Time to go home.”People will make a big deal over anything they can these days, because manufactured outrage sells. What a time to be alive.—Speaking of manufactured outrage, the dumbest of the dumb people on the planet got mad at SNL writer Colin Jost for insinuating alcoholic Pete Hegseth was drunk on the job. These, of course, are the exact same people who were extremely forgiving of Hegseth using a non-secure app to share war plans, and having a reporter in on the chat with him and his idiot coworkers.(These dumb people, the outraged, are also fine with people lying under oath. Funny, that.)A side discussion involves the fact Saturday Night Live has always been consistently average. Never great, never awful, just… “there.”—They're here! They're ruining the economy! Something that rhymes here and that's pithy and catchy!(Forgive me, I was trying to do a play on the whole, “We're here, we're queer, get used to it!”)Well, Donald “I bankrupted multiple businesses, and a casino” Trump is doing his best to bankrupt America.Anyone with an IQ above that of a turnip can see it, which is why you see his minions defending the loss of trillions of dollars in the stock market.—Because no one in the NFL seems able to duplicate the “tush push” as well as the Eagles, several teams are trying to have it banned.Because that's easier than drawing up a plan to defend against it, apparently. What a sissy nation we're in… football is supposed to be a combination of rough and tumble manliness, and strategy. And yet, here we are, with the Green Bay Packers (my team!) leading the charge to go crybaby over it.Boo, I say. Boo.Side discussion: a very clever (sarcasm) commenter tries calling us “groomers,” which leads to a discussion on what the term even means anymore.(Also: nathan's son pops in to talk about going swimming.)—What is the difference between slander/libel, and free speech?Pat McAfee might be finding out, soon.Mary Kate Cornett, of Mississippi, is suing McAfee, because he told the story of an internet rumor on air.McAfee never named Mary Kate, but she says the sheer fact he brought up the rumor associated with her was enough.Fascinating stuff… What will the courts say?—Corey Booker breaks records!Good on Booker for standing up for the people of America, and putting to rest a record previously held by Strom “Biggest racist, ever” Thurmond.I'm not sure if it's funny, sad, or both, that the two longest speeches in the Senate were by a-holes trying to keep the country crappy.Strom Thurmond wanted a more racist America, and Ted Cruz didn't want people to get healthcare.Well, Booker is the new winner, and he did it better than either of those other two idiots.—Connivence Store chain Quik Trip is getting into the alcohol game. Specifically, the beer market.Given that Miller seems to have given up the catchphrase, “It's Miller time,” regarding the beer you drink once you're off work, Quik Trip is going sideways with, “Quittin' Time.”You're done with work, so grab a brew to forget about how much you hate your job.Idiots on Parade: we mock the news, so you don't have to.Tune in and get your giggle on.Find Jake at @jakeveveraFind nathan at nathantimmel.com

This episode of the Concierge Coaches Show has Bruce has special guest, Dave Walker. Dave is on the A&E show, "The First 48," and has decades of experience with law enforcement. Dave explains how working in a detective unit is like a baseball team; each person has a role, and you can't have too many of one person. They rely on each other and must have good chemistry. Dave goes over the show's impact on the city and how politicians and other inhabitants handle the fame from the show. Bruce asks Dave about some of the cases from the show, including his favorite and least favorite cases. One recurring place from the show is a QuikTrip; Bruce and Dave talk about the different cases and the nearby homeless shelter. Dave is now retired from the Tulsa Police Department and is currently working with Human Rights organizations and working on writing a book. Bruce talks to Dave about writing his book, and they continue discussing the show and law enforcement. A great episode for casual and die-hard fans of "The First 48", it is also full of behind-the-scenes work for the show. Curne's Porsche rear-ended one car, causing a chain reaction. The deputy's hand was severely injured in the collision. Curne refused a breath sample and field sobriety tests but showed signs of intoxication. He claimed to have had one glass of wine hours before the crash. Curne faces charges including serious injury by vehicle and driving under the influence and has been released on bond. STORY 2: Woman Escapes Carjacker at QuikTrip Akeem Thrasher, 39, allegedly broke into a woman's car at a Smyrna gas station, causing her to fear for her life. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. at a QuikTrip on Windy Hill Road. Thrasher entered through the passenger door and stared at the woman disturbingly. She managed to escape, and Thrasher has been charged with hijacking a motor vehicle and criminal trespassing. Thrasher has a long criminal history dating back to 2008, including charges of robbery, aggravated assault, and strangulation. He is currently held in the Cobb jail without bond. Astoria Redhead aka Mandy Fisher joins us! As a child actor, Mandy was invested in the theater and film scene in Atlanta, Georgia. At the time, there were only a handful of girls her age doing voiceover. One day while at school, her mom pulled her out of class and took her to the studio where she was told she was going to be recording a national radio commercial. She had never done anything like this before. After the initial nerves, she let loose and just had fun being herself. That set off a career trajectory that she never anticipated. And she never looked back. Since then she has worked with companies like Audible, Kohls, Macy's, Disney, SquareSpace, QuikTrip, Crayola, WholeFoods and many more. In addition, she also coaches people pursuing their Voice Over dreams and has started her own podcast, Disaster Human. Her passion for voiceover and genuine love of helping people inspire her to work with actors of all stages of their career. With a theater background, she brings her training to guide copy analysis and character creation. As an industry vet of 15 years, she has witnessed the changes and understands the ebbs and flows of the business. Mandy created her own voice over business from the ground up and has a successful and replicable model to help actors build their own successful businesses. All of this adds up to a coach who can provide audition and career advice while helping actors become the best they can be! She truly has so many amazing tips, you don't want to miss it!Support the showFollow all the Chaos - Website - https://www.keepingupwithchaos.net/ FB - https://www.facebook.com/keepingupwithchaospodcastIG - https://www.instagram.com/keeping_up_with_chaos/
