A construction professional and real estate developer, Shea is also a veritable chessed (kindness) machine. Under the aegis of his JCC of Marine Park (Brooklyn), he has launched an astonishing number and array of social services, including job training and placement, mentorship, food rescue, anti-hunger programs, computer proficiency clinics and much more. He is also a musician - instrumentalist, composer and singer - to boot; his most recent album is a collection of Yiddish songs dedicated to Holocaust survivors, which he distributed free of charge to this cherished but aging population. Shea organizes conferences for business professionals of all stripes, and we sat down in November 2018 at the Hilton Hotel in Staten Island, capping off the day-long TribeWorks event. This gathering was unique in that it coalesced over a dozen Jewish job service organizations, leveraging their joint resources and connections to present exceptional speakers and programming to several hundred eager participants.
