Hello and welcome to the latest episode of NWR Connectivity. This week's episode is hosted again by Daan, accompanied by Bryan and Andrew. An expanded What We've Been Playing opens the show as Andrew is diving into Senran Kagura Burst, then relaxing a bit with Ultimate Angler/StreetPass Fishing and Pokemon Shuffle before wrangling larger monsters in Shadow of the Colossus. Bryan caught some more Pokemon in Pokemon Go and has been cruising the wide galaxy in No Man's Sky. Daan is playing Dragon Quest VII as it crosses to Europe for the first time ever, picked up episode 1 of Life is Strange and is grooving to the music in Tadpole Treble, by Matthew Taranto. After the games, the gentlemen discuss big changes in Pokemon Sun and Moon as well as some NX rumors. Welcome to a very special episode of NWR Connectivity. Zero Time Dilemma released on June 28 for 3DS, but Donald and friend of the site Syrenne McNulty both reviewed the game and took to the microphone to talk about what they witnessed. There were plenty of questions going into the game, but were they answered well? Or at all? This podcast contains unfiltered spoilers for the entire Zero Escape trilogy, particularly Zero Time Dilemma, and is best listened to following the completion of the game. In addition to her work as a critic, Syrenne's independently developed games are now on the eShop: I've Got To Run (Wii U) and I've Got To Run Complete Edition (3DS). This is the audio version of the live Connectivity stream, where Nicholas Bray, Neal Ronaghan, Zachary Miller and Scott Thompson banded together to chat about Starfox Adventures, Dinosaurs and a multitude of other smaller things. The gang were eventually joined part way through by Renegade Kid's Jools Watsham, along with NWR staffer Daan Koopman. We need your Listener Mail! It's been a while, but the doc is back to answer more questions about space. From Soviet secrets to hyper-sleep, tweeting to commercialization, we cover a wide range of topics and still have plenty left for next time. Just like last time, this episode is hosted and edited by Scott Thompson and was originally presented as a bonus segment on NWR Connectivity. If you have any interest in video games, be sure to check our their weekly episodes! Big thanks to Scott for letting us rehost this content to reach even more curious listeners.
It finally happened. After months of successfully putting it off, we were all forced to talk about...books. We talk about books for over two hours. Zach, Gina, Nelson, Marcus, and Courtney all give their Top Five books in this epic bookcast. Take notes--you may want to read a few of these. More than anything else, we learn that books are Marcus' absolute favorite storytelling medium, at towards the end, he goes on a Terry Pratchett tear that lasts for what seems like half the episode. But then Zach talks about a dinosaur book for way too long, so it all evens out. Not much else to say: this episode is strangely focused. What are your Top Five books? Do any them have to do with a certain Frog and/or Toad? Or a Paddington Bear? Let us know in the comments! Or you can email us at crosstawk@gmail.com. You can subscribe to the show on iTunes, of course--where you should also rate us (nicely). If you like the Frozen North Dinnercast, you might also like the other Crosstawk shows, like Box Office Poison, Discover Music Project, and...once in a blue moon...Crosstawk Comics! And if you like hearing Zach's smooth baritone, which was affected by swollen vocal chords this episode, you should check out his other show, NWR Connectivity, which is NOT about books. I swear.
Everyone's curious about space, so we asked the NWR community for their questions, and then Jonny tried to answer them on this podcast. The show is hosted and edited by Scott Thompson, who does great work on NWR Connectivity, where this audio originally appeared as a bonus segment. Drop your own questions into the comments section for this episode on Crosstawk, or head over to the NWR forums and contribute to the original thread.
Episode 12 of the Frozen North Dinnercast proves to be the most epic podcast of all time. In addition to the regular band of misfits, we've got two East Coast who didn't know any better: all the way from NWR Connectivity, which is Zach's other podcast, comes Neal Ronaghan and his lovely wife Lauren. Couldn't get a better bunch of people together. I'm not saying this show was difficult to edit, but it DID require editing, which is unusual. Beer was consumed, and topics of unspoken social taboos came up. I'm not sure a bunch of white people can discuss this hilarious YouTube video starring Troy Barnes, but it WAS, and I cut that shit out of the show. So there's THAT. But you know what? We talked about other things instead, like Wes Anderson's Batman movie (thanks to Crosstawk Comics for that brilliant spoof. Then there's something about Superman choking a bitch, false allegations that Zach doesn't know how to fucking read, an incredible feature film starring the incomparible Vanilla Ice, a hair-licking cat, and a certain Rob Zombie song that was EVERYWHERE in the 90's. Like the show? Of course you do. You should leave a note on the website (www.crosstawk.com) or sit down and take five minutes to rate and review us on iTunes because happiness is what powers our souls, like Care Bears but with more booze. You can follow most of us on Twitter: Zach @zmiller1902, Marcus @Marchaos1, Neal @nron10, and you can try to follow Lauren @sohavewe but don't be surprised if she completely ignores you. As usual, Gina, Nelson, and Courtney remain ever vigilent in their off-hand dismissal of that superior social media platform.

FND is back, and it's a big of a special episode this time. Instead of the usual informal discussion, Zach decided to take a page out of NWR Connectivity's book and dedicated a full episode to general knowledge trivia. Do you know more than our favorite bunch of Alaskans? (Note: You may!) In any case, when you're through listening, what you really ought to do is go on over to iTunes and show your appreciation by leaving a review. This is the best way to get the word out about Crosstawk and general, and I know I speak for all of the people who contribute to this little corner of the internet when I say that we'd all be in your debt. So please do so. Please. Jon Rind is inconsolable. Mike Sklens can't sleep at night. Jonny can't even bring himself to listen to Phish. Only you can prevent forest fires (and our depression). That aside, we'll see you this Friday for a new Discover Music Project!
