Just as he was gaining critical and commercial success as a rap artist, Ermias Asghedom, widely known as Nipsey Hussle, was murdered in broad daylight in a parking lot on March 31, 2019. A new book by a founding editor of Vibe, Rob Kenner, titled, The Marathon Don't Stop: The Life and Times of Nipsey Hussle, chronicles the rapper’s life and his rise as a national hip hop star and community activist. Rob Kenner joins us to discuss Asghedom’s life, work, and legacy. This segment is guest-hosted by Rebeca Ibarra.
Channeled messages I received today (Friday, October 25, 2019) from Mr. Asghedom and stuff on related topics. Edited to add: I just realized after recording and publishing this episode the Steve Lobel connection with cigars and NIPSEY HUSSLE. There is why I got the channeling. Steve Lobel is the first search result on the first link below. Is Steve Lobel the man that Ms. Alexyss said is a vampire? Hmmm. Steve Lobel supposedly "discovered" Nipsey Hussle and has a "Cigar Talk" about being A&R and managing Nipsey Hussle (see video link Rap Radar with Steve Lobel Cigar Talk on the number 3 search link below). Here is the exact Steve Lobel Cigar Talk link for YouTube: https://youtu.be/jQbcm-aYStU. ----------------------------- 1) The Google search result for the "Nipsey Hussle Dos Santos cigars": (Notice Karen Civil is search result number 3 and then the "Last Time I Checc'd" song lyrics by Nipsey is below that (which cigars are mentioned in the lyrics). https://www.google.com/search?q=nipsey+hussle+dos+santos+cigars&oq=nipsey+hussle+dos+santos+cigars&aqs=chrome..69i57.5262j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 ------------------------------ 2) Dionne Warwick (writers: Burt Bacharach and Hal David" Song: "Do You Know The Way to San Jose?" On this episode of Tea Time, Tay sits down with the cast of the Schoolem Jonesy Podscast to talk about the impact that Nipsey's Hussle had on their lives, how Kodak Black is a GOOFY and finally what needs to happen about holding our favorite artists accountable for making positive strides within the black community! The Asghedom family decided that the L.A. Staples Center would be the right venue to accommodate the thousands of well wishers that will be attending the funeral of the late great Nipsey Hussle. The Staples Center is a 21,000- seat venue. This isn't the first time the venue was used to host the funeral of a high level celebrity. It was used back in 2009 for the funeral of the late great Michael Jackson. The Staples Center stands to make lots of money on Nipsey's funeral by selling tickets to the public, will his children get some of that money?. If you've watched the news this week, you'd know that hip hop has lost one of it's greats. Contrary to what some may choose to believe, Ermias "Nipsey Hussle" Asghedom was a father, brother, son, business owner, community figure and a sign of hope. In this episode of the podcast, we highlight 5 things that Master Builders can take from his life and career. This is raw. Unedited. And from the heart. Listen until the end. You don't want to miss it. You are #YoungMoney.
