BT & Sal dive into the hot stove free agency odds, starting a fierce debate on the line between fan passion and financial "prudence." They discuss potential landing spots for Alex Bregman, Bo Bichette, Cody Bellinger, and Kyle Tucker, with Sal arguing the Yankees must focus on Bellinger or target a perfect trade fit like Steven Kwan to truly improve. The biggest argument centers on Pete Alonso and the Mets. Sal believes Pete's market will be robust, while BT declares his first conversation with Alonso would be a non-negotiable stipulation: he must agree to be a bulk DH to prioritize the team's defense ("DH or GTFO!"). They conclude that if the Mets impose this restriction, teams like the Red Sox and Phillies will likely swoop in, making an Alonso departure a real possibility.
