Can you believe we are almost done with Motherland: Fort Salem?? The plot is picking up some steam so tune in as we witches discuss episodes 7, 8, and 9 in season 3! We're back from our holiday break! Yay!! Lets light another candle and try to wait for the Spring Equinox. We are back once more with our secretest of circles. Niki is very riled up through most of it, but does settle at the end as we truly reflect on not only this show, but other subjects as well. We top it off with some light planning on our next big shows to come and called it a form of a success. Well, well, well here we are again. This Secret Circle episode Jade and Niki were a bit all over the place. Not that we're extremely structured all the times, but portions just devolved into chaos. This episode was not so lucky with the amount of tangents that appeared. None the less our classic one liners got to come through. Jade got to say "I hate the sappy stuff." and Niki got to sneak in a "I hate Jake." Was Jake barely in the episode? Yes. This is an exciting one witches! We splash back with an episode that we absolutely adore. This is a wonderful episode that we simply joke with and sing its praises of basically the whole time. Sadly the recording session ended in tragedy with one of Jade's porcelain figures making a jump off the shelf and breaking. RIP little porcelain animal. We didn't have it recorded, but felt it should be mourned. Speaking of mourning we get to do a really great deep dive where we talk about one of our favorite things. Spirit boards! Your favorite witches are back with lucky episode number 13 of The Secret Circle season 1 titled "Medallion"! We continue on that trend where Niki dislikes the episode and Jade enjoys it--though disclaimer, Jade was accidentally tipsy when she watched it and that may have had a positive effect! To finish it off, we deep dive on the Autumnal Equinox (a little late, yeah? Shows you how far life and Niki's COVID threw us off... Thanks for sticking around with us through it though!!) So grab your favorite potion to drink and come join us on the couch! Minor warning, for some reason Niki's audio is slightly louder and metallic right before the 75-minute mark. It only lasts for a few seconds, but we were not able to edit that section to get it any better.

Our deepest apologies everyone for not getting any episodes posted in a while. A couple weeks after recording this Niki came down with covid and it super knocked her out. Everything kind of just got busy and stalled following her recovery. We are finally back though! This is a strange Secret Circle episode to return with after so long away as the theme is Jade and Niki are confused. It's a nice long one though, since we have to explain and theorize quite a bit. Mind spells work like time spells, Jake is back, and we all get to see a random Scooby Doo esk ship graveyard. What could go wrong? Grab a drink and a snack. Take a break and relax. We have reached the half-way point of The Secret Circle! Can you believe it? We talk quite a bit here because we really enjoyed the episode--great one-liners, intrigue, and even more red flags! Also, remember when Jade had a sore throat in the last episode? She tested positive for COVID 6 hours later! Please excuse any stuffiness and coughing on her part (though really, it's not much!) now that she's been cleared to resume working. We're back again with the secretest of circles. Fun fact that Jade's minor illness mentioned here is just the beginning of events in what would be coming. None the less we have quite a bit of fun with the episode, surprisingly except when it comes to Faye. There is a point where Niki says "and" I swear like a dozen times in a row so sorry in advance for that. We even got to deep dive into an actual show relevant topic and talk about Elderberry in detail. Turns out both Jade and I find it fascinating! We aren't going to call this episode our unicorn, but we WILL call it our Pegasus.... Boy did we have so much fun recording this one! We are back after the holidays! sorry for the spotty posting. Happy 2022! However, we are not happy with this episode of Motherland Fort Salem. As they did in season one, they are throwing so many things out there in the plot and hoping something sticks for future use. It drives Jade and Niki nuts! There are a few really interesting lines we pull out, plus the introduction of a character with a p0rn name, before our episode culminates in a deep dive on mediations. This show is still breaking your hosts, but we have some really great break downs of the details in this one! We appreciate an early meta callout of the plot, then it's downhill from there as the story tries to bring big emotional concepts that just don't get the sort of set up or follow up they really need. I would like to call this episode "Are we done yet?". Things try to get interesting in this episode with a daring rescue of Raele and a half interested approach from your hosts. There are some interesting scenes and some jokes for our own amusement, so hopefully we can still bring the fun to this last sprint towards the end of the season. We get a mindful and interesting deep dive of personal spell casting spaces. A small witchy look at space and place. Niki is starting to wish she was doing Witches of East End again, but not yet. Its our autumn holiday episode! Also a happy surprise is that we actually really enjoyed this episode. Your hosts are a little silly and not completely keeping to the plan, but its the holiday episode and we enjoy ourselves. Much to Niki's chagrin, we witches continue with Motherland Fort Salem! This episode had some more interesting details but we still hate the editing choices it seems (see Niki's rant right before our deep dive on storm magic). Also, be warned, we have a minor issue with static in the background that shows up randomly throughout... In this slightly shorter episode, we wonder why so many plot points are introduced as if they're major then treated as if they aren't, reminisce about the hearing tests we've had in our lives, and take a moment to appreciate our high school curriculum (now that we've been out in the world, we think they did a pretty good job!). We both agree it is still a rough start to season 2 for Motherland: Fort Salem. We muddle through by arguing over very minute details in an early Willa Collar scene, making bad comparisons to the Bond films, and overall just trying to have a lot of fun with each other before finishing with a deep dive on astral projection. Come hither as we return to Motherland: Fort Salem with season 2 episode 1 "Of The Blood". We found it...underwhelming. Especially as a season starter. Before diving back into Motherland Fort Salem we thought we would take a deeper look at the Salem Witch Trials. We also found this as our opportunity to welcome our first guest! We go into this with our wonderful guest host Jeremy of the Babysitters Book Club podcast. Though we mostly cover The Crucible and the historical event of the Salem Witch Trials, this is definitely a more playful episode. Featuring vocab lessons, Scooby Doo, the WWE, and a ton of laughter. After finishing another TV season, we like to take a little break and do a movie. Join us as we revisit a childhood favorite: Twitches! Welcome to our unicorn of an episode! We talk shop with another episode of Witches of East End--probably one of our top favorites yet! I feel like we say that almost every episode, but they honestly just keep roping us in. Everyone faces a struggle in this episode: Ingrid and Mike get more personal, Freya clashes with the Shifter, Wendy and Joanna let it all out in the open between them, and Niki breaks a wine glass after harassing Jade! Why is this a unicorn episode though? It's our first (and hopefully only) time we skipped our Deep Dive! We couldn't settle on a single topic then life got in the way of recording that section once we did. Forgive us! What? We are back once more with another Witches of East End episode. Sorry for the very late posting. Witchy Niki got fairly behind in life and was just not able to get done some of the posting necessities as quickly as she would have liked. Thankfully our enchanting Jade was kind enough to pick up the slack. We continue with our East End witches, this time getting to discuss some cool flashback to the turn of the 20th century. Also Niki freaks out over sets. We then of course deep dive into Past Life magic, and finish it all off with a fairly in depth chat about alcohol. We were having a science moment! Back with another electric episode of Witches of East End. First off sorry the audio of Niki isn't too great, we have no idea how that happened in this random episode, but stick with us! Other than that we celebrate St. Patrick's Day in this episode, talk about genetics, the science of electricity/lightning and I suppose witch stuff too. It is actually a very fun episode where your hosts maybe have a little too much fun with our tv witches antics and life choices. Back again with Witches of East End. This was honestly one of my favorite episodes to record yet. We had a great time messing around with the dialogue, swooning over bad ass Joanna, and taking some digs at Dash. Mix in a great time with a witch lawyer and it made for a highly entertaining/amazing episode. We finish it up with a deep dive on talismans because the show title demanded it. Its now just a couple days past Beltane, but Happy Beltane as well! Grab a refreshing spring potion or drink, open the windows, and come relax with us on the couch!
