Iraqi war veteran Chase Massner was missing from his Georgia home for 3 years when Nancy Grace launched Crime Stories and started digging into the mystery of the young husband and father's disappearance. After visiting with Chase's mother and wife, Nancy knocked on a cheap motel room door in Atlanta to grill Brad Clement, the last person known to have seen Massner. That interview helped cold case detectives find Massner buried under a slab of concrete in the home once owned by Clement. Now, Clement has pleaded guilty to lying about Massner's death and hiding his remains.

In March of 2014, 26-year old Chase Massner disappeared from a friend's home. Chase, an Iraqi war veteran who lived in Canton, Georgia. Struggling to make ends meet and provide for his family, Chase took a job at a Quik-Trip in Kennesaw, located just a mile or so away from one of Chase's friends named Brad Clement. Chase and his wife, Amanda, had been having issues in the months before Chase's disappearance. Constant financial pressure put a strain on their relationship, and Chase was spending less time with both her and their two daughters. In the days before his disappearance, he had been spending time with his mother, Stephanie Cadena. On March 27th, Amanda dropped Chase off in Kennesaw. He went to stay the night with his friend, Brad. By Brad's own recollection, Chase was looking for a drug known as roxicodone. The next day, March 28th, Chase was gone. The first 4 episodes introduced you to Stephanie Cadena, Chase’s mother, and Brad Clement, the friend who was the last known person to see Chase before he vanished 3 years ago. The person you have not heard from yet is Amanda Massner, Chase’s wife. This is unfortunate, since, Brad said some pretty bad things about Amanda when Nancy Grace confronted him in episodes 3 & 4. We still hold out hope the Amanda will talk to us directly, but until then, we can let you hear what Amanda said in the first weeks after her husband went missing.
