This is First Aid Spray - a Resident Evil podcast by fans, for fans! We uncover mysteries and celebrate histories with one of Resident Evil's most interesting oddities in Revelations 2. Being released between RE6 and RE7, how does this game feel? What does it offer to long-term fans? Does the episodic nature work? Does the asymmetrical gameplay work? And is Barry based or is he Barry The Bastard? In the news, Capcom announces more sales and fiscal statistics and we discuss what that may mean for Resident Evil in 2025 and 2026. Hello everybody! Welcome back to another exciting episode of Trophy Talk! In this episode, Josh and Colin break down the news and game release information from Xbox's most recent Developer Direct, as well as other news of Forza Horizon 5 coming to PS5. What does this mean for your trophy statistics and backlog? Well, namely there's a shit ton of trophies coming our way. If games from Xbox Studios are any indication, the coming titles like Forza and even Master Chief Collection will keep their exact same trophy lists / achievements lists. On the one hand that's great, you have many many many trophies to potentially earn. At the same time this thinking is a bit sloppy. Trophy lists were never and are never designed in this same way on the PlayStation side. The end result is something like MCC which contains 700 achievements potentially coming over to PS5. Is that really what we want? Or is there a better middle ground where games are brought over with trophy lists designed in a thoughtful way. On top of all that we of course have platinum shout outs and rage gods shout outs brought to you from our Discord! Josh takes the reigns with hosting this episode and does a fantastic job highlighting the smaller and more obscure titles that our community has been chasing Platinums in. Finally, listener inquiries and what we've been playing round out the show. Josh has been chasing his dream of becoming the new drummer for a rock group in his recent VR adventures, as well as chancing survival in multiple games with exclusion zones, (Pacific Drive, and Stalker). Colin continues his incredibly long grind with Resident Evil: Revelations, as well as chats Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League, and his first 20 hours or so with Star Wars: Outlaws. Thank you so so much for listening to the episode, we hope that you enjoy!

Hello there everybody and welcome to the first episode of 2025! We hope that you all had a wonderful and restful holiday season with your family and friends, and got to enjoy some quality relaxation and gaming time. If you haven't heard our announcement episode / dispatch from a week or so ago, there are lots of fun and exciting changes in 2025 for Trophy Talk and the other shows under the Trophy Talk Network. One of the not so fun things, in fact very bittersweet things though is that this episode is Darryl's last episode as a co-host of Trophy Talk. With life changing events on the way for him (which he goes in to this episode) he felt that it was the right time for him to ride away into the sunset. Fear not though, Darryl will still be in the community and we hope to have him on as a guest whenever he feels up to it! Having said that, this episode in the main focuses on what we've been playing for the past two weeks, which as been a lot! Josh has fully immersed himself in the realm of 3D with his foray and continued exploits with the PSVR2. Does it add a whole new dimension to trophy hunting? In some sense yes it does! Darryl closes out the year strong with Life is Strange: True Colors and the platinum in a Discord favorite, Resident Evil: Remake. Colin, eager to game after being away from his console for a few weeks continues his grinds in Resident Evil: Revelations, and Black Ops 6 but also takes a much needed trip to Constantinople / Istanbul in Assassin's Creed: Revelations. Thank you for listening, and enjoy!
For this spooky episode we take a look at Resident Evil Revelations 2, a game I really hate the cover of. Something about that eye always threw me off and made me want to never play it. I am glad I finally did, a 3rd person more horror then action RE game which we desperately needed back then before we got seven. This is a game that was released episodically, but all within a month. come listen to what we think about this title. We can do it all here at the Here Comes The Spooky Podcast. We can provide mediocre reviews of horror movies, being mildly handsome, and talk about Resident Evil till the goddamn BOWs come home. Revelations 1 & 2 should have been the proper RE 7 and 8 and wont hear different!
In a very special Noob Talk Radio episode starring special guest co-host Mr. Michael Evans, we discuss recent duelling comments from Ubisoft and Larian Studios regarding the state of subscription services in our beloved industry, meanwhile layoffs occur at Eidos Montreal along with the new Deus Ex seemingly cancelled, Sony announces the first State of Play of 2024, Suicide Squad pulled one hour after early access launch due to bug, massive Indiana Jones gameplay reveal out of Xbox, and Capcom decides to add DRM to 11-year old Resident Evil Revelations. Please do enjoy.
Capcom is seemingly at "war" with modders. The video game company is using a new DRM package to seemingly make modding much more difficult for games such as Street Fighter 6 and Resident Evil. As a result, gamers are downvoting affected games to oblivion on Steam. Is Capcom in the right, or are they going to give themselves a bigger PR black eye by cracking down on mods? ➡️ Tip Jar and Fan Support: http://ClownfishSupport.com ➡️ Official Merch Store: http://ShopClownfish.com ➡️ Official Website: http://ClownfishGaming.net Additional Context: Capcom, the video game giant known for hits like "Street Fighter" and "Resident Evil," has recently ignited a firestorm in the gaming community by implementing a new Digital Rights Management (DRM) software, Enigma Protector, in several of its PC titles. This move appears to be part of Capcom's broader strategy to combat modding, which they have previously expressed concerns about, particularly regarding mods that are deemed offensive or could damage the company's reputation. The controversy began when Capcom issued an unannounced update to the 2013 game "Resident Evil Revelations" on Steam. Gamers quickly discovered that this update included the Enigma Protector DRM, which is designed to prevent illegal copying, hacking, and modification of game files. However, this DRM implementation led to several issues, including frame rate drops, random crashes, and broken graphical options, negatively impacting the game's performance and playability. Although Capcom later retracted the update due to these problems, stating they would re-release it once the issue is resolved, the damage had already been done. This incident sparked a wave of backlash from the gaming community, with many gamers review bombing "Resident Evil Revelations" on Steam, resulting in a significant drop in the game's rating. Further investigation revealed that "Resident Evil Revelations" was not the only game affected. Other titles in Capcom's catalog, including "Capcom Arcade Stadium," "Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium," "Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection," "Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection," "Resident Evil 5," "Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection," and "Strider (2014)," have also received updates that include the Enigma Protector DRM. This development has raised questions about Capcom's stance on modding. In October 2023, during Capcom's Open Conference Professional RE:2023, company programmer Taro Yahagi stated that "all mods are defined as cheats, except when they are officially supported," implying a strong anti-modding position. He mentioned that while many mods positively impact games, some can harm the company's reputation and be mistaken for legitimate game features. However, it's worth noting that there are differing opinions on the impact of the Enigma DRM on game performance and modding. A prominent Resident Evil modder, known as FluffyQuack, has stated that the claims about Enigma causing performance issues and blocking mods are "nonsense." FluffyQuack pointed out that Enigma has been used in other Capcom games, like "Resident Evil 5" and "Street Fighter 6," without reported performance issues or significant glitches. This modder believes that Capcom's use of DRM is more about combating piracy and cheating rather than specifically targeting modding. Capcom's recent actions regarding DRM implementation have sparked a heated debate in the gaming community. While the company aims to protect its intellectual property and maintain the integrity of its games, its approach has led to dissatisfaction among gamers and modders. This controversy highlights the delicate balance between protecting digital rights and preserving the gaming community's creative freedom. Studio Soundtracks takes listeners behind the scenes of how music is crafted for film and television by hearing directly from composers, songwriters and music professionals in the Entertainment Industry. Listen to inspiring conversations about composition and hear works from Emmy, Grammy, and Oscar-winning film scores on the show. BRENDAN ANGELIDES Brendan Angelides' (formerly known as ESKMO) arrival at the world of scoring in 2016 was exactly the opportunity he had been hoping for. It felt conducive to the narrative process and sonic aesthetic he had developed in his work as a recording artist, being deeply in the mindset of The Echo Society, a collaborative of local Los Angeles artists and composer, at the time and recognizing the potential of his sound within a visual framework. Since 2016, Angelides has written the soundtracks for seven seasons of Billions, as well as Echoes (Netflix), Super Pumped (Showtime) and the 2021 film Naked Singularity. While scoring the four seasons of Netflix's celebrated 13 Reasons Why, he collaborated with Selena Gomez to produce a cover of Yazoo's “Only You.” In 2023, Angelides' embrace of new creative territories expands again as he presents his first video game score with Assassin's Creed: Mirage. Bringing his electronic artistry to the Ubisoft adventure set in ninth century Baghdad, Angelides worked with musicians connected with the region and culture including the New York Arabic Orchestra and Tunisian artist Emel Mathlouthi, whose viral protest song during the Arab Spring inspired the theme for Mirage's courageous female lead. The year also marks Angelides' most ambitious project with The Echo Society to date. Their soundtrack to director Darren Aronofsky's forthcoming film ‘Postcard from Earth' was showcased at the world's largest 4K screen at the Sphere, Las Vegas, across 160,000 speakers and 1600 subwoofers. NIMA FAKHRARA Iranian-born composer Nima Fakhrara has honed his craft for nearly twenty years by scoring more than 100 feature films, multiple AAA game franchises and international television shows, as well as crafting commercial music for boutique brands. This massive body of work led acclaimed director Anna Forester to tap Nima as composer for Bad Robot's latest feature film LOU (2022, starring Academy Award winner Allison Janney). His unique blend of East-meets-West and command of striking, sonic textures and timbres led gaming legend David Cage to select him to compose the music for 2018's wildly successful and critically acclaimed DETROIT BECOME HUMAN and the announcement to the Star Wars video game franchise ECLIPSE. Other gaming credits include WARHAMMER: SPACE MARINES 2, RESIDENT EVIL: REVELATIONS 2 and 1979 REVOLUTION. While his music is found all over the American media landscape, the composer's musical journey started back in Tehran at age five. Young Nima lugged his santur up six flights of stairs for each lesson with a master instructor. This early education imbued Fakhrara with a firm grasp of Persian classical music, an unyielding discipline, and a knack for complex rhythms. After moving to the Washington DC area at age 12, Fakhrara later earned a degree in composition from California State University while simultaneously studying ethnomusicology and Music Anthropology. Studio Soundtracks is made possible in part by the generous support of Spitfire Audio, makers of inspiring sounds and scoring tools for film, in collaboration with the world's best composers, musicians and engineers. The (New) Joy of Gaming Podcast - Episode Twenty-Two Resident Evil Retrospective: Resident Evil (PS1) to Resident Evil 4 Remake (PS5/XSX) On this episode of The (New) Joy of Gaming Podcast, we prepare for Resident Evil 4 Remake in the only way that seemed fitting: by taking a look back at the entire Resident Evil franchise and celebrating the massive impact this game has had. After all, Capcom's series brought the term “survival horror” into existence, creating a brand new game genre and then evolving their own formula with each and every subsequent entry. It's quite a legacy, and one that remains stronger than ever. We discuss the entire game series - from the first entry on Playstation (Resident Evil), through the many sequels, re-releases and remakes on Gamecube and PS2 (Resident Evil GC Remake, Resident Evil 4, etc.), to the most recent modern entries, including the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3, and the move to first-person with RE7: Biohazard and RE Village - and it's a heck of a journey. We even take time to acknowledge Sweet Home - an obscure Famicom horror title never released in the US that nonetheless played a crucial role in inspiring the Resident Evil series.

The Franchise Festival crew performs a deep dive on Resident Evil: Revelations' development, gameplay, and plot with Arielle Danan (@HuggableHipster). Along the way, we speculate about mechanical connections to Dead Space and lore connections to Resident Evil: Code Veronica. We may not have enjoyed the game as much as previous series entries, but we still had a great time discussing Capcom's attempt to revive traditional survival horror. You can find Arielle on Twitter, YouTube, Patreon, and TikTok. It may be hard to believe, but Resident Evil Revelations has just celebrated its 10th birthday! Originally conceived as a portable experience for the Nintendo 3DS released in January 2012, this curiously often overlooked title has received several enhancements over the years and according to Capcom remains very much part of the main series. But as we discuss, Rev 1 is a strange beast. Despite containing many of the core ingredients that appeal to fans, Chris and Jill together, a return to horror after the action behemoth of RE5, and a larger focus on hub, key-questing gameplay, something about it doesn't feel quite right. Rombie isn't much of a fan and Batman aside, the other boys are firmly on the Rev2 train. But regardless there are many positives to take from this game. So sit back and relive the times of Grinder, Jackass, Jessica's sweet-ass, and Conan O'Brien's luxury cruise on the Queen Zenobia.

His film credits include “The Girl in the Photographs”, “Consumed,” “The Signal,” and “Gatchman” (Battle of the Planets), while within video game genre, his credits he has “Resident Evil: Revelations 2 and the 2016 release “1970 Revolution.” One of his most recent projects for a video game is DETROIT: BECOME HUMAN, where is joined by composers Philip Sheppard and Joe Paesano in creating this highly anticipated game's original score.DETROIT: BECOME HUMAN is an adventure game developed by Quantic Dream and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4, released worldwide on 25 May 2018. The plot revolves around three androids: Kara, who escapes the owner she was serving to explore her newfound sentience and protect a young girl; Connor, whose job it is to hunt down sentient androids; and Markus, who devotes himself to releasing other androids from servitude. They may survive or perish depending on dialogue choices that shape the story as customized by the player. In this episode of THE ANNOTATOR, Nima Fakhrara, over 8 tracks of his work, opens up about his main challenge of writing music for one of the games main characters, CONNOR. He talks about how, while creating something cold and robotic, he also needed his music for this android investigator to evoke emotion. That challenge was increased by choosing to use only synths and electronics to accomplish this. Nima Fakhara also talks about how Connor's music is the type of music he believes an android might create for themself.ANNOTATED TRACKS03:22 - Hostage05:19 - Your Choice09:27 - Now11:41 -They All Look the Same15:17 - I Trust You15:31 - Meet Markus18:08 - Wake Up19:32 - Connor SuiteSOUNDTRACKThe original score has not been released.MORE ABOUT THE COMPOSERYou can also hear more music and find out more about Nima Fakhrara at his official site (https://nimafilmmusic.com/) or follow the composer on twitter @ostadnimaABOUT THE ANNOTATORProduced by Christopher Coleman (@ccoleman) and you can Find more episodes at THEANNOTATOR.NET or you can subscribe via iTunes, Stitcher Radio or wherever you find quality podcasts.FOLLOW USTwitter @audioannotatorFacebook @TheAnnotatorEmail theannotatorpodcast@gmail.comSUBSCRIBEiTunesSpotifyStitcher RadioGoogle Play PodcastsRSS Feed
