, the thoughts of God towards us. It is important as well. We need to how ever often remind ourselves of how great God's love for us is. Remember it was God's kindness that led you to him, and will keep you. We live in a diverse sort of world of currents. Currently people are having a life of difficulty. Currently there are wars, and CURRENTLY there is a lot of vanity. A mentality of me, me"ism". People that are concerned with appearances far more than substance. Vanity is not new, but it seems the culture of the vapid and meaningless has grown by leaps and bounds in a world where meaning is lost. Grab all you can and do what you want is the modus operandi of the culture we live in. Today we look at what God both loves and hates as indicators of the character of God and what that may mean in your life. God Loves the righteous, the upright, justice and the sinner. God hates evil and wickedness. What does that mean to the living? There is time to accept God into your life and change the path you are on. As we adapt to the various understandings of God in life, the ones that seem to stick the hardest are images of a tyrant ruler, expecting duty and watching all we do. While it is not untrue that God sees all and is in fact above all powers, God is interested in you. God cares for you. He is looking for you to come home as it were. God is a big three letter word that means almost nothing if we do not understand the attributes of God in their entirety and how they work out in and towards our lives. In our day and age, life is overwhelming, troubles multitudinous, cares multiplied and sorrows are abounding. We fail to see God no matter how hard we try at times. The church may have let you down. What does the Bible say about angels? It seems to me that the topic is far removed from daily thought and conversation. Yet, in the Bible there seem to be many instances of angelic beings and their activity. The involvement of angels seem to range from the very presence of God the Father to the smallest life of a child. There is seemingly a simple way to connect to God, and a complicated ever-disqualifying path, legalism. What is in fact acceptable religion to God? Ralph Waldo Emerson Anger is a heavy weight to bear, seemingly unbearable since we want to cast it off in every direction. Alas, casting it off in every direction fills our world with hate and grief. It is quite human to feel angry. There are plenty of actual things to be angry about, but it is wise to approach life not with the angry foot forward, but rather a reasoning mind. Sin has practically been eradicated from conversation. Nearly perfectly explained away by social norms and movements. The arguments for sin have become so strong that nearly all people cannot even recognize what a real sin is, even though it seems to be imbedded in our very nature. From needless war to forgetfulness of our needy fellow humans, sin swirls about humanity endlessly. We know to do right, yet we fail to execute on it. We harbor low opinions of others. In our present world it can seem as if there is life and only the pursuit of our own affairs as if nothing else mattered. Happiness seems to be our pursuit, escaping the groaning reality that is life. We can lose site of the idea that life is temporary and science as well as atheism would love you to believe that life is one and done. That you live for no reason, die and then nothing. Convincing people there is no purpose to life and that there is no heaven is one thing, but closing their minds to the very real possibility of HELL is quite another. In the world, surrounded by the trappings of life and "10,000 things" God can seem impossibly far away. Is God With is.
