La Cafetera Roja fait partie de ces groupes dont la notoriété est assez confidentielle, mais qui traverse les années avec l'énergie de la scène. New York group La Banda Chuska combines the psychedelic takes on the sounds of 1970's Peru and Colombia and brings them to the beach party resulting in an irresistible cumbia-surf mixture. They play in-studio. In Peru and Colombia in the early 70s, young musicians who'd grown up with South American folk sounds began picking up electric guitars and playing their own psychedelic take on the rhythms and styles of the region. Fifty years later and one hemisphere to the north, the New York group called La Banda Chuska takes those sounds and adds elements of 60s surf guitar and 80s dance rock to create a fun, international sort of party music.  La Banda Chuska plays some songs from their 2025 album Basic Bichos.Set list: 1. Yankuam Warmpash es biólogo y representante de una de las nacionalidades indígenas que existe en Ecuador y Nathaly Pinto diseñadora. Elles estuvieron diseñando un conjunto de pictogramas. En esta entrevista nos cuentan sobre como son las agrupaciones indígenas y como se benefician de tener pictogramas que representen cada nacionalidad. Nos contaron sobre una colaboración de varios años donde el diseño de estos pictogramas tuvo un rol especial. First up is Zac Sokolow guitarist with “LA LOM”, in their conversation Zac describes his guitars a Kay with crazy copper panels and a red Airline guitar and tells us about the name “LA LOM” which stands for “Los Angeles League of Musicians”. Zac gives us a little bit of his musical history, starting on banjo playing bluegrass moving to guitar and rockabilly, then Zac tells us about the history of the band and walks us through his equipment. Zac talks about the music they're playing, Cumbia and Chicha music that originated in Peru. Su familia paterna le inculcó el amor por la salsa y por los ritmos puertorriqueños; mientras que lo que sonaba en las fiestas que organizaban sus abuelos maternos todos los viernes era el punto guajiro que les recordaba a la tierra de la que tuvieron que emigrar, Cuba. Esa mezcla de sonidos ha determinado la carrera de 'Guaynaa': su primera canción fue un rap denuncia contra el gobierno puertorriqueño por su mala gestión de la catástrofe que el paso del huracán María supuso para la isla; después experimentó con el reggaetón y ahora su objetivo es recuperar los ritmos de sus antepasados. El pasado mes de mayo publicó su último disco: "Cumbia y amor"
