Podcasting has had its ups and downs since it first started. The market is big, but there's a lot of small fish out there and it's hard to get noticed. At the titular panel at Balticon53, Mark Redfield, Mike Luoma, Philippa Ballantine, Christiana Ellis, and Fred. G. Yost discussed where podcasting has been and what they hope and fear we'll see in the future. =============================== Thanks for listening! I'll be back next Monday with more rambling ideas about writing. If you enjoyed this episode, share it with your friends and subscribe! Sergeant Ariel Odipo held back a grimace as her squadron approached the Sepch encampment. She doubted they could see her face through the mirrored visor of her helmet, but she wasn’t taking any chances. She loosened her grip on her rifle as well. The tension was thick enough as it was. This was a peacekeeping mission, after all. Besides, these people weren't the problem. Odipo had grown fond of their crabby little faces and way they waved their eyestalks when she approached. They were not her problem... Special thanks to Christiana Ellis and J.R. Blackwell for their voice talent this episodeThis episode also featured "Srvival In A House Darkening" by Micheal Masley. I've been hearing from old friends from Blackthorne Repertory Theatre lately, which is pretty cool. Amazing how this Internet search stuff works. Didn't know anybody'd even be searching, much less finding such stuff. Got my first donation today! So now the show is officially "Sponsored by Donations from People Like You," just like the big guys. And, while I'd somewhat lost heart, I'm told my show "has heart," even though I still don't know what the darn thing's about. Today, it's about 30 minutes...Did a brief review of "Nina Kimberly the Merciless," by Christiana Ellis. Kinda funny, but also sad and touching in some ways. Maybe that's just me? Recommended.Featuring "Don't Wake Me Please" by Owen Poteat. Very pretty.Theme music from Kevin MacLeod, as per usual.
