Nothing we have is ours as we are charged to be God's stewards. If all we have belongs to God, and if God calls us to be generous, we have no reason not to be irrationally generous. The question is - does our generosity reflect a dependence upon God or a dependence upon self?

• This Series: We embrace THIS. We live THIS out. When THIS happens, everyone benefits. When THIS happens, God's blessings flow. THIS opens doors and solves problems. THIS inspires others to do THIS too. THIS is who we are. THIS is What We Do! • This Week: We will look at three levels of irrational generosity. We need to examine where we are and where we need to be. Key Phrase: “Generous people plan to do what is generous…” Isaiah 32:8 (NLT)
“You shouldn't have!” “You didn't need to do that!” All of have said those words. Maybe even heard them. What if our life was meant to be defined by them? What if what we give is actually a gauge of our understanding, not of what we have, but of what we've been given? As we continue to journey towards our tomorrow together, we're going to open up the hood and look at our culture: what is actually going to take us there.

Christmas is a season of giving. We celebrate generosity, and we criticize Scrooge. But when Jesus starts to talk about money and giving, we cringe. His style of generosity doesn't make sense. How can it be "MORE blessed to give than...
The things we hold onto have the most power but, when we give that away we release it’s power in our lives.
This week we have a special bonus episode. We’re releasing one of our favorite interviews featuring Roman Tsunder, the mastermind behind WORLDZ and PTTOW. If you haven’t heard, WORLDZ is a global summit that unites tomorrow’s leaders with CEOs, CMOs & cultural icons to create the world of tomorrow. As you’ll hear in the conversation between Roman and SnackNation CEO Sean Kelly, the driving force for Roman has been his belief in what he calls “irrational generosity.” It’s something he’s experienced personally in the most successful leaders, and that he believes is actually the key to their success. This is a deep, seriously inspiring conversation that you don’t want to miss. Not to mention that this content is especially timely because WORLDZ 2018 is less than a week away! This year the summit will feature leaders from top brands like Amazon, Google, Hulu, Samsung, VICE media, Marvel and so many more - plus keynotes from everyone from Senator Barbara Boxer, to Rose McGowan, to the RZA. And don’t miss a joint Master Course on Culture taught by SnackNation CEO Sean Kelly and RXBAR CEO Peter Rahal. If that weren’t enough - Brand Builder will be on the floor at WORLDZ this year, recording conversations with all the inspiring leaders at the show. For more info visit WORLDZ.us. James Roberson III: "Before you honor God with your time, talent and treasure - give Him your heart." (Recorded on Sunday February 7, 2016)
We will lead the way with irrational generosity. We truly believe it is more blessed to give than to receive.
Today's sermon looks at financial generosity. There are lots of ways to be generous and we talk about them often. Generosity with time and talent are huge and necessary and greatly appreciated. The church doesn't operate without that kind of generosity. But today is about financial generosity and how a We mentality leads to Irrational Generosity whereas a Me mentality kills generosity of any kind.
