Jake Diebler is the Head Men's Basketball at the Ohio State University. He has been with the Buckeyes for a total of eight seasons. He was a video coordinator with the program from 2014-16 and then returned as an assistant coach prior to the 2019-20 season. He was promoted to associate head coach before the 2021-22 season and then was named interim head coach on Feb. 14, 2024. The first Ohioan to be Ohio State's head coach in 35 years, Diebler led the Buckeyes to a 6-2 record in his time as the interim head coach. Following the Big Ten Tournament, Diebler was named the full time head coach and led the Buckeyes to the quarterfinals of the NIT. Overall, Diebler amassed an 8-3 record as head coach at the end of the 2023-24 season. Jake began his coaching career at Valparaiso with Bryce Drew from 2009-2013. He also worked for Drew at Vanderbilt from 2016-2019. As a player Jake holds the all-time Ohio high school career records in both assists (835) and steals (578). Scott Drew is the head coach at Baylor University and won the 2021 NCAA men's basketball national championship.
