For years, I had no interest in visiting Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. I'm not sure why. Maybe it was because of it being a convention resort. Maybe something about the theming just didn't land with me the way other resorts did. Whatever the reason, all of that changed in 2019. On a rainy summer evening in July of that year, I joined a friend for a visit to Gran Destino Tower, the brand new addition to this resort. I fell in love with the Tower -- its restaurants and lounges, its public spaces, and, yes, its ambient music. Over time, I returned to this resort again and again, mostly for the Tower. But eventually I ventured out to explore the rest of the Coronado Springs property. And...it was wonderful! Still is! Winding paths, courtyards, fountains, parks...every corner I turned provided new discoveries -- visually and audibly. To discover something delightfully new in Walt Disney World is, well, maybe you know the feeling. It's amazing and refreshing and, well, this time it was also a little embarrassing. After all, I had put off visiting this resort for so long. And I was wrong to do that. I allowed preconceived notions to influence me. I know better than that. At least I do now. It's with this in mind that I hope you give a listen to this resort's amazing soundscape. Let the sounds and the tunes transport you to the desert southwest, and beyond. Listen as the modulating calls of cicadas, remind us that it's summer. Don't be surprised to find your toe tapping or hips swaying in your chair as you are drawn in by the rhythms of the Spanish guitar.

You may have heard the beautiful guitar intro for the 2000 hit song performed by Toni Braxton, “Spanish Guitar.” This solo was performed by renowned studio guitarist, Dean Parks. Although Parks played this solo with a pick, I am going to show you how to play it with your fingers while using common flamenco guitar techniques, such as arpegio, picado, ligado, and rasgueados. You won't want to miss with tutorials for the flamenco guitar. If you've ever been asked to play something “Spanish” on the guitar, then this solo is just what you've been looking for, because not only will I teach you one…but TWO flamenco rasgueados or “rasgueos,” or AKA: "rajeos." Enjoy! _______________________________________________

Now we've made it to the part of the song where things really start taking off. The figurative “launch pad” that Paco uses to boost the tempo and rhythmic intensity is a technique called alzapúa. With this technique, you will be using your thumb exclusively. Watch the lesson video to see in detail how it's done. By the time we finish the lesson, you'll have a highly valuable new tool in your flamenco guitar toolbox. Enjoy! Book a FREE Call w/ Me: https://bit.ly/2VgD0Df
For this second lesson of “Danza Mora” for the flamenco guitar, you will be doing an upward arpeggio; it's called an “upward” arpeggio because the plucking pattern runs toward you (the player). The arpeggio pattern is as follows: a&p-m-i, a-m-i, a-m, with a consistent accent on the a&p. The third and fourth fretting fingers will run through some relatively demanding legado (hammer-on) movements and some slides as well. Remember to keep your right hand stable so as to allow for maximum precision while executing the arpeggio. Enjoy!

Willie Graff & Darren Eboli - Ahisma Another Dj Edit By Mr. Turner https://hypeddit.com/track/equz7j Willie Graff & his musical partner Darren Eboli deliver another fantastic 4 tracker on Copenhagen’s Music For Dreams Label. Willie Graff splits his year between DJ residencies in New York and Ibiza (Pacha). In this second outing with studio partner Darren Eboli, the influence is, African, NY clubbing, World mixing Mediterranean and further afield. The duo finds its roots in the past, building a link between the soul of a song and the warmth of a melody then combining them with a contemporary sound. The opener “All Is Bliss” sits at the pinnacle of the underground – A powerful, Balearic, disco influenced club track full of Spanish guitar, handclaps, club synths sounds like it was made for Dj Harvey’s “Mercury Rising” at Pikes in Ibiza. “Ahimsa” is an outstanding track with funky breakbeat, weird Eastern samples, sneaking acid and Kraftwerk like arpeggios. “La Sirena” is a balearic beach styled mid tempo chugger with chopped up breaks, deep sub-bass, Compass Point styled keys, whispering voices saying “Let Your Mind Be Free” . If you are a Cafe Del Mar connoisseur and longing for that sunset moment “Bellatrix” does the trick featuring bits of Spanish Guitar, Flute, Oboe and floating warm pads creating that early 90ties vibe. Another winner from Willie and Darren - and hopefully an album soon

Today I was able to unpack a new Spanish Guitar from D'Angelico, and I put it right into my studio. I think that this was a little bit straight ahead, but still enjoyable enough to share with everyone. There is a video on my YouTube Channel, if you would like to see it. My wife named the track when she came in to listen. Enjoy! I will be composing some more complex uses of this instrument soon. But for now, be well, relax, and take a breath. --Support my music through my newest album, All At Once, on digital platforms everywhere, thanks everyone!!
