Today we are looking at a really great encounter with the wee little man. Luke 19:1-10 is where we find the story of Zacchaeus and his encounter with Jesus. Zacchaeus was very eager to see and hear from Jesus. Let's explore this encounter today. The music on the podcast is from John Nugent. John is a Chicagoland area musician who has been a real blessing to Tabor Church. Support the show (http://taborchicago.org/give/)

Please join us for our study this week as we review a few familiar parables to realign ourselves with how the Lord views everyone who is lost, asking the critical question, "What would YOU do for the one who is lost?"
As David dances rapturously for the arrival of God's presence, he looks foolish and undignified in the eyes of those concerned with properness and reputation.Jesus took this a step further. His entire ministry was bringing God's presence to lost people, making Jesus look even more foolish, reckless, and undignified in the eyes of powerful people. Dangerously so. And (for those of us who have been spiritually, physically, and socially saved by His ridiculous love), beautifully so.Find out how we can act like holy fools and be undignified for our King and neighbour, in the same way He was undignified for us.
Here is a Bible sermon entitled: Seek And Save The Lost. Seek And Save The Lost.
Jesus tells the disciples in John 4 to "Open their eyes to the fields ripe for Harvest" after they seemingly missed an opportunity to share with the Samaritan women at the well. Has the church today fallen into the same trap of missed opportunities? Have we spent so much time focused on ourselves and our own spiritual growth and maturity that we have lost sight of our task? Do we even see these "fields" that Jesus was talking about? What will it take for us to get back to the place where sharing our faith and being Christ witness to those around us is our main priority, or is that even possible at this point? Join us as we discover how regain a "field focused vision" that will allow the Holy Spirit to open our eyes to all we have been missing. From John 4 and also is connected to the sermon theme from January 21st "A Fierce Urgency of Now"
The concept of evangelism can be fraught with baggage, fear and arrogance. But what if there was another way to think about inviting people to participate in the Kingdom?
Introducing someone to the God who made them, who loves them and has a purpose for their life is the greatest gift you can give someone. A relationship with God changes everything. We do this by simply walking across the room. #wearetheGrove
