Become a patron: https://www.patreon.com/bikinidiaries Hope Harper started competing 4 years ago. Before she embarked on the sport of bodybuilding, she was an Allstar cheerleader. In her later years she obtained the title of captain of her division one collegiate cheerleading team. Hope is not only a captain of her cheer team, she is also a personal trainer at the UFC Gym in Reno and a coach for team Absolute Physiques. She accomplished this all before the age of 21. In this episode we talk about the differences she faced when beginning bikini competitions. What was different about her training? What were the changes in her diet? What exercises in cheer helped her to build a good foundational physique? You will find out in this episode. Although Hope has a fantastic body, She really shares how much she used to train before she even started competing to build her physique to the level she wanted. She is a wonderful example of what can happen after years of consistency. Key Takeaways A true test of character isn't how you are on your best days, but how you are on your worst days. Focus on why you started and what keeps you going, because you won’t always be motivated See a show before you start competing You must be patient with how your body will respond Find what works best for you Always be grateful Be focused and consistent with yourself LetsGetChecked trylgc.com/bikini use code Bikin20 for 20% off your test! What does it mean to be born in a concentration camp, arguably one of the most inhospitable places on earth? Eva Clarke was one of three “miracle babies” who saw the light of day in KZ Mauthausen in Austria. Nine days after her birth, the Second World War ended. As a newborn, Eva’s chances of survival were extremely slim; against all odds, she lived, making her and her mother Anka the only survivors of their extended family. In 1948, they emigrated from Prague to the UK and settled in Cardiff, Wales. Eva regularly addresses audiences, and her remarkable story has been featured in the British and American media. She and her mother are among the protagonists of Wendy Holden’s book Born Survivors: Three Young Mothers and their Extraordinary Story of Courage, Defiance, and Hope (Harper, 2015). Series: "Library Channel" [Humanities] [Show ID: 32849]
