Post Show Recaps: LIVE TV & Movie Podcasts with Rob Cesternino
In this eighth chapter of the journey, Zed and Adam go to Wutai (sorry Adam) and reach the end of disc one (SORRY ADAM). If you want to play along while you listen to the podcast journey, “Final Fantasy VII” is available on various platforms: Nintendo Switch, PS4, Steam and even the original PSX version, assuming you, like Zed, still have an old-school system. Coming up next week, we beat the summer heat with a trip to Icicle Inn and the Great Glacier. The post Final Fantasy 7 Again Part 8: End of Disc One appeared first on PostShowRecaps.com.

We made it to Disc 2! We look at the pros and cons of our drafted parties thus far. We strap on our virtual snowboards and talk about the chore that is the Great Glacier. Then, we exasperatedly ask: ‘Another Nibelheim flashback, Squaresoft? Really?' At least this one contains yet more heroics from martial arts coach Zangan. This leads us to discuss the physical properties of Sephiroth which makes our brains hurt. Then, it's on to death row in Junon for Tifa and Barrett; what in the hell seafaring ‘Weapon' is killed by Shinra's missiles? We certainly don't know. Eaaaaaaagh! Waaaah! That's right, it's ‘Highwind' time! Lastly, we investigate Cloud's 27th breakdown, which we decide to dub, “Mideel Meltdown”.
Aang and his friends cross the final stretch to reach the South Pole portal, but an unexpected run-in delays them. Meanwhile, Haru meets a fellow earthbender while walking around the city- but when he tells the others about his encounter, turmoil ensues. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/atla-distorted-reality/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/atla-distorted-reality/support

Earth is a dangerous place, as we all know. With global warming a reality, it feels like we're on the cusp of an eco-horror movement. This week, Dread Media has a new and a classic example for you. First up, the thaw releases hybrid monsters from the Blood Glacier. Then, in a brand new Stay Scary, Talia Shire deals with a mutant bear in 1979's Prophecy. Let's tie ourselves to a tree and sing these songs: "Global Warning" by Voivod, "At the Foot of the Great Glacier" by 3 Inches of Blood, "The Wait" by Killing Joke, and "Mourning of the Earth" by ASG.
