This week, on Alive After Reading, I have a conversation with, Kimi Alexandre, author of Guardians: Awakened. Both Kimi and I suffer from depression at times, and this conversation is mostly about the writing process. How do we get words down on the page? How do we keep going, in spite of our problems? Listen to find out, and thanks for all the downloads. Find my books at my amazon.com author page, or on the sidebar at mentalcellarpublications.com. Share and enjoy!

This week Terry and Justin sit down to talk with Kimi Alexandre about what it means to be a voice actor. In this modern digital age more and more stories are hitting the air, and someone has to bring them to life. We hope you enjoy!
I got together with Kimi Alexandre of the "Tale Chasing" podcast and the Guardians podcast-novel to talk about her new career, as a voice actor and voiceover artist. I'd come up with a title for a new podcast specific about voice careers and the voice acting industry: "We Should Talk." And well, that was pretty much all I had. So we kind of riffed off each other and explored what we would talk about if we did manage to do "We Should Talk" as a Podcast. I now have http://weshouldtalkpodcast.com registered, by the way. Doesn't go anywhere yet. Starting next week: I'll be recording Grizzly's Growls LIVE on BlogTalkRadio, at noon CST each Sunday.Part 1Discussion of Episode 100, again.Part 2Up at Mom's in Silver Bay for the past week. Didn't record there, though. A new Flash Fiction piece from Randall Head, coming next on Stories from the Hiber-Nation.Part 3Mur Lafferty's coming out with the fifth and last book in her "Heaven" series, entitled "War." (I said sixth. Oops.) Played the Promo.Part 4I actually got permission to use a performance of Mouret's "Rondo" from "Gossamer Winds," a wind quintet out of Denver Colorado. Thought I might use that as new theme music for "Hiber-Nation." And I might not; I do like Owen Poteat's performance of Pachelbel's "Canon in D." Tell me what you think! From Devo Spice of The FUMP: "Getting Old Sucks!"Part 5More talk about alla my books on Podiobooks.com. "Flatland" was until recently one of the Podiobooks Top 10, measured by the number of new subscriptions in the previous 30 days. Isn't today, though. Oh, well. And Finally...Ongoing and Upcoming: Flatland on Hiber-Nation and Podiobooks. Randall's Flash Fiction piece on Hiber-Nation. A brief appearance on PodioRacket. A couple of lines on Kimi Alexandre's "Guardians." An upcoming role as the villain in an episode of Darker Projects "Tales from the Museum" series. And probably a bunch of stuff I've forgotten!Theme: "Hot Swing" from Kevin MacLeodIDSL: "After the Storm" from JWitt (Jacob Wittenberg)

My interview with Kimiko Alexandre, host of the "Tale Chasing" podcast about writing Urban Fantasy, about her upcoming podcast novel project, "Guardians."Two things to keep in mind: this is the first interview I've attempted since High School (see Episode 97). Be gentle! And I have a minor role in the podcast myself. Kimi was a sweetheart to interview, very patient with me.The first episode of Guardians should be available around May 22.Theme "Hot Swing" from Kevin MacLeod.
