Andrea Jones goes to great lengths to preserve her precarious reputation at the school where she teaches. It's touch and go. Andrea Jones told her first story during a showcase at the end of Story District's five-week Storytelling 101 course. She then performed it at the Capital Fringe Festival in a show directed by Stephanie Garibaldi and Mick McVey. Since then, she's had a short movie made based on the story by the Grown web series team for Real 2 Reel, Story District's partnership with DC Shorts, and told it as part of the Atlas Intersections Festival for Story District's "Uncommon Sense" featuring stories about the five senses (guess which sense Andrea did). The 5th Annual Funk Parade filled the historic U Street Corridor with music and maDCap was there to capture the energy. Our own David Ross was one of the festival organizers this year and Dan Bloom was lucky enough to run into him and snag a few minutes while walking together down U Street.
