MOYDUH! Now that we have your attention, RvT watched the Netflix limited documentary event "The Sons Of Sam" and we got some serious feelings we need to discuss, preferably over cosmos. Naturally things go off the rails and we somehow stuff Star Wars references into what should've been a straightforward crime podcast. Do we understand the meaning of straightforward? The answer is clearly no. And given how much we talk about the Snyder cut, we feel we are owed a lifetime supply of hotdogs from Warner Bros. This is a good'n, especially since we got our pal JAMIE VERDERAME in the house. Plus our song of the week ("Pasado y Presente' by Los Macuanos) is guaranteed to get you in the mood to share an afternoon with us. Tune in, won't you?
The college life of an undocumented student is one that is often not given much consideration when understanding resources and experiences available to students. Isabella talks with Amit Severino, an intern at the Undocumented Student Services Office at UCSC to highlight resources and workshops available to slugs who are undocumented. Music: Ritmo de Amor by Los Macuanos

Más entrevistas and y'all already know what's happening! On today's very special episode of Songmess, we sat down to speak with Mexican producer Santos, one of the core members of Tijuana's revolutionary Ruidosón scene. For the uninitiated, Ruidosón started as a seasonal party but soon evolved into a musical genre and full fledged scene colliding traditional Mexican and Latin American rhythms with electronica, noise and sheer madness. The end product is often filled with satire and criticism, but without ever compromising Ruidosón's playful danceable nature. Sitting with one of the godfather's of Ruidosón for this interview was a real treat, and we get to discuss everything from the local Tijuana scene, to some of Santos' favorite producers, as well as his latest album, Agonía. The playlist is bumping so dust off your pointy boots and get ready for some of the most deranged tribal you've ever heard. Ajúa! Featured Artists: Santos, Booms y Claps, Siete Catorce, María y José, Los Macuanos, DJ Chedraui, Dengue Dengue Dengue and Dorian. Where Bev and Rich are joined by Ruben Torres, a founding member of Mexican electronic band Los Macuanos and one of the pioneers of Tijuana’s now infamous Ruidoson scene. Ruben was kind enough to share with us a treasure trove of little known projects, unreleased tracks, and man-on-the-ground insight to Mexico’s incredibly diverse underground electronic music scene. Also, as has become tradition, we pay tribute to a fallen icon, Juan Gabriel. Featured Artists: Siete Catorce, Espectro | Caudillo, Fonobisa, $eñor $in $exo, Hexorcismos, Santos, AMAZONDTOCOM, Invitado Sorpresa, Conejito Colvin, Pesina Siller, Capullo and Juan Gabriel. After an extended hiatus, the scavengers are back to the market with a whole new season, new art, new casting, new format, better quality and better English pronunciation. Not really, just new art (and it's not even finished!). Same drunken nonsense. In this Season's first episode our heroes meet at a Mexican restaurant and collectively fall in love with a Salvadoran waitress, then they mix wine with beer and everything goes down hill from there. As usual. Music by La Misa Negra, P3culiar, Sr. Flavio, Systema Solar and Los Macuanos.
