Elida Almeida tiene solo 27 años, pero ya ha pasado más de la mitad de su vida en el circuito musical profesional: más de 16 años cantando en clubs e iglesias de Cabo Verde, y desde hace varios años, en todo el mundo paseando sus composiciones originales y espectáculos festivos. Elida Almeida nos dejó su cd “Gerasonobu”. Elida Almeida firma la confirmación de su posición como estrella de la música caboverdiana post-Évora, al tiempo que reúne varios componentes externos (incluyendo afro-electro, rock, kizomba y zouk) en la columna vertebral centrados en ritmos y géneros de la patria. “Bestiale” es un disco recopilatorio que recorre lo mejor del trabajo de BraAgas en todos estos años. Unos años que han sido fecundos y en los que encontramos muchas pepitas de oro. En sus arreglos de música folclórica, BraAgas tiene la intención de utilizar la diversidad de los orígenes de las canciones individuales. Un interesante ejemplo de instrumentos étnicos e históricos sobre los que las grandes voces femeninas son fantásticas. Una parte importante del repertorio de BraAgas está formado por canciones sefardíes, y en general BraAgas se centra mucho en el repertorio de los países ibéricos. El folclore escandinavo y balcánico también es habitual, porque BraAgas se deleita explícitamente con sus ritmos "extraños" y melodías de canciones. Recientemente, la banda se ha centrado en canciones populares de Moravia.

Anton har været forbi Klaverfabrikken i Hillerød for at høre det tjekkiske band BraAgas. De fire kvinder fra Prag spiller worldmusic med elementer fra oldtids- og middelaldermusik og blander på den måde gamle og moderne instrumenter. Vi skal på en musikalsk rundtur i Centraleuropa med afstikkere til blandt andet Spanien og Balkan.
