In this episode, Paul was asked to comment on an installation that inspectors are forcing the installation of a green bonding conductor between the meter enclosure and the service equipment. Since a neutral is already connected at each end of this installer, as permitted in 250.142 and as required by 250.24, the question being raised is about the parallel paths for return current and the pesky objectionable current argument.Well, on this episode I dig into both and give my opinion. Listen as Paul Abernathy, CEO, and Founder of Electrical Code Academy, Inc., the leading electrical educator in the country, discusses electrical code, electrical trade, and electrical business-related topics to help electricians maximize their knowledge and industry investment. If you are looking to learn more about the National Electrical Code, for electrical exam preparation, or to better your knowledge of the NEC then visit https://fasttraxsystem.com for all the electrical code training you will ever need by the leading electrical educator in the country with the best NEC learning program on the planet.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/master-the-nec-podcast--1083733/support.

In this episode we talk about the last race of the season, where the World's Constructor's Championship was won and battled for. We talk about the winners, the losers, said goodbye to a few drivers and discuss all the drama.
Join Brian and Patrick on the Hard Compound. Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2024, the final race of the season. Max Verstappen nearly takes out Oscar Piastri and almost ruins McLaren's chances for a Constructor's title. That's another reason why we predict F1 will enact the "Max rules" starting in 2025. We explain why McLaren winning the constructor's title frees Lando Norris to rid himself of all the self-doubt. Charles Leclerc gave it everything this season. Will Lewis Hamilton help Ferrari next year, or harm them? We tell you. Why we demand the Williams name be taken down. Why Mercedes will do better in 2025. Oh, and why we predict Apple will soon buy the global streaming rights to F1. Thank you, listener, for a fantastic time. This great season is over, but we will continue. Coming up, our favorite moments of F1 2024. Then, the annual "Effys" -- the biggest, best, dumbest, and worst of the F1 season. Then, pre-season testing and our outrageous predictions heading into F1 2025. Text Brian or PatrickAnd as always, thank you for listening to everybody's most beloved father and son F1 podcast!
Join Brian and Patrick on the Hard Compound, where the Qatar Grand Prix delivers chaos. And where we say our early goodbyes. To Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes. To Esteban Ocon. To the feisty Ferrari brothers, Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc. But, wait. There's more. The financial rise in team values. The global growth of F1. And why Toto Wolff chose wisely, but Christian Horner did not. Pierre Gasly remains woefully under appreciated. Ferrari's legitimate shot at winning yet another Constructor's title. And what's it going to take to beat Max Verstappen in 2025. Text Brian or PatrickAnd as always, thank you for listening to everybody's most beloved father and son F1 podcast!
Ted Kravitz is in Qatar to look ahead to the weekend's action at the Lusail International Circuit and discuss the latest news and talking points from around the F1 paddock.
The F1 season is almost over. Max Verstappen has joined Alain Prost and Sebastian Vettel as a four-time world champion. But there is one very important matter still to resolve. The Formula 1 Constructors' Championship may not have the same caché with fans, but it matters a lot to the teams; it dictates how much F1 prize money they earn. But this year it means even more; for the first time in 16 years, the two teams fighting it out are McLaren and Ferrari. This has echoes of the great years of Schumacher and Hakkinen of Hamilton, Alonso, Raikkonen and Massa. Ferrari hasn't won the title since 2008 and McLaren hasn't won it since 1998. Whoever wins, it's going to be epic! Which of these great names will prevail? Who has the stronger drivers? And how did we get here, when the season started with a series of Red Bull 1-2 finishes? With James to discuss this are; Rob Smedley, former race engineer to Felipe Massa at Ferrari, BBC Commentator and former McLaren mechanic Marc Priestly and Autosport's own Jake Boxall-Legge. Haydn Cobb and Kevin Turner join Bryn Lucas on the latest episode of the Autosport Q+A. This week, the trio discuss who will most likely succeed in the final three races of the 2024 season and if the sport can expect similar convergence to 2021's Championship fight between teams in the future. They also ponder whether Red Bull has a chance to reclaim second or even first in the Constructor's Championship. There are also discussions on whether the “free tyre change” rule under Red Flags needs to be changed after the Brazilian GP, concerns over the FIA's leadership after the departure of many of its staff, whether Greg Maffei stepping down as Liberty Media's CEO increases Andretti's chances of making the grid in the future, and Kevin is asked if Valtteri Bottas leaves F1 as the sport's “greatest teammate”. Join Brian and Patrick on the Hard Compound where we discuss the Mexico Grand Prix and this amazing 2024 F1 season. Lando Norris fighting to the last (with help from the stewards) to win his first driver's championship. Ferrari fighting to the last to win (another) Constructor's title. Fernando Alonso still fighting at 400! Great stuff. But, wait. There's more! Ferrari may not have regrets, but they should. Carlos Sainz has helped build them into a championship contender. Bringing on Lewis Hamilton next year completely changes the intra-team dynamic. Red Bull is a den of wolves and Sergio Perez is only human. Is Max Verstappen going to win his 4th WDC driving just the 4th best car?Why F1 needs permanent stewards. The aerodynamics voodoo causing so much chaos in Formula 1 from race to race. The ridiculously charmed life of Charles Leclerc. Why we should make the sprints a rookies-only event. Why shouldn't F1 drivers enjoy a smoke (or a Uncrustable) while serving a penalty? Finally, how cute was Yuki Tsunoda as a baby? Text Brian or PatrickAnd as always, thank you for listening to everybody's most beloved father and son F1 podcast!
Alex Kalinauckas and Stuart Codling wrap up their coverage of the Mexico Grand Prix, as Max Verstappen took the headlines again after receiving two 10-second time penalties for leaving the track and gaining an advantage while racing title rival Lando Norris on Lap 10. Alex and Stuart discuss the driving standards at play, team bosses Christian Horner and Helmut Marko's defence of Verstappen's actions, and what the paddock thinks of the World Champion's aggressive driving. There's also a discussion on race winner Carlos Sainz, who dominated the race en route to a 1-3 finish for Ferrari, reducing their Constructor's Championship deficit to 29 points, with Charles Leclerc nearly crashing into the wall at the final corner trying to defend from Norris' pressure.
Charles Leclerc wins his home race at Monaco and Ferrari's home race at Monza. And don't look now but Ferrari is in the hunt for the Constructor's.Oscar Piastri jeopardizes Lando's big chance. Good for him! Someone at McLaren needs that killer instinct. The "papaya rules" are dumb. You thought Renault (Alpine) was in free fall? No, Red Bull is in free fall. And Max Verstappen is not happy. Plus, our big driver prediction for Red Bull in 2025. But, wait. There's more! We got a Kevin Magnussen with nothing to lose. An FIA that conspires against American drivers. There's more! Why McLaren will regret letting Oscar win earlier this season. Why Liam Lawson is still without a seat in F1. Why Max Verstappen will not go on a Tiger Woods-like bender. Why Finland and Australia produce so many F1 drivers. Why we want to ditch the cool down room. We want a losers room. That's where all the tea gets served. Plus, our big F1 in China prediction. Text Brian or PatrickAnd as always, thank you for listening to everybody's most beloved father and son F1 podcast!
