"Forever Shining" In 1976 brothers Tony and Chip Kinman founded the legendary Carlsbad punk band The Dills, who in just four short years crammed their music CV with highlights. Before they disbanded in 1980, The Dils had recorded classics like "Class War" and Mr. Big" opened for the Clash and appeared in Cheech and Chong's Up In Smoke. The Kinmans went on to form Rank and File, who are considered by many to be one of the first cowpunk bands around. Rank and FIle's rootsy stomp and melodic muscle powered them through three perfect albums--Sundown, Long Gone Dead and their self-titled 19897 swansong. The Kinmans had an uncanny ability to read the cultural room before anyone else--they were hardcore before it hit the suburbs and they were cowpunk before it was cool and with their next band Blackbird, they were techno metal before Korn and Linkin Park shirts at Hot Topic. The Kinmans went on to play in bands like Cowboy Nation and Ford Madox Ford and sadly, Tony Kinman died in 2018. Which brings us to KInman's self-titled Kinman's new album. A stirring song cycle filled with acoustic numbers, Tex-Mex techno, the undulating rhythms and "Me And Tony" a streetwise tribute to a life in music with his brother, Kinman's new record sounds like nobody else. It's filled with unexpected sonic flourishes, heartfelt emotional ruminations, great storytelling and devastating beauty. Hebreos 12:15 “Mirad bien, no sea que alguno deje de alcanzar la gracia de Dios; que brotando alguna raíz de amargura, os estorbe, y por ella muchos sean contaminados”.Tanto  el mundo espiritual del lado de la luz como el mundo espiritual del lado de las tinieblas es tan vasto que jamás conoceremos su “Modus Operandis”. Para profundizar el tema que hoy nos compete, es necesario hablar sobre los espíritus asignados.Un espíritu es todo lo que no es carne, el diccionario lo define que un ser inmaterial dotado de razón, se reconoce como un ser dotado de razón (capaz de obrar según un determinado fin) que posee una voluntad o apetito racional, que le permite desear aquello que se le presenta como objeto, también se define como “principio generador, carácter íntimo, esencia o sustancia de algo” Hay espíritus que actúan del lado de la luz, Hebreos 1:14 “¿No son todos espíritus ministradores, enviados para servicio a favor de los que serán herederos de la salvación?” y hay espíritus que actúan del lado de las tinieblas, Apocalipsis 12:9 “Y fue lanzado fuera el gran dragón, la serpiente antigua, que se llama diablo y Satanás, el cual engaña al mundo entero; fue arrojado a la tierra, y sus ángeles fueron arrojados con él”.Vayamos a un ejemplo expedito en la Palabra en el libro de Mateo 12:43-45 “Cuando el espíritu inmundo sale del hombre, anda por lugares secos, buscando reposo, y no lo halla. Entonces dice: Volveré a mi casa de donde salí; y cuando llega, la halla desocupada, barrida y adornada. Entonces va, y toma consigo otros siete espíritus peores que él, y entrados, moran allí; y el postrer estado de aquel hombre viene a ser peor que el primero. Así también acontecerá a esta mala generación.” Presta atención al verso 44 “Entonces dice: Volveré a mi casa de donde salí…” ¿Por qué volvió el espíritu? Él regresa a ver cómo está la casa y cuando regresa la encuentra “desocupada, barrida y adornada”; Aquí la pregunta es ¿Por qué regresó? Porque esa era su casa, la del espíritu; el espíritu regresó a su casa. ¿Por qué era su casa? Porque alguien de autoridad se la había asignado.Ahora vamos a estudiar que significa La palabra asignar: Es dar permiso, destinar un propósito, dar una autoridad, una responsabilidad, una misión, establecer, nombrar u ordenar, significa que tiene el permiso, tiene la autorización para entrar y ejecutar la tarea que se le asignó.Entonces la respuesta correcta a la pregunta ¿Por qué regresó? Porque era su casa, porque alguien de autoridad se la había asignado para cumplir un destino, un propósito, una misión, una tarea.¿Qué clase de tareas debe cumplir un espíritu de las tinieblas? Para poder responder esta pregunta me tengo que referir a una cita bíblica escrita en Éxodo 15:9 “El enemigo dijo: Perseguiré, apresaré, repartiré despojos; Mi alma se saciará de ellos; Sacaré mi espada, los destruirá mi mano”, y a Juan 10:10 “El ladrón no viene sino para hurtar y matar y destruir; yo he venido para que tengan vida, y para que la tengan en abundancia”.Un espíritu asignado jamás se va a ir, porque entiende lo que es la responsabilidad de una asignación. Si a un espíritu inmundo le dicen “tú estás asignado a matar a tal persona a través de una enfermedad, lo primero que hace es buscar aliados que producen enfermedades”, por eso la Palabra dice en el verso 45 “Entonces va, y toma consigo otros siete espíritus peores que él, y entrados, moran allí; y el postrer estado de aquel hombre viene a ser peor que el primero”. Esto es lo que va a hacer siempre, por tal razón debemos estar alertas para no abrir puertas a los espíritus de las tinieblas en nuestra vida, familia y descendencia.Para finalizar es necesario plantear esta pregunta: ¿Como llegaron esos espíritus de las tinieblas a nuestras vidas? Cuando tu eres engendrado, Dios coloca aliento de vida sobre el proceso físico que ocurre en la unión del ovulo con el esperma, allí comienza la formación del alma, precisamente de todas las vivencias del alma desde el vientre hasta el día de hoy. En el transcurrir de nuestra vida esas vivencias comienzan a formar el alma y en cada una de las marcas emocionales (violencia, violaciones, relaciones malignas, pactos, maltratos, deshonra, etc), se abre una puerta o se le entrega el derecho legal para que satanás asigne espíritus inmundos con el fin de controlar cada área a la que se le ha abierto la puerta, este espiritu de las tinieblas no va a claudicar hasta cumplir el propósito que se le asignó..Para que arranquemos todo espíritu inmundo que hay en medio de nuestras vidas, tenemos que tomar la decisión de morir, renunciar, quitar, arrancar, destituir, “quitar” el “derecho legal” a esos espíritus inmundos que fueron asignados a nuestra “Casa” y lo hacemos con el conocimiento pleno de que Cristo ya lo hizo en la Cruz del Calvario, Colosenses 2:14-15 “anulando el acta de los decretos que había contra nosotros, que nos era contraria, quitándola de en medio y clavándola en la cruz, y despojando a los principados y a las potestades, los exhibió públicamente, triunfando sobre ellos en la cruz”.De aquí nace un principio espiritual “Aquello que no ha pasado por la muerte nunca podrá ser consagrado a Dios”.Lo que está en nosotros, lo que manipula nuestras vidas, no nació en nosotros, fue adquirida y permitida por nuestra mente (alma) a través de nuestros sentidos y nuestro intelecto, por lo tanto si no nació entonces fue introducido, adquirido, asignado y aceptado por nosotros por falta de conocimiento o por un conocimiento incorrecto.Para finalizar quiero traer un par de ejemplos bíblicos:1. Espíritu de tormento asignado a Saúl — 1 Samuel 16:14 “El Espíritu de Jehová se apartó de Saúl, y le atormentaba un espíritu malo de parte de Jehová”. El rey Saúl estaba siendo atormentado por un espíritu maligno enviado por Dios, porque el Espíritu del Señor se había retirado de él. Sus siervos, al ver su sufrimiento, sugirieron buscar a alguien que tocara el arpa para aliviarlo, ya que la música lo reconfortaba durante esos momentos de angustia. Saúl es atormentado: Debido a que había rechazado a Dios, el Espíritu del Señor lo abandonó y un mal espíritu vino a atormentarlo.Buscan un músico: Sus sirvientes, conscientes de su aflicción, propusieron buscar a alguien que tocara el arpa para traerle alivio temporal.Sugieren a David: Un siervo mencionó a David, el hijo de Isaí, quien era un talentoso músico y un joven valiente y de buena presencia.David alivia a Saúl: David fue llevado ante Saúl y, cuando tocaba el arpa, el mal espíritu se apartaba y Saúl se sentía mejor, aunque fuera temporalmente. Espíritu de mentira — 1 Reyes 22:21-22 “Y salió un espíritu y se puso delante de Jehová, y dijo: Yo le induciré. Y Jehová le dijo: ¿De qué manera? Él dijo: Yo saldré, y seré espíritu de mentira en boca de todos sus profetas. Y él dijo: Le inducirás, y aun lo conseguirás; ve, pues, y hazlo así”. Un espíritu se presenta ante Jehová y se ofrece a ser un "espíritu de mentira" para engañar a los profetas del rey Acab, prometiendo inducirlo a la guerra contra Ramot de Galaad. Jehová le concede permiso, permitiendo que el espíritu cumpla su propósito de engaño y mentira”, la consecuencia de este plan es importante ya que muestra cómo Dios permite que un espíritu de engaño lleve a cabo su propósito, culminando en la derrota de Acab, quien había despreciado el consejo de sus verdaderos profetas. Espíritus asignados a familias y generaciones: En la familia de Abraham observamos patrones repetitivos de mentira y engaño. Patti Smith gilt als Patin des Punk. Ein ehrenvoller Titel, aber sie ist sogar noch viel mehr als das. Ihre Songs sind episch, die Stimmung mystisch, ihre Texte inspiriert von französischen Lyrikern des 19. Jahrhunderts. Aber ihre Einstellung war eben Punk – z.B. aus der Kleinstadt nach New York zu gehen und „es“ einfach zu machen. Dabei schien die große Zeit von New York da eigentlich gerade vorbei. In den 50ern hatten erst die Beat-Poeten Allen Ginsberg und William S. Burroughs das Village besiedelt, in den 60ern dann Folkmusiker Bob Dylan. Als Patti Smith Ende der 60er, Anfang der 70er nach Manhattan kam, atmete sie den Geist dieser Ären ein und machte daraus etwas Neues, Eigenes. Sie vermischte Blues und Rock, Lyrik und den Freigeist des Jazz mit ihrer eigenen androgynen Aufmüpfigkeit. „Jesus died for somebody else's sins but not mine“ – was für ein Orkan von einer Aussage auf dem Feld des gottesfürchtigen Amerika, mit dem sie ihr Debüt-Album „Horses“ eröffnete, das dieser Tage 50 Jahre alt wird. Auch in diesem Monat erschienen sind ihre neusten, bisher umfassendsten Memoiren „Bread of Angels“. Patti Smith erinnert sich darin an ihre ärmliche, aber schöne Kindheit in Philadelphia, ihre New Yorker Zeit, ihr Leben als Mutter und Ehefrau von Fred „Sonic“ Smith, ihre tragischen Verluste und den Weg zurück auf die Bühne. "Rocks Off" The Connecticut-born singer songwriter Sean Griffin has helmed the Irish punk outfit The Ruffians for close to thirty years. With three great albums under their belts, the band has played shows with everyone from Shane MacGowan to Black 47 and in the process, they've garnered a reputation for being one of the best live acts around. Sean's solo work swaps some of the traditional instrumentation of the Ruffians and makes winning detours into Britpop and indie rock bliss. La excusa es la respuesta humana de alguien que quiere liberarse de una culpa, de una falta o de una responsabilidad, la excusa es una justificación que alguien presenta para evadir una obligación, suavizar un error o evitar una consecuencia. Y la verdad es que estamos llenos de excusas.Cada vez que Dios habla solo tenemos excusas, cada vez que Dios pide cuentas solo tenemos excusas, cada vez que Dios quiere hacer algo lo único que el hombre presenta son excusas. Y yo quiero que usted diga conmigo fuerte: “no hay excusas”.Si Dios te llama, no hay excusas. Si Dios necesita de ti, no hay excusas. Si Dios quiere hacer algo contigo, no hay excusas, porque la excusa es la respuesta humana a la justificación, al error, a la falta y a la carencia. Encontré en la Biblia todos los hombres a los que Dios llamó que presentaron delante de Él “una excusa”:Moisés: En el libro de Éxodo 4:10 “Entonces dijo Moisés a Jehová, Ay Señor, nunca he sido hombre de fácil palabra, ni antes ni desde que tú hablas a tu siervo, porque soy tardo en el habla y torpe de lengua”. Moisés, ofreció una excusa. Toda la vida esperamos que el Señor se revele en nuestras vidas, todo el tiempo esperamos ver la gloria de Dios, nuestra expresión es: “Señor, yo quiero verte cara a cara; Señor, yo quiero que me hables”; Otros anhelan la vara para abrir el mar; Otros quieren hablarle a la peña y verla brotar agua; Otros quieren ser los líderes de movimientos tan grandes como el que lideró Moisés, pero la verdad es, que cuando Dios habla, lo único que le ofrecemos son, excusas. Dios le está entregando a Moisés un llamado tan grande, tan grande y la respuesta de Moisés al Señor es: “No puedo hablar bien”, una excusa.Dios conoce el anhelo de tu corazón, pero siempre se detiene muchas veces por una excusa, ya que es muy fácil decir “yo quiero ver a Dios cara a cara”, pero cuando Dios te dice: “Sube aquí, sube al monte”, siempre aparece una excusa: No tengo tiempo, estoy ocupado, estoy cansado, trabajo mucho y nos quedamos solo con el anhelo, decimos “Quiero verte”, pero no nos atrevemos a subir al monte, porque cuando Dios demanda sacrificio, lo único que le ofrecemos a Dios son excusas.Moisés tenía más de 80 años cuando Dios le dijo “Sube al monte”, Moisés rompe las piedras de los diez mandamientos y el Señor le dijo “Recógelas y sube al monte”, eso significa que la primera vez subió ligero con manos vacías, la segunda vez subió con el peso de la ley sobre él. Él sabía que Dios no admite excusas.Cuando Dios dice “Sube al monte”, no está dando una simple instrucción geográfica; está emitiendo una convocatoria espiritual. Es una cita divina donde el cielo se revela y el hombre se transforma. Este llamado implica separación, esfuerzo y encuentro.Es un llamado a la altura espiritual: “Subir” implica ascender, salir del nivel común. El monte representa el lugar donde se dejan atrás las distracciones, los ruidos y las voces humanas para escuchar solo la voz de Dios. En Éxodo 24:12, el Señor le dijo a Moisés: “Entonces Jehová dijo a Moisés: Sube a mí al monte, y espera allá, y te daré tablas de piedra, y la ley, y mandamientos que he escrito para enseñarles”. Allí no solo le entregó mandamientos, sino revelación y dirección. Es decir, quien sube al monte no regresa igual, sino con palabra fresca y rostro transformado.Es un lugar de intimidad y revelación: El monte es el escenario donde Dios habla en secreto. No es un espacio físico solamente, sino una dimensión espiritual donde la carne se silencia y el espíritu se despierta. Jesús, en Mateo 17:1-2, llevó a Pedro, Jacobo y Juan al monte, y allí fue transfigurado delante de ellos. Esto enseña que la gloria de Cristo no se revela en el valle, sino en la altura de la comunión.Subir al monte es, entonces, separarse para oír lo que otros no escuchan. Los que permanecen abajo solo ven la nube; los que suben dentro de ella escuchan la voz.Es un proceso de santificación: Cada paso hacia la cima representa un nivel de purificación. En el monte, Dios no solo se revela: también santifica. Antes de subir al Sinaí, Moisés mandó al pueblo a lavar sus vestidos (Éxodo 19:10). La pureza antecede la altura. Por tanto, subir al monte implica dejar atrás el polvo del camino, los afectos carnales y las cargas emocionales. Nadie puede subir con peso innecesario.Es transformación: El monte también es símbolo de crisis y cambio interior. Allí se enfrenta la soledad, el cansancio y la lucha interna, pero también se produce la metamorfosis espiritual. Quien sube se encuentra consigo mismo, con su límite y con el poder de Dios que lo supera. El monte no es solo un lugar de encuentro, sino también un altar de rendición.Subir al monte demanda esfuerzo, resistencia y fe. Las promesas no se hallan en el llano, sino en la cumbre. El monte representa los procesos difíciles de la fe: la prueba, la espera, la obediencia sin explicación. Como Abraham en Génesis 22, que subió al monte Moriah con su hijo, creyendo que “Jehová proveerá”. Cada paso fue una declaración de confianza en un Dios que se manifiesta en la altura del sacrificio.“Sube al monte” es el eco eterno de Dios llamando a sus hijos a una relación más alta, es una invitación a salir de lo superficial, a buscar lo eterno, a entrar en la nube de Su presencia, solo los que aceptan el ascenso experimentan la gloria, porque los secretos del cielo no se revelan en el valle, sino en la cumbre del monte.El día que Moisés le dijo a Dios “no puedo”, Dios le dijo “No hay problema, levantó a otro que va a hablar por ti”, Éxodo 4:10-16 “Entonces dijo Moisés a Jehová: ¡Ay, Señor! nunca he sido hombre de fácil palabra, ni antes, ni desde que tú hablas a tu siervo; porque soy tardo en el habla y torpe de lengua. 11 Y Jehová le respondió: ¿Quién dio la boca al hombre? ¿o quién hizo al mudo y al sordo, al que ve y al ciego? ¿No soy yo Jehová? 12 Ahora pues, ve, y yo estaré con tu boca, y te enseñaré lo que hayas de hablar. 13 Y él dijo: ¡Ay, Señor! envía, te ruego, por medio del que debes enviar. 14 Entonces Jehová se enojó contra Moisés, y dijo: ¿No conozco yo a tu hermano Aarón, levita, y que él habla bien? (Esto hay que explicarlo a la iglesia).Dios no pierde tiempo cuando tú te excusas, Dios tiene un plan y lo va a ejecutar y si tu excusa impide que te metas en la agenda de Dios, Dios va a llamar a alguien que no tenga excusa; Muchas veces queremos ser usados por Dios pero estamos llenos de excusas.¿Cuántos llamados se ven frenados por gente que lo único que tiene es una excusa para esconder su fracaso, su falta de responsabilidad, su falta de sacrificio, su falta de entrega? ¿Cuánta gente se propone subir al monte pero nunca llega a la cima? ¿Cuánta gente se propone hacer un ayuno que nunca termina? ¿Cuánta gente se propone leer la Biblia y jamás termina un capítulo? ¿Cuánta gente se propone orar pero no pasa de… Padre nuestro que estás en los cielos? Porque lo único que le presentamos a Dios son excusas.Dios quiere hacer cosas sobrenaturales en tu vida, pero Dios necesita que dejes de tener excusa...

"Hammer + Echo" Getting their start in the early '80s, the Kilkenny Cats were one of the most fascinating bands at a time when there were a lot of fascinating bands around. Formed by the North Carolina born Tom Cheek, who had relocated to Athens, Georgia for college, the Kilkenny Cats played a dark and moody blend of post-punk and psychedelia that still, after all these years, feels decidedly timeless. Here's what I mean by that--sometimes when you listen to a band you can hear the years they existed. We won't name. names, but you know what I mean--however, when it comes to the Kilkenny Cats, their music was so singular, they elude the timeline. Although their fellow city dwelling comrades ranged from REM to Pylon to Love Tractor, they were their own thing. Alive with jangling guitars, prowling basslines, foreboding drums and sonorous vocals, the Kilkenny Cats' music was awash in mystery and maybe that's why all these years later, they still sound as pressingly relevant as ever. They were a beloved live act, they had a deal with Twin/Tone, played shows with REM and Husker Du and then? Well, then decades of silence. Why? Well, that's what we're here to figure out and Tom Cheek walks us through it all. Juan 11:39 “Dijo Jesús: Quitad la piedra. Marta, la hermana del que había muerto, le dijo: Señor, hiede ya, porque es de cuatro días”.Dios desea moverse con poder en la vida de Su pueblo. Él quiere traer milagros, restauración, avivamiento y propósito. Pero muchas veces hay estorbos cosas, personas, pensamientos o hábitos que bloquean el fluir del Espíritu Santo. Estos estorbos no solo impiden el milagro, sino que apagan la pasión, debilitan la fe y nublan la visión espiritual. Así como el profeta Isaías Isaías 57:14 “Y dirá: Allanad, allanad, barred el camino; quitad los tropiezos del camino de mi pueblo” Dios te dice hoy: “Quita todo estorbo, porque quiero hacer algo nuevo en ti”.Hay cosas que Dios quiere hacer contigo, pero hay estorbos en el camino, hay promesas que no se han cumplido, no porque Dios haya cambiado de parecer, sino porque hay algo que está impidiendo que el milagro se manifieste. El problema no siempre es el diablo, a veces somos nosotros mismos: nuestra duda, nuestro orgullo, nuestro pasado o las personas a nuestro alrededor. Jesús siempre está dispuesto a obrar, pero muchas veces la fe del creyente está estorbada.Por eso hoy el Espíritu Santo te dice: “Quita del camino todo lo que estorba el fluir de Mi poder en tu vida”.Y encontré en la Biblia un pasaje que me llamó la atención, y es cuando Lázaro muere y llega Jesús a la tumba a encontrarse con el hombre al que amaba, porque dice la Biblia que amaba a Lázaro; pero había un obstáculo que estaba estorbando “entre el milagro y la resurrección” y ese obstáculo era una piedra. Relato de la resurrección de Lázaro: Jesús resucitó a Lázaro, su amigo, de entre los muertos después de que este hubiese fallecido y llevado cuatro días en el sepulcro. Al llegar a Betania, Jesús, conmovido por el llanto de las hermanas de Lázaro, Marta y María, mandó quitar la piedra de la tumba. Tras orar al Padre, Jesús exclamó: "¡Lázaro, sal fuera!", y Lázaro salió de la tumba, envuelto en vendas. Las hermanas de Lázaro, María y Marta, enviaron un mensaje a Jesús para informarle de la grave enfermedad de su hermano. Jesús respondió que la enfermedad no era para muerte, sino para la gloria de Dios. Jesús se quedó dos días más en su ubicación antes de dirigirse a Judea. Sus discípulos temían ir debido a la hostilidad de la gente allí, pero Jesús les aseguró que Lázaro "estaba dormido" y que iría a despertarlo, aclarando que estaba muerto. Al llegar, Jesús encontró a María y Marta afligidas, y a muchas personas con ellas. Marta le dijo que si Jesús hubiera estado allí, su hermano no habría muerto.Jesús le afirmó a Marta que Lázaro resucitaría, y se declaró "la resurrección y la vida". Marta confesó su fe en Jesús, aunque pensaba que la resurrección sería en el futuro. Jesús pidió que lo llevaran a la tumba de Lázaro. Al llegar, mandó a quitar la piedra y oró en voz alta para que la multitud creyera que el Padre lo había enviado. Luego, gritó: "¡Lázaro, sal fuera!”. Lázaro salió de la tumba, con sus manos y pies atados con vendas. Jesús ordenó desatarlo y dejarlo ir. Este milagro llevó a muchos de los presentes a creer en Jesús. ¿Cual es el estorbo espiritual que no te permite salir?El mayor estorbo para que venga un milagro a tu vida es la incredulidad, está escrito en Mateo 13:58 “Y no hizo allí muchos milagros, a causa de la incredulidad de ellos”. Jesús estaba en su tierra, pero la gente lo veía como “el hijo del carpintero”, no lo reconocieron como el Mesías, el resultado: no hubo milagros. Tu incredulidad puede apagar lo que el cielo ya había preparado para ti, mientras que la fe abre los cielos.Otro de los estorbos es el pecado oculto, es un estorbo silencioso, Salmo 66:18 “Si en mi corazón hubiese yo mirado a la iniquidad, el Señor no me habría escuchado”. Muchos oran, pero no son escuchados, porque tienen algo oculto que no han sacado a la luz o que no han entregado, el pecado se vuelve un muro invisible entre tú y Dios, pero está escrito, Proverbios 28:13 “El que encubre sus pecados no prosperará; Mas el que los confiesa y se aparta alcanzará misericordia”.En Marcos 10:48 dice: “Y muchos le reprendían para que callase, pero él clamaba mucho más: Hijo de David, ten misericordia de mí”. Bartimeo quería su milagro, pero la multitud lo reprendía. Siempre habrá voces que digan: “No molestes”, “No vale la pena”, “Ya oraste mucho”, pero mientras más te callen, más debes clamar.Encuentro en la Biblia otro estorbo común en la gente: El pasado y la culpa que se convierten en el peso, que no te permite avanzar; Filipenses 3:13 “Olvidando ciertamente lo que queda atrás, y extendiéndome a lo que está delante”. Muchos no sirven a Dios porque viven cargando la culpa del ayer y quiero que entiendas que el pasado solo tiene poder, si tú lo sigues alimentando.Ahora bien, hay estorbos que impiden a muchos de los que están aquí servir a Dios, hay quienes aman a Dios, pero no pueden avanzar en el ministerio porque algo los frena:El temor, el miedo al fracaso, al rechazo o al que dirán, pero la palabra dice en 1 Juan 4:18  “En el amor no hay temor, sino que el perfecto amor echa fuera el temor; porque el temor lleva en sí castigo. De donde el que teme, no ha sido perfeccionado en el amor”; Isaías 41:10 “No temas, porque yo estoy contigo”.El orgullo espiritual: Santiago 4:6 “Dios resiste a los soberbios, y da gracia a los humildes”. El orgullo te hace creer que no necesitas corregirte, aprender o someterte, Dios no unge a los autosuficientes, sino a los quebrantados de espíritu, Salmo 34:18 "Cercano está Jehová a los quebrantados de corazón; Y salva a los contritos de espíritu”.Las relaciones incorrectas: 2 Corintios 6:14 “No os unáis en yugo desigual con los incrédulos”. Hay amistades, ambientes y conversaciones que apagan el fuego del Espíritu, recuerda que si algo te aleja de Dios, es un estorbo para el desarrollo de tu vida espiritual.Existen otros estorbos que impiden convertirte en un siervo de Dios, en Lucas 6:46 dice: “¿Por qué me llamáis Señor, Señor, y no hacéis lo que yo digo?”. No basta con decir “yo amo al Señor”, el verdadero siervo se rinde totalmente, por tal razón debemos quitar de nuestra vida la falta de compromiso, la comodidad, la distracción y el doble ánimo.Dios está buscando hombres y mujeres que quiten de sus vidas lo que los estorba para cumplir el propósito que Él diseñó desde el momento en que “Sus ojos vieron tu embrión”, Salmos 139:13-16 “Porque tú formaste mis entrañas; Tú me hiciste en el vientre de mi madre. Te alabaré; porque formidables, maravillosas son tus obras; Estoy maravillado, y mi alma lo sabe muy bien. No fue encubierto de ti mi cuerpo, bien que en oculto fui formado, y entretejido en lo más profundo de la tierra. Mi embrión vieron tus ojos, y en tu libro estaban escritas todas aquellas cosas que fueron luego formadas, sin faltar una de ellas”.Ministración: Cuando Bartimeo arrojó su capa, rompió con su identidad de mendigo, esa capa se convertía en un estorbo, y cuando se levantó y fue a Jesús, recibió la vista. Para recibir tu milagro, debes arrojar la capa, debes soltar todo lo que te estorba… porque lo que viene es mayor que lo que perdiste”.Dios está diciendo hoy: “Quita los estorbos del camino, porque quiero desatar tu milagro”. Los estorbos no son siempre visibles, pueden ser una herida, una excusa, una persona, o incluso una costumbre, pero cuando decides quitarlo, el cielo se abre sobre ti. They have no idea where to go to sit down and pour through their items. "Only Hoping" There's real magic in the work of Al Nicol. There's also real magic that guided the work of Al Nicol but we'll get to that in a second. The Canadian-born singer/songwriter writes some of the most affecting compositions around. His lyrics are contemplative and thoughtful, his voice has a bold and breezy command and his pastoral compositions bring to mind everyone from Nick Drake to Ron Sexsmith. The path leading to Nicol's new album Only Hoping was shown to him through a visit with a shaman and once he received that knowledge, Nicol wasted no time in venturing into the unknown to discover the sonic riches that would form the record. I'll let him tell you that story, but let me say this: Only Hoping is a stirring blend of indie folk and spare psychedelia and it was helmed by MC Taylor of Hiss Golden Messenger whose production effortlessly lifts the songs into the cosmos. Featuring members of Bonny Light Horseman, Erin Rae, and Taylor himself, Only Hoping finds Nicol kicking his songwriting into another otherworldly gear.
