The reasons why women seek abortion have not changed, but society and culture have, according to Emily Berning, president and co-founder of Let Them Live. Pro-abortion groups like Planned Parenthood use flashy, professional, and sometimes seductive social graphics and short-form videos to target young women across social media with a pro-abortion messages. If the pro-life movement is going to capture the attention of the next generation, then they must employ a similar strategy, according to Berning. Today, 76% of Gen Z believes abortion should be legal in almost all cases, according to Pew Research, proving the goal to instill a culture of life in America has yet to be reached. While the demand for abortion remains, Berning and her team at Let Them Live are filling a practical need for moms considering abortion. The nonprofit, first founded in 2019, provides practical financial support to women considering an abortion. Let Them Live will, for example, pay an expectant mother's rent for a year or will take on the woman's car payment or utility bill while she works to find a job that allows her to be a mother and provider for her child. Just last year, the group celebrated 1,000 babies saved from abortion. Berning joins “Problematic Women” to share about the work of Let Them Live and discuss how the next generation views the fight for the unborn. Connect with our hosts on socials! In this week's episode, host Adam Green speaks with arts and culture journalist Dale Berning Sawa, whose work has appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, The Art Newspaper, and on her Substack at daleberningsawa.substack.com, about the shocking theft at the Louvre that has captivated the art world. Dale brings us up to speed on the latest developments in the investigation and explores the deeper questions the heist has raised, including how museums can balance public access with protecting their collections, why security systems failed, and what this reveals about the evolving role of museum staff and technology. Together they discuss what this high-profile theft says about museum culture today and what lessons institutions everywhere should take from it.
In this episode, Emily Berning, co-founder of Let Them Live, joins the conversation to share how one act of radical obedience turned into a national movement that has helped hundreds of women choose life. Emily and her husband started with nothing but conviction—emptying their own bank account to meet the needs of one mother in crisis. From that single step of faith, God multiplied their “yes” into an organization that's now rescued over a thousand babies from abortion. Our conversation isn't just about the incredible work of Let Them Live—it's about what it means to say yes to God when it feels terrifying. Emily's story is a testimony to how obedience, even when it doesn't make sense, becomes the catalyst for miracles. We talk about the power of meeting people where they are, how God provides when the numbers don't add up, and what it looks like to keep walking when fear tells you to stop. Whether you're passionate about defending life, feeling called to start something new, or simply need a reminder that God honors faith over comfort, this episode will challenge and encourage you to step out and trust Him with what you have. Is the pro-choice side really pro-choice? Do women who choose to have abortions truly choose to have abortions, or do they have choices systematically eliminated until there is no option remaining except to have an abortion? These are not simple questions to answer, but thankfully people are out there working to solve some of these complex issues. This week, Nikki joins me as we talk with Emily & Nathan Berning of Let Them Live (https://letthemlive.org), an organization dedicated to helping women and mothers have the choice to keep a child. Oh, yeah, the audio. Apparently I would have to pay VMix another $250 to have another Zoom user in the video, so my VMix software was not set up to facilitate this. So it turned out to be easier to just use Zoom. Check out our Youtube channel for the video version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0xnSjq3PJA
