Paul says, that's what our lives are to be. Perfume is beautiful. It's treasured. It fills the senses. It revives us. It beautifies us. This perfume Paul's talking about goes even further. It gives life. This life giving perfume never evaporates or dissipates over time. Once poured out, it grows and multiplies. It fills the room. It fills the world. Its fragrance spreads through time, and it gives life to each new generation, each new civilization. This is eternal life giving perfume. It has been poured out on us, and we are to pour it out on others. On this Good Friday, we remember that God's life giving perfume was poured out in the life of our Lord Jesus upon the whole Earth as he hung from the cross, he gave himself so that he might offer radical forgiveness for all, that he might suffer on behalf of all, that that fragrant life would beautify all. So this day, may the spirit of Christ, the fragrance of his life, emanate from our souls into this world. May others be awakened to the fragrant life, the self giving, radically forgiving, co suffering life of our lord. May we all be awakened to this life that is ours in him today. And that's the prayer that I have for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose  through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen.   Oh God you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after you, and find you.
