Isaías 5:20 “"¡Ay de los que a lo malo dicen bueno, y a lo bueno malo; que hacen de la luz tinieblas, y de las tinieblas luz; que ponen lo amargo por dulce, y lo dulce por amargo!".La gran pregunta es: ¿Qué es bueno? y ¿qué es malo?; ¿Cómo puedo saber si algo es bueno o es malo?. Muchas personas aseguran que la respuesta a esta pregunta es subjetiva. Es decir, cada uno define o determina lo que es bueno y lo que es malo.Pero… ¿Qué hay de nosotros los cristianos? ¿Pensamos de la misma manera? ¿Acaso creemos que el pecado es algo subjetivo, o, que cada persona puede determinar lo que es bueno y lo que es malo?. La respuesta es la siguiente: “Como cristianos creemos que la biblia es la Palabra de Dios y no es para nada subjetiva, sino totalmente objetiva. Es decir: Si la biblia me dice que mentir es pecado, si la biblia me dice que el adulterio es pecado, así lo es, aunque nuestra sociedad diga lo contrario”.La veracidad de la Palabra de Dios nunca ha estado, ni estará en juego, si la Palabra de Dios me dice que cierta práctica es pecado, no importa como se la quiera disfrazar, siempre seguirá siendo pecado y punto. La desgracia de la humanidad nace de dos errores fatales: Dudar de la Palabra y poner la voz del hombre por encima de la de Dios.Esto fue lo que ocurrió en el Edén con nuestros primeros padres (Adán y Eva). Ellos dudaron de la palabra de Dios cuando decidieron oír la voz de la serpiente; y, pusieron los dichos de la serpiente por encima de la Palabra que salió de la boca de Dios, y esto es exactamente lo mismo que está sucediendo en nuestros días.Para el caso de a Palabra de hoy, me encuentro que, Uzías y Jotán, los reyes a los que Isaías profetiza, tuvieron una característica particular, en el libro de Reyes y en el libro de Crónicas, la historia de estos dos reyes dice que: “Hicieron lo recto ante los ojos de Dios".Cuando tu lees acerca de los reyes de Israel en los libros de Reyes o Crónicas, está lleno de frases como "hizo lo malo", "lo hizo peor que sus antepasados", "hizo lo malo y Dios los castigó". Estos dos reyes no, estos dos “hicieron lo recto ante los ojos de Dios”, pero el problema es que también aclara que los dos permitieron los santuarios paganos, es decir que “permitieron la idolatría”.Es decir, empezaban a hacer lo bueno, caminaban en la ley, pero dejaban los santuarios que permanecían allí; entonces disfrazaban todo. ¿Será que tu haz hecho lo mismo? Vienes a la iglesia, cantas las canciones, oras, ayunas, pero sigues con los mismos santuarios paganos, sigues con los mismos ídolos: pornografía, palabras soeces, indecencia, chisme, maledicencia, maltratos físicos y verbales, etc. Sino buscas la presencia de Dios, como quieres que te pasen cosas buenas, como quieres que Dios te bendiga, como quieres que Dios te abra puertas... La Biblia está siendo muy clara a través del profeta Isaías cuando dice: "qué lástima, qué tristeza, qué dolor aquellos que a lo malo le están diciendo bueno y a lo bueno malo".El diablo es especialista en adormecer la iglesia, y la iglesia en el día de hoy está entrando en un camino de mensajes positivos, de mensajes estructurados, pero de mensajes sin poder, porque la gente no está cambiando, no está siendo transformada, esto es una mala señal.Cuando una persona viene a la iglesia y Dios toca el corazón, hasta las pequeñas cosas empiezan a ser transformadas. Si tu quieres que la vida te cambie, tendrás que acercarte a la cruz de Cristo, no hay nada más poderoso que la presencia de Dios para transformar tu vida; Si tu quieres que te vaya bien, tendrás que estar cerca de Dios, tienes que acercarte a Su presencia, tendrás que empezar a ver la presencia de Dios como lo más dulce en la vida; Hay algunos que le están llamando dulce a estar entregando la vida al pecado, algunos le están diciendo dulce a estar acostándose con el hombre o la mujer que no es su esposo o su esposa, algunos le están llamando dulce a hacer lo malo, como dice Isaías le están llamando amargo a lo que realmente es dulce, ven como amargo a tener un tiempo de oración y de ayuno y si hay algo esencial en la vida es dedicarle tiempo a Dios, es caminar con Dios, por eso es que tu has probado el dinero y te sabe rico, pero luego tiene ese amargo: Menos tiempo, menos sueño, menos vida; luego pruebas los placeres de la vida: risas, juegos, sexo, alcohol, pero todo esto tarde o temprano te pasa factura y el resultado es la “destrucción”.Hoy quiero enseñarte que la palabra “Malo” en hebreo es Destructor:En la Biblia, cuando leemos la palabra "malo" en este versículo, se usa el término hebreo Ra′ (que viene de la raíz Ra′a′). No es solo una etiqueta moral, no es simplemente que a Dios "no le guste algo”, es una acción física; En el hebreo antiguo, esta raíz significa romper, quebrantar, desmenuzar o hacer pedazos.Cuando tú le llamas "bueno a lo malo”, en realidad estás diciendo: "Es bueno esto que me está rompiendo”. El pecado no es inofensivo, no es una "debilidad de carácter”, el pecado es Ra′, una fuerza que entra a tu vida con un solo objetivo: hacerte pedazos.La Diferencia entre lo Bueno (Tob) y lo Malo (Ra′)Lo Bueno (Tob): Es aquello que construye y cumple el propósito de Dios. Es lo que "funciona bien”.Lo Malo (Ra′): Es aquello que destruye el diseño original. Es como un martillo golpeando un cristal: lo que toca, lo arruina.Iglesia, si tú tienes un pecado al que le llamas “un gustico o una canita al aire”, le estás poniendo un nombre dulce a un mazo que está golpeando los cimientos de tu casa. No te engañes: lo que la Biblia llama malo, lo llama así porque tiene el poder de destruir. Esa es la razón por la cual el pecado no se va con consejos ni con libros de autoayuda. El pecado se rinde ante la Cruz de Cristo.Ahora yo pregunto algo. ¿Hasta dónde hemos permitido nosotros que el enemigo venga a anestesiarnos? ¿Como lo ha hecho? A través de:La Religiosidad y La Abundancia: Mucha gente cree que "estar bien económicamente" es sinónimo de "estar bien con Dios" entonces hace votos de sacrificio, da cosas a otros, quiere sostener a los pobres. Desde la religiosidad él cree que está bien y ademas, tiene abundancia, pues no le falta nada, siente que no hay por qué orar, no hay nada que hacer; Cuidado que el enemigo no logre adormecernos con La Religión, vienes a la iglesia, te haces llamar cristiano, sirves en el templo, pero incrustas en tu corazón cosas paganas y siempre al final decimos “es que yo no puedo”, claro es que tu solo no puedes porque el pecado no se quita con consejos, el pecado no se quita con terapias, el pecado no se quita con libros; El pecado se quita con la cruz de Cristo, que puede no solamente sanar el pecado, sino eliminar el pecado.Hoy vengo a hacerle un llamado a cada persona ¿Quieres ser libre? Necesitas volver a la cruz de Cristo, cuando vuelves a la cruz, encuentras esperanza, encuentras salvación y encuentras vida, Isaías dijo: “Aflicción y tristeza hay para los que están llamando a lo malo, bueno y a lo bueno, malo”.Hacia dónde estamos caminando, hasta donde hemos permitido que todo aparentemente venga a redefinirse: "todo es subjetivo", "yo lo veo de otra manera". Hay familias, hay esposos, hay empresarios, hay pastores que podríamos caer en un vacío: y es que le estamos diciendo bueno a lo que en realidad no es bueno.Y yo le digo a las familias hoy: “No es bueno que se griten entre ustedes, No es bueno que se falten al respeto” y lo redefines diciendo "Es que yo soy muy brava, es que yo soy asi y que". La Biblia colocó los principios como son y la Biblia dice: “Cielo y tierra pasarán, pero mis pal...

"Happy Birthday, Peter Hook" There's nothing about Peter Hook that I can tell you you don't already know, so let's just do a refresher run through his musical CV. In the late '70s Hook formed Joy Division with childhood pal Bernard Sumner after the two friends saw the Sex Pistols play in Manchester. The band only put out two albums and one of those albums, the legendary Closer was put out two months after the band had ceased to b,e due to the suicide of singer Ian Curtis on the eve of Joy Division's debut US/Canada tour. Rechristened New Order and consisting of the remaining members of Joy Division plus keyboardist Gillian Gilbert, New Order blended jittery post-punk rhythms with dance music. The result? Well, you know the result. They were one of the biggest bands of the '80s, spawning hits like True Faith, The Perfect Kiss, Subculture and Blue Monday, which was the biggest selling 12-inch of all time. It might still be. New Order dominated the '80s, but the '90s weren't too shabby—they had a #1 UK hit with World In Motion in 1990 and they had their biggest US hit with “Regret” in 1993. They kept crushing it, putting out Get Ready in 2001 and collaborating with Billy Corgan and Bobby Gillespie of Primal Scream. They were given the Godlike Genius award at the 2005 NME awards and got nominated for a Grammy in 2006 for Guilt Is a Useless Emotion. Then things got a bit sour, with Hook leaving the band in 2007 and forming his own outfit Peter Hook and the Light, a band that featured his son Jack and much to his fans delight, revisited the Joy Division and New Order songbooks. Over the course of his career Hook has worked with The Stone Roses, and Perry Farrell, he toured with the Durutti Column, put out albums with Revenge and Monaco and wrote one of the best music books ever: Substance; Inside New Order. This is a partial list, btw. Almost a partial partial list because when it comes to Peter Hook, there's a lot of ground to cover. But these are the basics. Do a deeper dive after you hear the show—the guy is a titan. As for his split with New Order and his boyhood pal Bernard, we don't have time to go over the legal end of that dissolution, so let's just say this. If you're hoping for a reunion you're wasting your good hope energy. Not going to happen. As a bassist, he plays with an authoritative blend of prowl and sting and not only is he one of the all time greats, he also happens to be a nice guy. "Straight From The Hat" The New Jersey born Ben Vaughn has put out close to twenty albums, including personal favorites of mine like Beautiful Thing, Mood Swings and Ben Vaughn Blows Your Mind. Aside from his own records, Vaughn has produced records by Ween, Los Straitjackets, Nancy Sinatra, and Charlie Feathers, had his songs covered by everyone from Marshall Crenshaw to Deer Tick and collaborated with the likes of Alex Chilton, Alan Vega, and Rodney Crowell. Vaughn loves punk and surf and rockabilly and folk and country and the blues, which explains the versatility of his collaborations. And if that wasn't an impressive enough resume, let's add these two career highlights: he penned the themes for both Third Rock From The Sun and That 70's Show. Oh, and he hosts the fabulous radio show The Many Moods of Ben Vaughn. Vaughn's discography demonstrates his musical dexterity, it also showcases his brilliance as a songwriter—filled with humor, wisdom and grace, Vaughn's work is always soulful, introspective and impossible to resist. But here's the thing about Ben Vaughn--he loves music. Whether it's noise rock or doo wop, he just loves taking it all in. And that open mindedness has gotten him in a lot of rooms with a lot of people and it's granted him access to a wealth of experiences. Sin embargo, en un hogar saludable, la obediencia no es una imposición; es el fruto natural de una relación sana. Cuando los padres invierten vida, cuidado y dirección, los hijos responden buscando darles alegría. Ese es la mejor señal de una vida espiritual sana, Jesús lo resumió en Juan 14:23 "Respondió Jesús y le dijo: El que me ama, mi palabra guardará; y mi Padre le amará, y vendremos a él, y haremos morada con él.” Y nos dejó esta promesa: el Padre lo amará, y ambos harán de ese corazón obediente su hogar, su morada eterna.¿Cuál cristiano, qué persona que haya tenido un encuentro genuino con Dios no anhela agradar a Dios? Todos queremos conocer su voluntad y todos queremos agradarlo de muchas maneras. Pero debo decir una cosa, hay muchos grupos, hay muchas religiones donde el agradar a Dios es una agonía; donde agradar a la deidad es una agonía.Hay religiones donde las personas hacen peregrinaciones y sacrificios tremendos solo para tratar de sentir que tienen algún tipo de acceso hacia la deidad. Y ahí el cristianismo es completamente distinto, porque en el cristianismo el amor de Dios conquistó los corazones de aquellos que llamó después sus hijos, no sus siervos, sus hijos. Y en esos hijos nace, por el poder del Espíritu Santo, la obediencia. Porque Él nos amó, nosotros le amamos a Él. ¿Y cómo le amamos? Le obedecemos. Le preguntamos a Dios: ¿qué quieres de mí?, ¿qué anhelas en mi vida?, ¿cómo te puedo agradar en esta área?, ¿cómo te puedo agradar en aquella otra área?Muchos de nosotros, nos damos cuenta que la obediencia no es fácil. Muchas veces cuesta y muchas veces peleamos con nosotros mismos para hacer lo que es correcto y lo que entendemos que Dios quiere, pero Dios cifró toda la obediencia que nosotros podríamos darle como hijos en una sola persona, en el único que podía satisfacer su corazón de padre, el único que podría obedecerlo de manera perfecta: Se llama Jesucristo, Dios hombre. Nada más.Jesucristo es único, es precioso, es perfecto, es el único que tenía la capacidad de venir y obedecer a Dios de manera plena y perfecta, incluso aunque eso significara ir en contra de su comodidad y de su propia vida, porque tuvo que entregarla en una cruz para salvar a los desobedientes, que aunque quisiéramos agradar a Dios no podíamos; y Él, la ofrenda perfecta, el perfecto obediente, lo hizo por nosotros.Dios no tiene expectativas de obediencia de ninguno de nosotros, no las tiene, no podría tenerlas, porque nosotros somos seres humanos que fallan. Por eso Él cifró ese vínculo de obediencia, de amor, en su Hijo, que es el único cuando se hace carne que podría hacerlo; y luego puso a su Hijo en nosotros los que queremos obedecerle, para darnos la gracia y el poder de la obediencia. Así es que aquellos que queramos caminar con Dios en esa relación intima, necesitamos sí o sí ir a través de Jesucristo y tenerlo en el corazón y tener una relación viviente, dinámica, constante, con Jesucristo a través del poder del Espíritu Santo, porque Jesús es la clave de nuestra obediencia.A la luz de esta obediencia perfecta de Jesús, debemos mirar nuestra propia realidad. Y en la Biblia encontramos a David. David es sin duda alguna, uno de los personajes bíblicos más conocidos y más admirados:Es considerado un modelo de valentía por haberse enfrentado al famoso enemigo acérrimo del pueblo de Israel, Goliat, de nacionalidad filistea. Se calcula que David tenía apenas unos quince años cuando enfrentó al gigante.Era virtuoso en la música. Interpretaba un instrumento complejo, el arpa. Poeta, compositor, muy probablemente también tenía una voz muy melódica y cantaba, o sea, que era todo un artista. Sabemos que escribió más de setenta y cinco salmos, el libro más conocido de la Biblia y más citado. Hombre devoto a Dios, líder nato, descrito por el mismo profeta Samuel como un hombre conforme al corazón de Dios.David fue ungido por Samuel luego de que Dios descartara a Saúl por su insubordinación y su desobediencia. Pero David duró quince años para asumir el trono, huyendo de una feroz persecución que desató contra él el rey Saúl. Durante ese tiempo de persecución y de dificultad, Dios prueba a David, Dios desarrolla su liderazgo, Dios hace de la fe de David una fe profunda.Derrotó a todos los enemigos del pueblo de Israel: Antes de su caída, David fue un guerrero incansable. Todos nosotros somos vulnerables ante la tentación. Cuando esto ocurre en la vida de David, él no era un muchacho. Estaba ya consolidado en su reinado, se encontraba en un buen momento de su gobierno. David decidió quedarse en Jerusalén y delegar la guerra. Es en esas condiciones óptimas en que David cae estrepitosamente en el más infame de sus pecados. David cayó cuando estaba "ocioso" en el terrado. El contraste es que mientras su ejército estaba trabajando, él estaba descansando donde no debía. El descuido en la disciplina diaria (como la oración o leer la palabra) es el terreno donde crece la tentación. Esto habla a gran voz de nuestra vulnerabilidad espiritual. Como dice 1 Corintios 10:12: "Así que, el que piensa estar firme, mire que no caiga.”Lección 2 (Natán): Déjate confrontar, recibe la reprensión Si todos podemos caer, todos deberíamos estar dispuestos a ser confrontados. "Fighting Fit" For a little over a delicious decade the London band Gene put out four glorious albums. And since we're here and we have time, let me name them: Olympian, Drawn To The Deep End, Revelations and Libertine. From 1993 to 2004, the band's resume just kept building: They were on the cover of Melody Maker and the NME the latter of who also gave them the inaugural BRAT award for Best New Band, they headlined the Reading Festival, played Glastonbury, toured Europe, Japan and the U.S., logged top twenty singles, put out a killer live album called Rising For Sunset, sold hundreds of thousands of albums and played a legendary sold-out show with a full orchestra at London's Albert Hall. Behind the Welsh- born Martin Rossiter, Gene's crunchy blast of melodic muscle and poetic pounce made them one of the most unforgettable bands around but all good things come to an end and by 2004, the band called it a day. A one-off reunion in 2008 was the only blip on the Gene radar until now. Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Olympian, in October of 2025 all four original members of Gene reconvened at the Apolo in London and blew the place apart and sounding positively ageless. What happened next? Romanos 8:28 “Y sabemos que a los que aman a Dios, todas las cosas les ayudan a bien, esto es, a los que conforme a su propósito son llamados”.Todos, en algún momento, nos enfrentamos a esa pregunta que nos quema por dentro: ¿Qué propósito tiene el dolor o el sufrimiento?¿Qué relación puede tener el sufrimiento, la crisis económica, el vacío emocional la enfermedad, con la posibilidad de tener una “vida en bendición"?A veces el dolor es tan agonizante que nos sentimos perdidos. Y es que, si somos honestos, algo dentro de nosotros nos dice que no fuimos diseñados para padecerlo; no fuimos hechos para la violencia, ni para la escasez, ni para la enfermedad. Por eso nos duele tanto. Pero quiero decirte algo fundamental: aunque el sufrimiento sea inevitable en este mundo, no tiene por qué ser en vano.Hay una diferencia enorme entre sufrir a la deriva y sufrir en las manos de un Padre que es experto en redimir historias. Hoy no quiero darte respuestas fáciles, quiero invitarte a considerar que tu crisis no es el final del camino, sino el lugar donde Dios está trabajando el diseño de tu vida. Quizás hoy te sientes como un pedazo de madera que está siendo cortado y golpeado, o un pedazo de barro en las manos del alfarero, pero no olvides que solo la madera que ha sido ahuecada con cuchillos puede convertirse en un instrumento capaz de emitir la música más dulce y que un pedazo de barro moldeado en las manos de un alfarero puede convertirse en un hermoso jarrón portador de las mas hermosas flores.Vamos a descubrir juntos cómo transformar esa crisis en un canto de esperanza, mirando al único que puede convertir una cruz de tortura en un trono de gloria.Dios no ignora tu dolor y tu sufrimiento, Salmo 34:18 “Cercano está Jehová a los quebrantados de corazón; Y salva a los contritos de espíritu.”La crisis es una herramienta de formación, no de destrucción, Jeremías 18:6 “No podré yo hacer de vosotros como este alfarero, oh casa de Israel? dice Jehová. He aquí que como el barro en la mano del alfarero, así sois vosotros en mi mano, oh casa de Israel”El paso de "por qué a mí" al "para qué, Señor”, Romanos 8:28 “Y sabemos que a los que aman a Dios, todas las cosas les ayudan a bien, esto es, a los que conforme a su propósito son llamados.”Quiero contarte una historia que registra la Bíblia en el libro de Génesis y que va e enseñarnos lo que hace Dios para transformar nuestras crisis en canto de esperanza:Génesis 37:4 (RVR1960) "Y viendo sus hermanos que su padre lo amaba más que a todos sus hermanos, le aborrecían, y no podían hablarle pacíficamente."Si hiciéramos un manual sobre lo que no se debe hacer al fundar un hogar, el primer capítulo del manual tendría que llamarse "El Método Jacob". Con todo el respeto que el patriarca nos inspira, su árbol genealógico era muy cuestionable.Jacob se casa con la mujer que no eligió, ni amó; y tuvo que esperar 7 años más de arduo trabajo para un total de 14 años, para casarse con la mujer que amaba: Raquel.Como Raquel no podía tener hijos y Lea sí, los hijos empezaron a crecer bajo la presión de la envidia. Para no quedarse atrás, Jacob terminó sumando a la mezcla a las criadas y concubinas, hasta que su casa se llenó de hijos que crecieron bajo la sombra de la rivalidad.Cuando por fin nace José, hijo de Raquel, la que amaba, Jacob no ve a un hijo más, ve a un favorito que etiquetó frente a sus hermanos con una túnica de colores. El final es bastante triste: Benjamín (Benoní) llega al mundo, pero Raquel muere, dejando a un Jacob viudo, con el corazón en pedazos y una bomba de tiempo llamada "familia”.“Cierra la boca”Hay una línea muy delgada entre ser un visionario y ser el hermano que nadie quiere y que todos envidian, y José cruzó esa línea delgada. Una mañana cualquiera, José llega a contar que tuvo un sueño, donde los manojos de trigo de todos sus hermanos se arrodillaban ante el suyo; Al poco tiempo vuelve con el segundo sueño: ahora el sol, la luna y las estrellas también le hacían una reverencia. José cometió el error de creer que sus hermanos eran hermanos especiales, cuando en realidad eran sus más grandes rivales.Génesis 37:4 (RVR1960) "Y viendo sus hermanos que su padre lo amaba más que a todos sus hermanos, le aborrecían, y no podían hablarle pacíficamente."A veces, en el afán de compartir nuestras victorias, olvidamos una verdad incómoda: la mayoría de la gente tiene la empatía suficiente para llorar contigo en el medio del dolor, pero muy pocos tienen la madurez para aplaudirte cuando estás obteniendo éxito.Como bien dice el axioma: "Planifica en secreto y celebra solo cuando el éxito hable por ti". Porque a veces, compartir el sueño antes de tiempo solo sirve para despertar la envidia al enemigo.Proverbios 21:23 (RVR1960) "El que guarda su boca y su lengua, su alma guarda de angustias."“El favorito”Si lo de los sueños fue el detonante, el regalo que Jacob dio a José fue la pólvora. Jacob no solo amaba más a José, sino que se encargó de que el favoritismo tuviera una túnica de mil colores.Mientras los diez hermanos mayores se partían el lomo bajo el sol, con la piel curtida y las manos llenas de callos, José se quedaba en la carpa bajo la sombra. Jacob lo trataba como a al niño mimado de su casa, mientras los demás se sentían rechazados por un padre complaciente.En un mundo donde la ropa de trabajo era rústica, Jacob decide vestir al hijo número once con una prenda multicolor, esta prenda de vestir era una declaración de nuevos principios. Jacob estaba nombrando "primogénito" al penúltimo hijo, saltándose todas las reglas de la época. Cada vez que los hermanos levantaban la vista del arado y veían ese destello de colores a lo lejos, el menosprecio en sus corazones no solo crecía sino que la envidia carcomía sus almas.El favoritismo es una forma silenciosa de sembrar odio, Jacob pensaba que estaba honrando a un hijo, pero en realidad estaba pintando un blanco en la espalda de José.Proverbios 18:19 (LBLA) "El hermano ofendido es más difícil de ganar que una ciudad fortificada, y las contiendas son como cerrojos de fortaleza"De color a monocromáticoLa tensión que Jacob sembró y que José alimentó, finalmente explotó en el lugar más peligroso: lejos de la mirada del padre. En pleno campo abierto, los hermanos pasaron de los pensamientos oscuros a la acción maquiavélica.José, un muchacho de apenas diecisiete años, es emboscado por su propia sangre, le arrancan esa túnica que tanto odiaban, lo atan y lo lanzan al fondo de una cisterna vacía. Mientras José, allá abajo, luchaba contra la claustrofobia y el terror de ser abandonado, arriba sus hermanos se sentaron a comer ignorando los gritos de auxilio de su hermano, eran crueles hasta tal punto que decidieron inventar una mentira manchada de sangre: "Diremos que una mala bestia lo devoró". Lo que no sabían es que la verdadera "mala bestia" era la envidia que ya se los había devorado a ellos por dentro.Para José, el foso era un agujero físico en la tierra. Para ti, el foso puede tener otros nombres: Un diagnóstico médico nefasto, un despido con créditos...

I was especially inspired by the rhythmic, stereo qualities of the traffic sounds. Their sound texture gave me new inspiration every time I listened to them.The reimagined piece is nostalgic and dreamy. I was really focused on the storytelling aspect, in a kind of post-cinematographic way. The composition is built partly from « tape music » using the original recording, then layered with two modular parts and a drum kit for the “heavy” section.The clicks of the pedestrian crossing are rhythmically inspiring, and the sounds of the tram doors feel like classical instruments, almost like violins. It was a real joy to play over them.My modular noise part is played with a strong focus on improvisation and co-creation with the instrument. “Y aquel varón Moisés era muy manso, más que todos los hombres que había sobre la tierra” Números 12:3.Hoy vamos a hablar de un tema tan común que hemos llegado a normalizarlo: la furia, el enojo y la irritación. A veces la vemos como algo pasajero o una simple "forma de ser", pero la Biblia nos muestra que es un peligro latente que puede destruir nuestro presente y nuestro futuro.La furia, el enojo y la irritación es traicionera, aparece sin que la llamemos; nadie pide una partícula de ira para enfrentar a alguien. Simplemente aparece, lista para dañarlo todo.La Bíblia habla de un hombre llamado Moisés, en él siempre hubo una lucha constante con el carácter agresivo, encontramos a un Moisés iracundo y altamente reactivo; un hombre que, por momentos, era dominado por la furia, el enojo y la irritación.Le voy a mostrar un versículo que me parece increíble de algo que no se debe hacer. Mire lo que es capaz de provocar la ira en Éxodo 32:19: "Y aconteció que cuando él llegó al campamento, y vio el becerro y las danzas, ardió la ira de Moisés, y arrojó las tablas de sus manos, y las quebró al pie del monte" Éxodo 32:19. Tu no eres sincero, tu eres grosero, y eso es distinto. Tu puedes ser sincero sin herir ni golpear con tus palabras, por tal razón no confundamos la furia, el enojo y la irritación con algo pasajero; estamos olvidándonos del carácter de Cristo en nosotros. Hay mucha gente con influencia, pero sin carácter.Cuando aparece la furia, el enojo y la irritación, algunos tiemblan, otros se ponen rojos, otros hacen sonidos extraños: Gruñen. El cuerpo reacciona: los gestos, los ojos, las miradas y, qué decir de las palabras que vienen a romper y acabar con la vida de otro. Por eso puedo decir on toda la certeza que la furia, el enojo y la irritación es traicionera; no la subestime.El perfil de un hombre transformadoPara entender esto, miremos la vida de Moisés. La Biblia nos da un reporte final de su carácter en un momento de su vida: "Y aquel varón Moisés era muy manso, más que todos los hombres que había sobre la tierra" Números 12:3 es un testimonio asombroso, pero Moisés no nació así, su mansedumbre fue el resultado de un proceso largo y doloroso con Dios. La furia, el enojo y la irritación no es algo que se maneja de forma ligera; es traicionera, aparece sin que la llamemos y está lista para dañarlo todo.Las características y el funcionamiento de la furia, el enojo y la irritaciónLa furia, el enojo y la irritación no pide permiso para entrar. Cuando aparece, toma el control de nuestro cuerpo, alma y espíritu: (ministración de perdón con la familia, los hijos…)El secuestro cerebral: Científicamente, cuando nos airamos, la amígdala cerebral (La amígdala cerebral es una estructura en forma de almendra en el lóbulo temporal, crucial para procesar emociones “especialmente miedo y ansiedad”, la memoria emocional, la atención y la cognición social) toma el mando. Esta es la parte impulsiva que activa el modo de lucha o huida. En ese instante, se le quita el control a la parte ejecutiva del cerebro, la que nos hace pensar, saludar y ser empático.La distorsión del otro: Bajo el efecto de la furia, el enojo y la irritación, la amígdala nos hace ver a quien tenemos enfrente —ya sea un hijo, un cónyuge o un amigo— como un enemigo al que debemos eliminar o humillar.La manifestación física: El cuerpo reacciona; temblores, rostros rojos, miradas de odio y palabras que salen para romper la vida del otro. La furia, el enojo y la irritación no muestra lo que te molesta, muestra lo que te gobierna.Las consecuencias de la furia, el enojo y la irritación: Moisés tuvo varios episodios donde la furia, el enojo y la irritación le trajo consecuencias graves, y nosotros debemos aprender de ellos:Destruye lo que Dios hizo: En Éxodo 32:19, Moisés, ardiendo en ira, rompió las tablas de la ley que el mismo dedo de Dios había escrito. Arruinó una obra sagrada en un momento de arrebato. Ese momento de desobediencia impulsiva le costó no entrar a la tierra prometida.Crea heridas irreparables: Hay cosas que se pueden perdonar, pero no se pueden sanar fácilmente. Un insulto en un momento de rabia puede dejar una marca que dure años. La furia, el enojo y la irritación nos hace cruzar límites que después lamentamos. ¿Cuántas cosas nos está costando la ira a nosotros? ¿El amor de tus hijos? ¿El respeto de tu pareja?El proceso de la furia, el enojo y la irritación a la mansedumbreMoisés comenzó su historia siendo un hombre violento, en Éxodo 2:11-12 “En aquellos días sucedió que crecido ya Moisés, salió a sus hermanos, y los vio en sus duras tareas, y observó a un egipcio que golpeaba a uno de los hebreos, sus hermanos. Entonces miró a todas partes, y viendo que no parecía nadie, mató al egipcio y lo escondió en la arena”; Era reactivo, se metía en peleas ajenas, Éxodo 2:17 “Mas los pastores vinieron y las echaron de allí; entonces Moisés se levantó y las defendió, y dio de beber a sus ovejas” y su temperamento era explosivo y hostil e Incluso como líder llegó a airarse profundamente contra los rebeldes, Números 16:15 “Entonces Moisés se enojó en gran manera, y dijo a Jehová: No mires a su ofrenda; ni aun un asno he tomado de ellos, ni a ninguno de ellos he hecho mal”.Sin embargo, Dios estuvo dispuesto a acompañarlo en su proceso. Él no lo llamó cuando aún era violento, porque Moisés no poseía la mansedumbre necesaria para el liderazgo, a pesar de sus fallas, Dios trabajó en su carácter por 40 años hasta llamarlo el hombre más manso de la tierra; y es que Dios sabe trabajar con nuestro carácter. Si Él trabajó en aquel hombre impulsivo hasta convertirlo en el más manso de la tierra, también lo hará con cada uno de nosotros. Cristo cambia lo que el hombre no puede cambiar. Por lo tanto, no viniste aquí porque seas perfecto; estamos aquí porque el Maestro está dispuesto a formarnos día tras día. Aun con tus errores, Dios los usará para Su gloria.Esto nos enseña que:Dios es experto en formar el carácter.Él puede hacer del hombre más iracundo el más tranquilo.La cruz de Cristo tiene la respuesta para transformar nuestro temperamento.Ministración:Hoy te pregunto: ¿Qué te está costando tu furia, tu enojo y tu irritación? ¿El respeto de tus hijos? ¿La paz de tu hogar? "Scala" It's hard to explain everything Barry Adamson did before he was thirty. By then, his resume' was so packed with highlights it was hard to believe there was room for more. But there was. Like, a lot more. Let me explain. The Manchester-born Barry Adamson got his start in music in the late '70s by playing bass for Magazine, a band led by ex-Buzzcock Howard DeVoto. Adamson, who was briefly in the Buzzcocks himself, went on to play with Visage and Luxuria before joining Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Adamson played on legendary Cave albums like From Her To Eternity and Kicking Against The Pricks and from there, he stepped into the Iggy Pop fold and toured with Mr. Pop in '87. By then, Adamson was close to thirty and in many ways, that's the point where he really started to spread his musical wings, realizing he liked being on his own than being one of the guys in a band. From there, Adamson started to explore electronic and dub-fueled soundscapes and he moved effortlessly from strength to strength, releasing classic solo albums like Moss Side Story, the 1992 Mercury Prize nominated Soul Murder and his new one, La Scala. More on that in a minute. Over the course of his winning career, Adamson has played with The Birthday, Party, collaborated with everyone from Pulp's Jarvis Crocker to Billy McKenzie of the Associates, contributed to movie soundtracks like David Lynch's Lost Highway and done remixes for everyone from Depeche Mode to The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. His new album La Scala is the original score for the 2023 documentary Scala!!! Or, The Incredibly Strange Rise And Fall Of The World's Wildest Cinema. Salmos 107:20 “Envió su palabra, y los sanó, Y los libró de su ruina.”Quiero que me preste atención y escuche lo que le voy a decir. Hay algo que he aprendido es  encontrar fortaleza en la palabra del Señor. ¿Por qué? Porque cuando tu fortaleza está en el hombre o en las circunstancias, realmente tu fortaleza se vuelve vulnerable. Porque el hombre falla, porque las circunstancias cambian, porque poner nuestra confianza en cosas es lo más equivocado que podemos hacer, mientras que, el que se agarra de la palabra puede estar seguro de esto: cielo y tierra pasarán, pero su palabra nunca pasará. Mateo 24:35 “El cielo y la tierra pasarán, pero mis palabras no pasarán”.Lo que te quiero decir es, si lo dice Dios en su palabra, puedes estar seguro que, pase lo que pase, él lo va a cumplir. Pero escuche, justo el versículo que vamos a leer ahora, para mí ha sido un lugar, un ancla, ha sido un sostén muchas veces en mi vida, así que seguramente cuando lo escuches lo vas a recordar, porque para los que han leído la Biblia o han escuchado la palabra con frecuencia, les va a resonar como un versículo conocido. Dice la palabra del Señor así: Jeremías 29:11-14 "Porque yo sé los pensamientos que tengo acerca de vosotros, dice Jehová, pensamientos de paz, y no de mal, para daros el fin que esperáis. Entonces me invocaréis, y vendréis y oraréis a mí, y yo os oiré; y me buscaréis y me hallaréis, porque me buscaréis de todo vuestro corazón. Y seré hallado por vosotros, dice Jehová, y haré volver vuestra cautividad, y os reuniré de todas las naciones y de todos los lugares adonde os arrojé, dice Jehová; y os haré volver al lugar de donde os hice transportar."Dios está diciendo: "Mis planes son mejores que los tuyos". Y esta palabra, a mí me ha sostenido muchas veces, pero el problema de las promesas es que somos especialistas en agarrarnos de la promesa y olvidar la condición o el proceso alrededor de la promesa. Y eso hace mucho daño, porque toda promesa está ligada a un proceso. Lo vuelvo a repetir: toda promesa está ligada a un proceso. La promesa es a donde Dios te va a llevar, y el proceso es el paso a paso, es el camino mediante el cual Dios te va a llevar. Cuando nosotros ignoramos el proceso, nos frustramos, nos desesperamos, nos afanamos y llegamos a creer que Dios no nos va a cumplir.Quiero traer a memoria la historia de José, creo que es un de los ejemplos mas claros de lo que estamos hablando hoy:José no solo tuvo sueños de grandeza; recibió un diseño de Dios que incluso su padre Jacob, en su sabiduría, supo identificar. La Biblia en Génesis 37:11 dice “Y sus hermanos le tenían envidia, mas su padre meditaba en esto”, Jacob sabía que lo que José veía no era producto de la imaginación, sino una asignación del cielo.Antes de que José gobernara Egipto, la palabra que Dios le dio, tuvo que "trabajar" en él; Veamos el Salmo 105:16-19 “Trajo hambre sobre la tierra, y quebrantó todo sustento de pan. Envió un varón delante de ellos; A José, que fue vendido por siervo. Afligieron sus pies con grillos; En cárcel fue puesta su persona. Hasta la hora que se cumplió su palabra, el dicho de Jehová le probó”; El proceso de José “la cisterna, la casa de Potifar, la cárcel” no fue un desvío del plan, fue el cumplimiento del plan. En la cisterna, Dios mató su orgullo; en la casa de Potifar, Dios probó su integridad; y en la cárcel, Dios probó su paciencia. Dios no te va a sentar en el trono hasta que la promesa te haya procesado.El Secreto de su Resistencia se encuentra en la palabra profética que Jacob declaró sobre José al final de sus días. Esto explica por qué José no se quebró en los 13 años de esclavitud:Desde que José fue echado en la cisterna y vendido como esclavo hasta que fue nombrado gobernador de Egipto, transcurrieron exactamente 13 años, trece años donde Dios no le habló en sueños, pero estuvo con él en silencio, fue el tiempo necesario para que la túnica de colores se convirtiera en un carácter de acero.El inicio del proceso (17 años): José era un adolescente cuando sus hermanos lo vendieron. "Esta es la historia de la familia de Jacob: José, siendo de edad de diecisiete años, apacentaba las ovejas con sus hermanos..." Génesis 37:2.El final del proceso (30 años): José sale de la cárcel para interpretar el sueño y es exaltado al trono. "Era José de edad de treinta años cuando fue presentado delante de Faraón rey de Egipto; y salió José de delante de Faraón, y recorrió toda la tierra de Egipto." Génesis 41:46.”Rama fructífera es José, Rama fructífera junto a una fuente, Cuyos vástagos se extienden sobre el muro. Le causaron amargura, Le tiraron flechas, Y le aborrecieron los arqueros; Mas su arco se mantuvo poderoso, Y los brazos de sus manos se fortalecieron Por las manos del Fuerte de Jacob..." Génesis 49:22-24José pudo mantenerse firme porque, aunque estaba en la sequedad de Egipto, sus raíces estaban junto a la Fuente.El arco de José se mantuvo poderoso porque sus manos fueron fortalecidas por las manos del Fuerte de Jacob, “Dios, Jehová de los ejércitos es su nombre”.El punto más alto de la vida de José no fue cuando se puso el anillo del Faraón, sino cuando pudo mirar a quienes lo hirieron y ver la mano de Dios a través de ellos. El proceso fue tan perfecto que no dejó rastro de amargura, solo rastro de propósito. Hay capítulos tristes en nuestras familias: violencia, rechazo, abandono. Hay voces en nuestro subconsciente que nos dicen: "Eres estúpido", "Eres bruto", "No sirves para nada”.José lloró siete veces. No lloró cuando lo promovieron, sino cuando vio que sus hermanos se arrepentían. El perdón no minimiza la justicia; la delega a Dios.¿Quieres ajustar cuentas con tus enemigos? Ese es trabajo de Dios. Él es experto en poner de rodillas a los soberbios y en suavizar a los coléricos. Tu trabajo es no contaminar tu corazón, para que cuando los que te despreciaron vengan con hambre, tú tengas los graneros abiertos.Al final del camino, José declara la verdad más profunda de la providencia divina, enmarcado en Génesis 50:20 ”Vosotros pensasteis mal contra mí, mas Dios lo encaminó a bien, para hacer lo que vemos hoy, para mantener en vida a mucho pueblo”.Nada de lo que ocurre en nuestras vidas es en vano. Dios no permite que te hirieran para destruirte, sino para enviarte delante de otros y preservar vida. Tu proceso no es solo tuyo; es para los que vienen detrás de ti.Cuando entendemos que Dios tiene pensamientos de paz para nosotros (Jeremías 29:11), dejamos de buscar desesperadamente el milagro y empezamos a buscar al Dios del milagro, el cual cuando envía una Palabra, la Palabra que envía, se cumple."José tuvo que pasar por el silencio de la cárcel para poder interpretar el sueño del Faraón. Si José se hubiera saltado el proceso, no habría sabido administrar la abundancia. Tu temporada difícil no es un castigo, es tu entrenamiento para la posición que Dios ya escribió de ti en la eternidad.”De todo esto salen tres principios que debemos aprender de memoria:No rechaces la temporada difícilNosotros estamos llenos de optimismo, y el optimismo que más preocupa es el optimismo que niega la realidad. ¿Y qué si llega la crisis? ¿Y qué si la enfermedad toca tu cuerpo? ¿Y qué si es el mismo Dios el que está permitiendo que eso suceda? Miren la instrucción tan profunda que Dios les dio a los que estaban en el cautiverio en Babilonia. En lugar de prometerles un escape inmediato, les dio una estrategia para su temporada difícil: «Edifiquen casas y habiten en ellas; planten huertos y coman...

"The Bus Routes Of South London" The London-born Jah Wobble is one of the most legendary musicians on the planet. The celebrated bassist burst onto the radar with PiL, playing on the first two albums--Public Image: First Issue and Metal Box--both of which remain undisputed classics. After leaving the band, Wobble stayed busy, playing in The Human Condition and on the Snake Charmer EP with The Edge and with his own band Invaders Of The Heart. Wobble left the industry for a few years working for a while with The London Underground--more on that in a minute--but in the late '80s a newly sober Wobble reformed the Invaders and they put out a string of winning albums like Rising Above Bedlam and Take Me To God. And from there? Well, from there, he just kept working with a list of impressive folks like Sinead O'Connor, The Orb, Ginger Baker, Dolores O'Riordan, Massive Attack, Gavin Friday, Brian Eno, Bjork and Primal Scream. Wobble has also put out a memoir called Memoirs Of A Geezer, which is such a great read, he finished his university degree at the University of London, wrote book reviews for the Independent, wrote a book of poetry, started teaching, played in a band with his sons, and played with the Chinese Dub Orchestra. This list only tells a percentage of the story; Jah Wobble is a man whose lane is not having a lane. He's one of the greatest dub musicians of all time, but he's also someone who's curious about the world and his curiosity has found him exploring ambient music, dance usic, post-punk, world music, dub, Chinese folk, English Folk, and industrial music. His album Old Fashioned Ways with reggae hero Ken Boothe came out in 2025 and it's a glorious and affecting listen. "Measure Of A Man" The North Carolina-born Clay Aiken rose to fame on the strength of his record breaking appearance on American Idol, but if you just think of him in terms of that show, you're not getting the full picture. At all. With seven albums under his belt, the golden-voiced Aiken has sold close to ten million albums worldwide, was the first artist whose first single hit #1, hosted two network television specials, toured with Kelly Clarkson, appeared on Broadway in Spamalot and for a Christmas show with Ruben Studdard, wrote a memoir, sang the National Anthem at the World Series, and appeared on Scrubs, SNL, Jimmy Kimmel, All My Children and Days Of Our Lives. Keep in mind this is a partial list. Outside of music, Aiken co-founded the National Inclusion Project which helps advocate for children with disabilities, he's a UNICEF ambassador and in 2014 he ran for congress. “Merry Christmas, Emily” David Lowery does so many things, his CV needs a sequel. He's a professor, a mathematician, a writer, a musician, a producer and an entrepreneur. He's also the singer of two of my all-time favorite bands: Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven. Let's start with the former. Lowery formed Camper Van Beethoven when he was a student at UC Santa Cruz in the early '80s. I was so obsessed with Camper Van when I was in high school I cut class to buy their new album--but I had the wrong day, so I cut class the next day to get it. Totally worth it, by the way. Camper Van Beethoven put out a handful of genius albums likeOur Beloved Revolutionary Sweetheart and Telephone Free Landslide Victory before temporarily disbanding in 1990. Lowery didn't miss a beat and formed Cracker with guitarist Johnny Hickman and they put out a handful of genius albums like Kerosene Hat and The Golden Age, logged a #1 Modern Rock track with "Teen Angst (What The World Needs Now)" and scored three platinum albums. This is only a partial history, by the way; but I would recommend reading up on both bands because they have fascinating histories.Lowery has produced everyone from Counting Crows to Sparklehorse, founded Sound of Music studios, was a seed investor in Reverb.com (), knocked out his PhD and was named a Global IP Champion by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. A ferocious advocate for artist's rights, among other things, Lowery launched a pair of class actions alleging major streaming services had failed to properly license and account to independent songwriters. Lowery currently teaches the economics and finance of the music business at the University of Georgia.An authentic career-spanning collection that boasts re-recordings, demos, b-sides and live takes that have never been heard, ‘Alternative History: A Cracker Retrospective' is out now. It's a deep and privileged dive into the rich and vast Cracker cataloge and to say it's a treat falls short of the mark. It's a musical treasure chest.
