A few weeks ago I had the privilege of sharing a sermon titled “Seeking The Lost” with our local congregation. Ever since I was a little girl I dreamt of being a pastor (or an usher), and was beyond blessed with this beautiful and humbling opportunity. The preparation period was very different from my typical Wednesday message both for the podcast and our youth program. This stretched me in many ways, and the Lord worked on my heart preparing me and loving me through it all. I was shocked to see most of our high school students show up to church and have many friends and family with us in person and online. I felt loved, cared for, and prepared to share what Jesus asked me. It was if the pain had prepared to share this exact message, and the weight of it still weighs heavy on me. Not only do I believe this is a message directly from God's heart, but because I grew up in the pews, this message speaks to an even greater need for the continual growth and reformation of the church as a corporate and spiritual body. My prayer is that this message is not directly addressed to my local congregation but that, on a global scale, we see a need to reach the lost where they are, not where we want them to be, and not with judgment but with “our hand stretched out still.” ________________________________ Seeking a greater relationship with Jesus but don't know where to start? 1-26-25 | Jesus used parables to shed light on the inner workings of the Kingdom of God. Some understood, some did not. Over the next several weeks, we will work hard to grow in our understanding of the Kingdom of God through these parables in the Gospels. Come ready to learn and be surprised by the master storyteller; Jesus.
It's easy for church to become a personal experience—focusing only on what we get out of it—while losing sight of those around us who also need God and a church family. But God's heart is for everyone to know Him. Do we share that same desire for those who are still searching for Him?
We've seen how our big prayer as a church must be to grow in knowing Jesus, and in loving his church. Today we see how that flows into the final part of our prayer - to grow in reaching the lost. Evangelism is something most of us find very difficult. But God's plan is for the local church to reach the lost together. Listen along as Dan unpacks 1 Peter 2:1-12, showing us how we declare and display our God as a people, not just as individuals.
An episode from Seneca Bible Baptist Church, a conservative, independent body of King James Bible believers located in Seneca Falls, New York. We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the verbally and plenary inspired Word of God. The Scriptures are inerrant, infallible and God breathed, and therefore are the final authority for faith and life. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament are the complete and divine revelation of God to Man. The Scriptures shall be interpreted according to their normal grammatical historical meaning. The King James Version of the Bible shall be the official and only translation used by the church (2 Tim. 3:16-17). We believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—each coeternal in being, co-identical in nature, coequal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections (Deut. 6:4). We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men (Phil. 2:58). We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through his death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; and, that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead (1 Peter 1:35). We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven, and is now exalted at the right hand of God, where, as our High Priest, He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate (Acts 1:910). We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins 1 Pet. 1:1819). We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God's power and are thus secure in Christ forever (John 6:3740, 1 Pet. 1:45). We believe in that “blessed hope,” the personal, imminent return of Christ Who will rapture His Church prior to the seven year tribulation period. At the end of the Tribulation, Christ will personally and visibly return with His saints, to establish His earthly Messianic Kingdom which was promised to the nation of Israel (Ps. 89:34; Dan. 2:3145; 19:1116; 20:16). Title: The Essential Elements For Reaching The Lost I தொலைந்து போனவர்களை அடைவதற்கான முக்கியமான காரியங்கள் Event: Sunday 1st Service Sermon Live - October Missions Sunday Speaker: Rev. Dr. Jim Reuben Elliot Date: October 13, 2024
In 2010, the world was captivated by the story of 33 Chilean miners trapped 2,300 feet underground after a catastrophic collapse at the San José mine. This powerful story of survival, endurance, and international cooperation highlights the miners' plight and the relentless efforts to save them. Rescuers worked tirelessly for over two months, drilling through solid rock, and ultimately brought every miner to safety using a specially designed capsule named "Phoenix." Drawing parallels to the Parable of the Lost Sheep in Luke 15, this message emphasizes God's heart for the lost and His relentless pursuit to bring us into the light of salvation. Just as the world celebrated the miners' rescue, heaven rejoices when one sinner repents. Join us as we explore the incredible rescue and its spiritual significance for the church today.

How do we love lost people without condoning harmful and sinful behavior? In this message, Pastor Jamie Nunnally will share three ways we can love the lost. Three weeks ago, we saw that Jesus described Himself saying:Luke 19:10 "For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost."Christians don't fight against the lost, we fight for the lost. Two weeks ago, we looked at the three ways Paul took the gospel and spread it far and wide in such a short about of time: in word, in deed and in power.Last week, Pastor Eric shared about losing the lost. How we act will affect people's perception of Jesus, so we must be careful and intentional so that we don't lose the lost through our behavior. Today, Loving the LostJohn 15:13 "There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends.""Like" is an emotion, "love" is a decision.Love does what is best for the OTHER person. Sometimes that's a hug, sometimes that's a push. James 1:20 "The wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God."Galatians 5:6 "...the only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love." Three ways that we can love the lost:1. Say something.Mark 6:34 "Jesus saw the huge crowd as he stepped from the boat, and he had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things."One of the most loving things you can do for someone who is lost is tell them the truth about Jesus.Ephesians 4:15 2. Do something.1 John 3:18 "Dear children, let's not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions."When it was God's time to reveal who he was to the world, he chose an act of service. A message without ministry is meaningless. James 2:15-16 "Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, 16 and you say, "Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well"—but then you don't give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do?"Christianity is a counter-cultural movement; but it can't be a movement if no one is moving. 3. Be someone.2 Corinthians 5:19-20 "For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. 20 So we are Christ's ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, "Come back to God!"You are Heaven's ambassador, not Heaven's bouncer. Col. 3:14 And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It's your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it.Love is the identifying uniform of the Christian. Are you loving the lost?

Steve Cable addresses James White's book 'The Rise of the Nones' in view of Probe's research about the church.
In this episode, Nate and Gabe share stories from the Bible of ones who exemplified this command being “wise as serpents and harmless as doves”. From Gideon to Moses to Stephen to Paul, the Bible has countless illustrations of how this command can be applied, how it should impact our lives and the lives of those around us.Throughout scripture, Jesus made it clear that He would send His followers into hostile environments - “as sheep among wolves.” The purpose of this is to further His Kingdom. But how is it possible for sheep to make a positive impact among wolves?! First we must walk in complete dependence on our Shepherd, Jesus Christ. The Shepherd is able to impart to us His wisdom and peace just like it is demonstrated through the serpent and dove. Possessing these vital qualities is paramount to our effectiveness in displaying the love and tenderness of Jesus not only to the lost, but even to our persecutors!Want to go deeper in studying this command of Christ? Our human tendency is to fight “fire with fire.” But in God's kingdom, this is not how things are to work. God wants our lives as believers to be marked by the disposition of a lamb and a dove. Listen as Nate and Gabe discuss how this command is not insinuating that we be “wimpy” as believers. But on the contrary, it is learning to walk in total dependence on the life of Jesus allowing Him to love the wolves through us. We overcome the wolves by laying down our lives in surrender to the Shepherd.Throughout scripture, Jesus made it clear that He would send His followers into hostile environments - “as sheep among wolves.” The purpose of this is to further His Kingdom. What does it look like to be a “sheep among wolves” and to respond as a harmless dove? In this episode Nate and Gabe delve into what Jesus meant when He spoke of the harmless attributes of a dove. As believers, our attitude toward the “wolves” should be one of love, tenderness, and compassion, desiring that they too would become sheep following Jesus as their Shepherd.Throughout scripture, Jesus made it clear that He would send His followers into hostile environments - “as sheep among wolves.” The purpose of this is to further His Kingdom. In Jesus' command Be Wise as Serpents, have you ever wondered what wisdom and snakes have in common? Snakes usually have a negative connotation, right? Even in scripture, they are very rarely referenced in a positive way. In this episode, Nate and Gabe will share fascinating insights into the positive characteristics of snakes that Jesus intends for us to emulate.Throughout scripture, Jesus made it clear that He would send His followers into hostile environments - “as sheep among wolves.” The purpose of this is to further His Kingdom. “Listen to them! Listen to them! They're right! I will spend the rest of my life searching for this God!” Dean couldn't have been more shocked to hear these exclamations coming from a Russian professor of the high school he was visiting that day. The setting: the 1990's post communist country of Russia. The country was filled with millions of people who had never heard the gospel; this would become Dean's mission field! Listen as Dean shares his unforgettable experience that would lead him to serving 5 years as a missionary in a land steeped in communism! It is a blessing to have Dean Kershner as a guest on the podcast. While many may know Dean for his gifted ability to impersonate historical heroes of faith, such as Vanya, he has also had the opportunity to invest in God's Kingdom through ministry overseas. Dean's international work began in Moscow, Russian in 1992 where he served for five years. In 2002, the Lord led Dean and his wife to begin working with Gospelink, a ministry that supports indigenous preachers financially, educationally, and practically. What do you think of when you hear the word “missionary”? Do you need to go to a foreign country? Do you need to have formal training? Or do you need to learn a foreign language? Unfortunately, we tend to stereotype missionaries leading us to define mission work unbiblically. In this episode, you won't want to miss what Dean Kershner has to share as he biblically defines mission work, shares precious stories and gives practical insight on learning to be a missionary as God defines it!It is a blessing to have Dean Kershner as a guest on the podcast. Even if we can't personally meet a need, we can pray for God to send laborers to meet it! In this episode Nate and Gabe exhort us to take time to allow God to share His heart of love and compassion for others with us. How is God stirring your heart? Has He given you a burden for a specific area? As He moves on your heart, pray! Our natural response when we see needs is usually to summon our human energy and attempt to “do something” to meet the need. But we will see in this command that the first thing we are instructed to do is to “pray to the Lord of the harvest.” As we pray, the Lord is not only able to give us His heart and perspective, but our prayers also enable Him to move in people and circumstances in ways that we never could!Want to go deeper in studying this command of Christ? One of the greatest things we can do for others is to pray for them. As Oswald Chambers said, “Prayer isn't preparation for the greater work; prayer is the greater work.” In this encouraging episode, Nate and Gabe cover practical questions such as, “How do we pray for laborers?” And “What are we to pray for laborers?” Through prayer, we can actually play a huge role in the labors of other people!.Our natural response when we see needs is usually to summon our human energy and attempt to “do something” to meet the need. A huge aspect of this command is found in John 4:35, “Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” We are often so busy and so focused on ourselves that we miss what God is doing in the lives of people around us.
