The Worldz conference starts this week, or at least the biggest expression of what's a year-round experience called Worldz, and a related professional network called PTTOW! (it's their exclamation point, not mine). The mothership launches Tuesday, Sept. 10 and Sept. 11 at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center, an unusual mix of marketing conference, self improvement, conscious capitalism, world-changing tech prognostication and more. It packs a ton of highly intimate conversations between about 2,500 attendees and maybe 250 "masters" and "titans," top-dog talkers from companies such as Mastercard, Hyundai, Estee Lauder, IHeartMedia, Vans, Marvel, T-Mobile, and Facebook. To learn more about Worldz, I connected with founder Roman Tsunder and Samantha "Sammie" Rabstein, the conference's senior director of programming. It's a conference, and really a year-round experience, I strongly endorse that you take advantage of, if you can. In the meantime, listen to my conversation with Sammie and Roman here. Some good stuff. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/davidlbloom/support
This week we have a special bonus episode. We’re releasing one of our favorite interviews featuring Roman Tsunder, the mastermind behind WORLDZ and PTTOW. If you haven’t heard, WORLDZ is a global summit that unites tomorrow’s leaders with CEOs, CMOs & cultural icons to create the world of tomorrow. As you’ll hear in the conversation between Roman and SnackNation CEO Sean Kelly, the driving force for Roman has been his belief in what he calls “irrational generosity.” It’s something he’s experienced personally in the most successful leaders, and that he believes is actually the key to their success. This is a deep, seriously inspiring conversation that you don’t want to miss. Not to mention that this content is especially timely because WORLDZ 2018 is less than a week away! This year the summit will feature leaders from top brands like Amazon, Google, Hulu, Samsung, VICE media, Marvel and so many more - plus keynotes from everyone from Senator Barbara Boxer, to Rose McGowan, to the RZA. And don’t miss a joint Master Course on Culture taught by SnackNation CEO Sean Kelly and RXBAR CEO Peter Rahal. If that weren’t enough - Brand Builder will be on the floor at WORLDZ this year, recording conversations with all the inspiring leaders at the show. For more info visit WORLDZ.us. What’s the point? Is it money? Is it something more? Roman gathers today’s most influential icons and leaders to do what’s NBDB (Never Been Done Before.) How can we drive culture in a positive direction? Roman Tsunder thinks he’s found a way. In this episode, he explains his mission with PTTOW (Plan To Take On the World) and WORLDZ, and tells Joe how he carved out success from rejection. When he received 73 rejection letters in response to 72 applications, it just meant “yes” must be coming soon. Hear his story and how he now works to shape our world. Lessons: 1. Don’t just preach to those that agree, reach out to the unindoctrinated. 2. The lowest points in your life can be the greatest pillars for growth. 3. To be the best, cultivate a healthy obsession for what you do. Link: PTTOW http://pttow.com/ WORLDZ http://worldz.us/ CREDITS Producer – Marion Abrams, Madmotion, llc. Roman is one of those dudes who thinks he can take over the world. Spend enough time with him and you’ll believe it too — maybe about him, and more likely about yourself. He’s the founder of the 10-year old PTTOW!, a gathering of the world’s most influential business and cultural leaders, and of Worldz — now in its second year — which seeks to inspire the next generation of leaders. I’ll be at Worldz on July 31st in Los Angeles and would love to see all of my listeners there. You can register and find more information at www.worldz.us Meanwhile, in today’s interview you’ll learn how Roman has built such an amazing career for himself, how he consistently challenges himself to get out of his comfort zone, and how he surrounds himself with such dynamic people.
