Nipsey The Great, Neighborhood Nip, Nipsey Hussle. Man. What can I say. I could go on a long explanation about what Nipsey meant to me. I did that in the episode. I could tell you what he meant to his community. I tried but it's not my place. I could tell you what he meant to his loved ones. But that's not my place ether. Nipsey told you his story, his perspective, showed you his compass, his morals. his beliefs and his emotion in each verse he laid. Nipsey provided for his community, his city, his family, his fans every single day. Nip showed up when and where most of us wouldn't. Nip stood on what he stood on, ten toes down. I don't know that there are many humans who made as big an impact in the short time like Nip did. Every day I think about what Nip would be doing, what phase of his life, his business, his music, his impact he would be at today. Nipsey Hussle is truly missed, but Ermias Joseph Asghedom is missed every single day by those that were closest to him and his spirit will live on forever. Thank you Nip for the legacy that you left that continues to grow because of who you surrounded yourself with in the physical. Thank you for your inspiring music. Thank you for being you. Thank you. Check out this episode about the one and only Ermias "Nipsey Hussle" Asghedom and his lasting impact and music. This whole episode is a sound bed of Nipsey music. Then go check out all of his music, interviews and book recommendations. Please like, subscribe and leave a review where possible. Thank you and have a great day. This is the last episode of this season. See you when we get back for season four.
Crenshaw was the masterfully marketed mixtape from music maven Nipsey Hussle. Crenshaw was released to mixtape hosting sites for free and on the same night Nipsey began selling copies of Crenshaw along with other incentives to willing fans for $100 a piece. That first night Nip was selling a total of 1,000 copies and he sold out that same night. In the following days this move would gain a lot of publicity and praise. This model is something he would continue with his bodies of work. Check out this episode on the classic mixtape Crenshaw by Neighborhood Nip, Nipsey The Great, Nipsey Hussle. Please, like, subscribe and leave a review where possible. Thank you and have a great day.
Nipsey traveled across the world, but all of his love and loyalty funneled back to the community that raised him. With the corner of Crenshaw Boulevard and Slauson Avenue as his headquarters, this episode looks at Nipsey's devout local commitment — and how that played out in the worlds of business, philanthropy and social justice as many young Black men in the NBA began to actively engage in those areas as well. In death, Nipsey left a blueprint for this friends to follow, and through them, Nipsey's prophetic mantra, ‘The Marathon Continues' will do just that.

Neighborhood Nip made the phrase "Victory Lap" popular. It exemplifies winning and beating the odds. Episode 4 deals with being aligned and support. To win or be successful you have to be focused, aligned and willing to sacrifice. Surrounding yourself with the right people and seperating from those who are not progressing. The Hip Hop community has been rocked by the untimely death of rapper, visionary, and entrepreneur Nipsey Hussle. He was 33 years old. Not only did he make great music (his latest album "Victory Lap" was nominated for a Grammy), but he was a beacon of light for his Los Angeles community and supporters worldwide. He was a mogul in the making, and young dream chasers could look to his example on how to truly make something from nothing. He showed us how to "hussle and motivate" and taught us that the dream comes with "dedication, hard work, plus patience." In this episode, I have a posthumous conversation with Neighborhood Nip to pose a few questions that young Millennial Dreamers might want to know. To all those he inspired, the marathon must continue. Rest in Perfect Peace, Nipsey Hussle the Great. Your impact on the world is immortal.

This week we dedicate the Moment of Victory to the life of Nipsey Hussle, who’s life was a moment of victory. An remember, if the choice is #VictoryOrNothing, is it really that hard to choose?
The Hip Hop world and the black community lost a good man in Nipsey Hussle over some dumb ish this week and The Rude Urban Truth felt it. JB felt like it was important to explain that a person's dislike for a misunderstanding that he said should not negate any of the positive things that he was doing and have done for the black community. We also dive into the Wendy Williams saga and help in celebrating HOV and Bey's vanguard award acceptance speech from the GLAAD awards. We are now in the month of April where we are highlighting a new Beautiful Black Business. This month's BBB is Knittings & Things owned by Aerial Sanders. Her clothes ARE DOPE. Check her out. You will not be disappointed. She will make anything you ask and with precision.Take a listen and remember, love yourself and love your edges.
